What was it with kids picking fights with her? She was getting a little annoyed over this one now. Seriously why were they all coming out of the woodworks to mess with her. At least this girl had managed to ask nicely. She could humor a little kid in a case like this. Not that she'd go easy on the twerp and let her win or something though no way.

Maiya was surprised at how eager her Ralts was to keep going but she had the pokemon pull back, she'd been awful tired at the end of the last match and Maiya preferred to see her rest. Her Vulpix would be taking the lead this time around.

"You know what to do Meryl." She barely bothered to give the pokemon commands instead watch her dash from her side to the spoink in a quick attack. Easy enough. Her Vulpix was tolerant of the psywave it gave off in retaliation. Her Vulpix tucked its tails between its legs and its eyes got big, like a baby-doll's. As the spoinks ears drooped, letting down its guard Maiya almost felt bad for the pokemon.

Her Vulpix's next quick attack was a hard one. A really hard one. The spoint was obviously close to feinted at that point and Maiya called the Vulpix back to her side.

"Wait! The battle's not over Spoink can still attack!"

"Do you know what happens when that pokemon stops bouncing?" The girl just blinked at her and that was answer enough for Maiya to walk away. She was not that heartless.

Maiya was thinking about what to do with the rest of the day when all of a sudden what seemed to be a little ball of fluff almost came into view. Then she noticed the blue and when it found a perch she knew exactly what was happening next.

"Quick attack." Her Vulpic bolted, hitting the flying pokemon while it was still perched and it fell to the ground, obviously having had it's everything a bit ruffled. getting up and shaking itself off the pokemon, instead of flying as one would expect... actually just waddled its ass very swiftly across the ground to peck at the fox that had attacked it.

Her Vulpix went to use ember but soon found itself doing something else entirely, a sprial of fire errupted around the swablu, the little thing started to panic, trying to use astonish through the flames and it certainly hit while the vulpix was just as surprised as it was! But she wasn't about to take a hit lying down and this time actually did use ember on it this time.

Maiya was quite pleased by the foxes progression.

One last quick attack and Maiya motioned for the pokemon to fall back as she waited for the spinning fire to die down. once it was down enough and the swablu seemed tuckered out enough she threw an empty pokeball at it.

Now this was the sort of thing she was looking for.

Maiya was grinning when the capture went through, that was exactly the kind of thing she was hoping to have happen on the outting. As she went over to retrieve the pokeball something caught her eye, just her luck. The swablu had apparently been attracted to potion. One less Maiya was gonna have to deal with buying later. She didn't mind that. It was good in her book.

The item was pocketed while she turned the pokeball over in her hands and grinned. It was a popular pokemon, good find indeed. She walked back to her other two and the little group found their way around the outside of realgem tower again, still having a little fight left in them.

At first Maiya thought this one might actually be a little promising. Then he let out and abra and Maiya's smile dropped. Seriously did no one around this stupid tower have at least remotely decent pokemon? She would have thought there'd be one or two by now. Abra's evolutions were worthwhile sure but abra itself? Please.

"Meryl, have a little fun." the Vulpix didn't hesitate to step up to the plate you could say, and without hesitation initiate with a quick attack. Shortly after she made contact the enemy abra retaliated with an ice punch.... that Meryl honestly barely even cared about. Rather she just retaliated with a fire spin around the abra who now seemed to be turning in circles. Once the heat was more than it could handle it teleported out, just in time for Meryl to attack it will another quick attack. The ice punch it returned with was little more than an annoyance at this point and the abra was met with an ember, which it did not happen to retaliate to.

The trainer moved to return the pokemon, now releasing a bagon. Not a bad choice but Maiya wasn't all that interested in making it a drawn out battle.

It was time to make use of that swablu she had just caught, and with a flick of her wrist he was out and ready for battle, though staring perhaps a little too intently at the enemy bagon. The enemy responded with a leer that made the little swablu shake for a moment before making it's best attempt at astonishing the opponent, which much to its luck happened to make the enemy bagon flinch! Without hesitation the swablu scurried (that's right, why fly when you can scurry?) across the ground to start pecking at the bagon that had so rudely attacked him while he was trying to determined what was even going on in the first place!

At this point Maiya was kind of wondering about this swablu and she made the executive decision to return it to its pokeball for now. Instead she'd have her ralts finish this one off.

Little Sylvia was more than happy to oblige, trilling with joy as she entered the battle field. The enemy went right for a leer and she happily returned the favor, with confusion. Sadly it did not confuse the opponent though the bagon didn't seem too happy about it and the bite it went in for hit Sylvia hard.

Luckily for the little Ralts the Swablu had done enough the Psychock of her's that followed would be enough to have the Bagon down almost completely for the count, the leer it tried to use meant little when face with another Psyshock. Sylvia emerged the victor.

"Alright maybe we should call it quits-" before Maiay could finish her suggest the little ralts started shaking her head, she was notably tired but seemed to want to keep going. With the potion she'd already found, the ones she had in stock, perhaps should could manage a couple more rounds with something.
