Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

They got to the next floor and Alastair found a box in a corner before any of the doors. He opened it, finding a stone with a strange leaf imprint. He took it and put it in his bag. Too bad he didn't need one at the moment... maybe someone else would? Or maybe it would be helpful one day. Who knew. He stood up and wiped his pants off, hearing the raging storm outside get worse. Monday gave a sort of gargling noise. Alastair gave the fish a smile and they kept moving into the next hall. How many floors were there? Three? Four? Probably five if he wanted to count the outside area and the captain's deck. Whatever they called the place where the captain spent their time. But hey... there were interesting things to be seen here.
He went to the first door and pushed it, then tested the handle. No? Well, he knew how to solve this problem...

Angry wasn't really the term the man was. Just agitated. Alastair was sitting on a box in silence while he got the lecture of his life from his former sea captain saying how busting down doors in a crashed ship was disrespectful of those that could have died there. Sure, Alastair agree to that... but...
"So what do you have to say for yourself, young man?" the captain barked at him.
"... So... can I leave now?"
The captain sighed. "No."
"Damn it." Alastair rested his chin on his hands and Monday stared at the old man, giving some growls every now and then. "... can we battle at least? I'm bored."
The captain narrowed his eyes. "Fine. I have a feeling anything I saw is going to go in one ear and out the other. Tell you what, if you can repeat everything I said then I'll let you lea-"
"It is disrespectful to go breaking down doors inside a ship. You have no idea what the souls lost here had gone through and even though we are not over the ocean, this desert is their home. The souls lost during whatever battle took this ship out deserve the same amount of respect as a graveyard and you should tread carefully and apologize if you break something. As an old sea captain, I know this better than you but you must keep such things in mind because-"
"Alright! Alright! Parrot." The old man crossed his arms. Alastair gave him a smile. Ha! Plenty of teachers had tried to pull the 'repeat what I just said' card on Alastair, and he never did the 'repeat what I just said' back. Just to show that, yes, he was in fact paying attention for once.
The man tossed out a pokeball, snapping Alastair out of his thoughts. He stood up and brushed his pants off, nodding at Monday. The fish starred off by charging at the Wingul, biting the bird hard. The bird screeched and backed away from Monday. The Wingul raised off of the ground and darted at Monday, hitting him with one of his wings. The bird faltered in flight, the tough scales having ripped past the feathers and skin, causing some damage. Monday darted towards the bird, biting the hurt wing harder than before, the Wingul shaking the pain off once Monday had retreated back.
"Use Supersonic!"
"Avoid it!" Alastair ordered, the fish dodging the Supersonic by just the tip of his tail. He then charged, biting the bird hard again. The Wingul took the damage hard, stumbling back. The Wingul spit out water at Monday, the water gathering into the already formed water bubble around the fish, but the pressure of the hit did some damage. Monday charged and tackled again, knocking the bird out.
The captain recalled the Pokemon and sent out his second Pokemon. The Squirtle. Monday snapped his jaws and the Squirtle got ready. Alastair wanted to recall Monday, but the fish gave him a look that said 'I can keep going... also just try to touch that pokeball. I dare you.'
"Leer then Bite!" Alastair ordered, the fish giving the Squirtle a terrifying glare before darting forward, biting the tough shell. The shell withstood the bite, but the pressure from it hurt the Squirtle. Alastair could see it on the Pokemon's face.
The two Pokemon got to it after that. It was like there was something to prove for both of them. Alastair and the captain tried to help order the Pokemon, but the two almost ignored them, showing this was somewhat personal. Alastair couldn't see why. Was it that Monday felt like he had to prove he could survive another battle with a stronger Pokemon? Did the Squirtle want to prove it was better? Who knew...
The Squirtle tackled Monday, the Pokemon flinching at the feeling of the tough skin. Monday charged with another Bite, latching onto the arm of the turtle, shaking it violently. The Squirtle used Water Gun, and Monday responded with another Leer and then another Bite, slowly weakening the Pokemon's ability to defend itself. The Squirtle charged for another tackle, Monday swimming out of the way before biting the Squirtle on the back of the shell, a crunch following shortly. The Squirtle cried out and swung, pinning Monday against a wall. The fish shook his head and charged again.
Eventually, the Squirtle collapsed and Monday looked... like he was about to go belly up. Alastair got out the fish's pokeball and recalled him quickly, hoping some rest would help Monday. The captain gave a nod and left shortly after. Alastair made sure his backpack was more comfortable on his shoulder and then released Leap out into the world, the Beldum following him at a distance of three feet. Exactly.
Monday would be fine... right? Yeah, he would be. He just needed a nap...

The next room was unlocked. In fact, it didn't even have a door. Alastair passed into the room, looking around. Leap floated up to the top of a tall shelf and began to make a noise, pushing a box off of the top. Alastair darted for it, catching it before it hit the ground. He opened it. Oh! A Hyper Potion! he checked the expiration date. It was still good! Thank goodness the makers of these items store them properly. He smiled at Leap. "Good job!" Alastair said happily, the Beldum making another noise, moving about two and a half feet away from Alastair. It was an improvement over the three feet at least.
Alastair put the Hyper Potion in his bag and kept moving. The storm outside seemed to be getting worse. The sound of sand hitting the ship was louder than before. He hoped he blew over soon.

After Alastair had opened the room with a traditional kick, the battle had begun. The Slowpoke had begun with a Curse, and Leap had used Take Down. The Beldum was showing the pain from the moves, but the Slowpoke seemed weaker than the little Beldum. That didn't make the fight any easier for an already tired Beldum.
The Slowpoke tackled Leap, making the Beldum float back a bit, giving a sort of robotic sounding call. Then Leap charged with another Take Down, hitting the Slowpoke harder than before. The pink Pokemon stumbled and used Yawn, Leap missing the move because... a little Beldum can only do so much with controlling momentum and the poor guy had ended up under a box. The Slowpoke took the moment and tackled the box, Leap's cry following.
Leap didn't give up, and took a guess at where the Slowpoke was, charging with all his might. Surprisingly, he had hit the Slowpoke and fainted it. Alastair lifted the box off the Pokemon and Leap floated back up, now only two feet away from him. Well, that was an improvement. "Try not to get caught under a box again, alright?" he asked. Leap stared at him. Good conversation.

The old man had been serious about the fight, and the first thing up was a puppy. Needless to say, the whole fight between Leap and the dog was a Take Down Tackle show. The Beldum, despite the damage his only move did to him, was able to land some solid hits, but the dog was able to land a few too, weakening the Beldum considerably. Yet due to Leap's slightly higher level, he was able to pull through and overpower the dog, winning the match. Alastair recalled the Beldum right away, feeling a little... disappointed? It seemed weird for a battle to consist of only two moves being used. Each Pokemon using only one, but then again, that was how things worked...
He would have to heal his team soon... they couldn't keep up with all this fighting.
The man tossed out a turtle next and Alastair sent out Potato, the puppy looking well rested after his nap, but still beat up from the past few battles.
"Howl then Bite!" Alastair said, the puppy letting out a powerful howl before charging at the Shuckle. Potato clamped down with his jaws on the yellow scaled neck and then darted away.
"Encore!" The man ordered. The Shuckle began to clap. Potato wagged his tail. He did good? He must have! He was getting praise! With a happy bark, he charged forward again and bit the Shuckle. The turtle then retreated inside its shell for a Withdraw. It only retreated half way out the next time, taking on another one of Potato's harsh bites.
The turtle backed away and then used constrict, squeezing the dog tight with elongated limbs... flippers... Alastair didn't know what to call them. Once Potato was free, he bit again, attacking a sensitive area on the shell this time. The Shuckle moved away, looking weak and tired. So was Potato. The Shuckle used Constrict again, and Potato was freed, then he used Tackle. The encore had wore off, and just in time. The Shuckle tried to use another Constrict, but Potato jumped out of the way, and tackled the Shuckle hard once more, the Pokemon fainting. Alastair recalled the golden puppy for another break.
The man spoke to Alastair for a bit after, and went on his way. Alastair kept moving further into the belly of the ship. He had found another set of stairs, and he could hear the storm raging on above. He went half way up and leaned forward, listening to the storm bang against the door. So that must lead up to the deck... He took a step back-
The old stairs gave out on him, the years of rust making his leg go clean through. He gritted his teeth when he felt something hot and warm trail down his leg. That... was not good. Using his elbows, Alastair pulled his leg out of the broken hole, the sharp edges of the break having torn clean through his pants. Alright it wasn't that bad... it could have been worse. Alastair limped off the stairs and down the hall, finding the cleanest looking place he could. He pulled his pants leg up and looked at the gashes. Rummaging through the backpack, he found his first aid kit and got to work... at least he didn't hurt his back or break a rib. This was manageable. He updated on his vaccines at least...
He considered himself lucky. Now it was just a matter of getting out without getting hurt.
