Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

Mission successful! He managed to both find the person who gave him that literal headache, so he was done here... right? Somehow he didn't feel at all that it was a victory, mainly because of the look on her face when he actually told her about the bike. I mean sure he didn't expect everyone to congratulate him, or win a prize for getting them back, but still. It felt...empty. "Uhhh, your welcome?" He honestly didn't know how to actually reply to her, as she got up from the table, leaving her plates and started to make her way towards the bar. [break][break] "Oh man up Reggie, you got what you came for. Sure you have to spend your entire rainy-day savings on it, but that's besides the point." That was the guy trying to cheer himself and to get back on his feet. So in the meantime he just sat there, absent-mindlessly starring at the keys in his hand. At this point most of his food as gotten cold, mainly because he was distracted by the situation at hand. "Well, might as well pay for this..." The mechanic muttered before getting up, and shuffling his feet towards the bar. [break][break] The bartender seemed a little pre-occupied with the girl, but casually slid the bill across the table towards Reginald, who could only took out all of his cash and placed it on the counter. The brunette turned his head once again, glancing at the blonde and vaguely remembered that she didn't seem to have a method of transportation. "Hey...you need a ride?" He found himself blurting out those words, which surprised himself. Well the mechanic was a little too nice for his own good sometimes, and he thought he might as well give her a lift to her next destination. Especially given the distance between here and the next town.

"Can you get any fucking stupider?" she just blurted it out as she turned to face him again. Not only was he proving to be even more stupid (was that even really possible at this point? She was starting to wonder.) but now he was just being a nuisance. She'd clearly walked away, ended the conversation, and he was here trying to give her a ride? [break][break] "If I wanted a ride I wouldn't have given you your keys back." harsh as shit but she didn't have a reason to curb her tongue with him at this point. He had nothing to offer her at this point, there was no point in playing nice with him now. Not to mention he was such an idiot, she had only so much tolerance for idiots. [break][break] She turned away from him, back to questioning the bartender and showing him a picture or two, seeing if he'd seen anything like it in the area which sadly it seemed he hadn't. She wish he had. Would have made this way easier. She stood there between the two rubbing the back of her head trying to decide what to do next.

Well that was just rude. I mean sure, he was rather stupid, and on this particular occasion, like really stupid, but didn't need to just straight up say it like that. So his reaction towards her comment was a small huff, followed by a small sigh, hell even the bartender even gave a quizzical look to the man as he took the cash. "Well hey just thought I would offer, especially since there is no buses around these parts." [break][break] While he wasn't really wrong, and judging by the time of day, it wouldn't be long before it got dark out and this time of the year, it would get really cold. At this rate he would have to start getting on the move back to the tower to get his bike before then. The guy didn't have any plans to freeze his butt off out in the desert, nope. Especially because any of his warmer stuff was in his bike to begin with. [break][break] When she started to show the pictures to the bartender, the fella only shook his head and apologizing, Reginald was a little curious on what it was. "So you looking for something? I might be able to at least help, I know a nice bit around these parts due to my job." The mechanic was about half-sure that she was gonna call him an idiot, but he could at least give her some help.
[attr="class","reggyooc"]Maiya Thompson | at least an idiot with good intentions?
Sweet Arceus this guy did not know when to quite did he? Was he really so stupid he couldn't take a clear hint to fuck off and get out of her way? Apparently she needed to spell it out as she wrote it for him. [break][break] Maiya turned to face him, propping herself on the counter and staring at him, no glaring at him, drilling through his damnable skull while she decided whether or not she should even bother replying to this dense mother fucker. She didn't have time to spend on idiots and trying to hold their hands and pat their asses and tell them they were doing a good job figuring out their underwear didn't go on their head it went on their ass. [break][break] The only reason Maiya didn't tell the guy to go fuck the bartender or something was because the look of him. Not the attractive part, something about him seemed a little... defeated? She couldn't quite place it. She couldn't shake the vibe she was getting that he wasn't doing this just because he was stupid. It wasn't often something managed to melt the ice she kept her heart closed in but this guy managed it. [break][break] Not quite glaring now but still frowning at him with furrowed brows to match she shoved the pictures at him. "Its a sculpture, made by someone here in Orre. Trying to find it." if the guy actually recognized it she would be surprised, but for all she knew he might. Whatever at this point. Maybe it'd be enough to get him off her back.

With the pictures being shoved at him, he scratched his chin as he examined the sculpture. It seemed rather expensive and a little too nice to be around these parts. "I'm gonna assume you didn't get any info in Realgam..." It was a smart assumption because she was just there, that he was sure as that is where she managed to mug him. Well at least maybe the people were holding some information back? He was sure he could ask some of the higher-ups, and see if there was any word. besides they did owe him one for the time were half of their machines were down. [break][break] "Well I never saw it, but Pyrite and Phenec might be some good choices. They are known to have a couple things along those lines." The mechanic didn't have an eye for art or anything, but it have have that kind of aesthetic to it. There were also a couple collectors of those parts if he remembered correctly, so chances there might be at least one person around those parts that knows about it. With a small sigh, he returned the pictures to the blonde. [break][break] "Well I can try to see if I can pull some favors to see if anyone at the tower got any info, that or once again Pyrite and Phenec might be good choices. They is some difference between here and there, although if you wouldn't mind you can come with me to the tower once more, to see what they got."The offer still stood, but the only thing was that it was getting late. "Sadly it is getting a little late, so it may be a last chance to get a ride before the cold and night settles in."
Fine, she could give him some points for at least having a direction to point her in which was better than most the people she had asked about it. Wasn't sure how much help it would end up being at the end of the day but a start was better than nothing at all which is what she had half the time. [break][break] "Not bad, better than what I had." she grumbled before taking the pictures back, he had a point about the time though. She knew that much well enough, the desert wasn't a place you wanted to be out in at night despite what a lot of people thought. Especially in the colder months, it was the sort of place that had the chance of freezing you just as much as it did boiling you alive during the day. She didn't like the fact that he had a point on this. She turned her back to him and rubbed the back of her neck while she thought the situation over. [break][break] She could always just stay here. Then again it was the middle of nowhere and she was pretty sure she did not see an inn, or much of one on the way into town. Arceus he had to be the one that was persisting so much didn't he? That was her luck. Couldn't have been anyone else in the damn bar? She should have known better when he responded like a dead fish to her mugging him in the tower. No way was this a good idea. It was going to be more trouble than it was worth she could feel it. He was going to be a bitch to get rid of if she let this happen. [break][break] Her choices were limited and she didn't have the time to find more. [break][break] "Fine, if you can get me a ride then I'll give you whatever pay your wanting for it, try and pull a fast one on me though and I break your face." She told him as she turned back to face him, crossing her arms over her chest in mild annoyance both at herself and the situation. She'd deal with it only as long as she needed to, that's all this was going to be.

"See, I do have my moments."Mostly making a comment on how she bluntly called him stupid, and continued on that fact. Granted, it was mostly true, but he wasnted to at least prove to her that he wasn't stupid 24/7, just maybe 23/7. It wasn't much, but still better then nothing. Although we was a little glad that he could be of some help, in helping her find whatever that statue or sculpture was about. [break][break] The mechanic stood there, as she tried to think it over, well that is what he assumed judging by the way she was standing, as those were some hints that he was thinking, so it should be the same. The brunette crossed his arms as he waited, and took a small peek outside from the window, and it was already starting to get a little dark out, which meant the chill was bound to come. Fuck, he wish he took his jacket out of the bike before he went into the tower and into this whole mess, and let out a small sigh on that thought. [break][break] His head immediately snapped back to the girl, as she decided to take up his offer, although she did have some rather compelling rules, mainly with the part that involved breaking his face. That was a rather less then preferred option by far. "O-oh, don't you worry. No funny business I swear." Now the only problem was to figure out by what she deemed as funny business. There was a small part of him that was happy that she was able to tag along, no idea why though. Perhaps it was for helping out a woman like herself? Maybe a little more? [break][break] "Alright, so let's get a move on then, before it starts getting freezing." They were in a hurry if that was the case, because he had no intention in freezing his buns out there, as he made his way towards the door.
She had to bite her tongue at the 'i have my moments' comment, not to mention keeping from rolling her eyes at it. She wasn't even sure why it annoyed her at this point, honestly it was mostly just the fact that he in general annoyed her right now. She was end up stuck with a guy that was like 97% idiot and she was surprised he had enough brains to have his bike. Then again he might not even drive the thing and just try to use it to pick up girls. She wouldn't have been surprised and was having to put great effort into keeping her composure and not just ask the bartender if she could pass out under the bar till the sun came up instead. [break][break] At least he agreed no funny business, though with the way he said it she had a feeling the idiot was too simple minded to figure out some kind of funny business to pull, if anything he'd probably end up underpricing shit and giving her an easy way to come out ahead. She couldn't decide if this was just easy luck or something that was probably going to bite her in the ass down the road. At least he wasn't likely to be affiliated with Sterling. "Good." she confirmed and still gave him a hard stare, meaning to drive home her point. [break][break] "Make it quick, I haven't got time to deal with freezing my tits off out here." Maiya wasn't interested in wasting more time at this point and made it straight for the door, if he was going to be of any use he had better do it fast before she had reason to ditch his ass and take shelter till sun-up.

That stare that she gave when she confirmed that there wasn't gonna be any funny business, it kinda scared him, to the point where if he was gonna do so, he may wanna at least be careful about it. She seemed to the sort that kinda was a little adamant on that subject. Wasn't gonna stop him from trying to in the future, but right now he was a little scared of that look. [break][break] "Don;t worry I have no intention of freezing my butt out their either, got al my warm clothes at the bike either way." Well sadly he wasn't wrong, since most of his affairs were in that bike's sidecar. Granted it should have been just called a trunk, but it was an sidecar that he found on the side of the road, and re-purposed to his trunk, as he kinda couldn't carry around all of his things in an old suitcase and drag that around. It could have been stolen, or to phrase it, it was stolen which prompted him on getting the thing to begin with. [break][break] Moving on from that, he let out a small sigh before walking down the steps to the diner, "Alright, well let's go. If it does get too cold, I guess I can send out one of my poke to keep us warm or something." One of the benefits of having a couple fire types, especially one with a tail of fire. That and they would be the more practical ways of getting warm, as the other ways that could be suggested involved bundling up together, and that wouldn't work in the middle of the dessert. He started to jog in place, to make sure that his leg's were limbered up, "Alright let's go miss Mai."
"Less talking, more doing." her tone was stern, kind of like a drill Sargent commanding the troops. She didn't have time for this kind of needless chatter from someone that wasn't about to help her out in any other manner after this. At least none that she could see at the moment. She preferred to get this done and over with as quick as possible. [break][break] "And keep your pokemon in their balls, if we're gonna freeze better to not take them with us." Even fire types could fall to the cold of a desert, there was a reason why it was so quiet after sundown. Sure there were a few things that liked the cold but nowhere near as much as what liked the warmth of day. The kind of cold a desert had in night was something to be wary of, nothing grew in such a place to keep the land warm after the sun went down after all. It was the only real source of heat. "Get your ass out the door." [break][break] Maiya didn't bother with 'limbering up' as she was rather active anyway, almost always walking everywhere and often times just running. She only walked when she wanted to enjoy the scenery or the silence, otherwise she simply ran to her destination. Easier than bothering with rides and kept her fit too, most thought her small body was weak and fragile, so very petite like most her size might have been but anyone that actually felt her punch would learn the hard way that she was incredibly athletic and nothing to balk at. [break][break] Maiya left and broke into a run, he'd either keep up with her or he could freeze on his own.
