Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

She was busy trying to find more items when someone started calling out to her. Just what she wanted, more trainers when she was looting shit. [break][break] Fine, whatever she'd deal with it. And then he dropped a makuhita on the field and she just was not interested in dealing with this shit. From the looks of things it would be an easy fight for her now kirlia even if she hadn't intended to spend more time with her out right now. It was better to make quick. [break][break] The Kirlia started off with her favorite, Psychock, to slam down on the pokemon.It attempted to get in close to use arm thrust but her Kirlia simply teleported away before attempting to use double team- only it found a new move had taken its place, magical leaf. The leaves soared through the air going right for the makuhita, a solid hit. It tried to close the gap again but she simply continued to teleport away and used confusion, watching as the pokemon became a little woozy. It left it open for another psyshock that was gladly delivered. Once it tried for a sand attack it completely missed her last confusion was more than enough to finish it off. [break][break] The next was a simple meowth and she was far less worried about it, choosing to return her kirlia and let out her vulpix for this instance. The pokemon started off with growl and her vulpix responded with a flury of fire from its fire spin attack, encassing the cat in fire that it certainly did not take a liking to. It screeched and though the hit took it did little good to stop Meryl's confuse ray, which at such short distance and head on had no chance of missing. When the cat tried to scratch it simply scratched itself and she followed that with ember. It was a rinse and repeat cycle until the cat fainted and she called her vulpix back to her side. She was pleased with the turn out. [break][break] She would now return to trying to find items and loot like she had been. That's what she was really here for. Maiya was rummaging through things again when she felt something nudge her hip. Turning she found a Girafarig nuzzling one of her pockets, likely looking for food. She was genuinely surprised by this. It was not a pokemon she had anticipated seeing in the area. She was already pulling out one of her food pouches to give the pokemon a treat since it was being friendly when she realized something a little off about it. They weren't supposed to have blue noses. [break][break] This region was rigged, that was the only way she could have found another weirdly colored pokemon in this place. Still staring at its nose maiya poured out a few bits of food on her hand and held it out for the pokemon who sniffed at it for a moment. Making what seemed to be a pleased sound it ate the food from her hand as she reached out to pet it. The pokemon seemed pleased and continued to eat. She poured out a few more bits for it. "You're a long way from home, aren't you?" it huffed at her and she smiled. [break][break] Maiya would have continued on her way, left the pokemon be except after eating its meal it moved to stand next to her and slowly lowered itself down to the ground to sit. It was when the pokemon laid its neck against her, resting its head on her hip that she found herself unable to move along. It seemed tired and she wasn't wrong. It took a little while but before too long her vulpix made her way over and curled up next to the blue nosed Girafarig and both fell asleep there. With a sigh Maiya stayed there awhile, letting them nap before she produced a pokeball from her bag. She laid it against the pokemons neck before hitting the button, perhaps it would get an even better nap in a pokeball sitting on her hip. She went back to hunting through the place for well, anything she could find and was happily humming to herself about it until she felt a tap on her shoulder. Another trainer and honestly her shoulders drooped. She just wasn't feeling more battles today but it seemed like everyone and thier grand pappy wanted to battle her. [break][break] She expressed as such and much to her delight the guy totally understood and actually just initiated battle with her first in an attempt to nip a potential mugging in the bud. She gave the comment a chuckle and explained she was simply looking around, no interest in mugging anyone today and the two of them parted ways without further commentary. Maiya actually dropped the rock in her hand when she saw the pokemon shifting through the rubble nearby. She had the best luck possible today, it honestly could not have gotten any better than this and she was damn near bursting with excitement. A little known fact about her way, as one hailing from Hoenn, she once dreamed of starting a pokemon journey the legitimate way, first pokemon from a professor and everything and she had always wanted the torchic line from her home region. Part of her wondered how one ended up here and other part couldn't have cared less because she now had the chance to get one. [break][break] The wild pokemon saw her and instantly its shoulders drooped and it squawked at the sky in an almost fed up with everything kind of way. Great, just great, another trainer he'd have to deal with. Just his luck. Maiya was too excited to care about its reaction and sent her vulpix to do the fun. "We're taking that one home too Meryl" He Vulpix didn't need any further commands. [break][break] The fox pokemon zoomed in with her quick attack while the other pokemon seemed to still be complaining over whatever, knocking him off balance. When the chicken stood he wiggled his head at them almost like he was trying to give them sass before using ember on the vulpix, eyes growing wide when the fox almost seemed happy about it once it shook off the flame. Next thing he knew the fire spin that emerged around him not only stung a bit, even as a fire type himself, but it also seemed a little bit stronger than the normal fire spin.. oh well he didn't have time to worry about that. Being the fire type that he was too he had no qualms about running through the fire wall to try and drop a double kick on the fox. She responded by using her quick attack to dodge the first kick, and when the second landed she responded with a close range confuse ray. It made the bird notably woozy and confused and she took advantage of its wobbling and tripping over its own feet when it tried to use double kick again, this time landing an ember of her own. The pokemon responded by scratching around wildly which, while it hit the vulpix also ended in it poking itself in the beak. One last quick attack from the vulpix seemed enough to knock it down and leave it weak enough. "Fall back." [break][break] As the Vulpix returned to her side Maiya retrieved a pokeball and threw it out to the pokemon, grinning from ear to ear. She was gonna get a Blaziken! Maiya literally jumped in excitement when the ball clicked into place. She could not have been more excited to capture a pokemon. Even the oddly colored ones didn't compare to this for her, she'd wanted the pokemon for so long and she couldn't wait for a chance to see him in action. [break][break] That would have to wait though, the pokemon was certainly tired and she wasn't really here for pokemon, she just happened to be lucking out a lot. Back to rummaging through the debris in hopes of finding something of use. As her luck would continue to have it she came across another stone and a berry a wild pokemon must have left behind.
