Next thing Maiya knew someone was yelling at her from across the wreckage. Apparently she'd stepped on someone els's hunting ground and they were now challenging her for the right to the place, all its loot and even the loot she had on her since apparently it 'belonged to him because this was his' which was utter bull shit. When he pulled out only two pokeballs she asked him if that was it and almost laughed when he said yes. He had no chance here.

Electabuzz wasn't too much trouble and honestly, Maiya just didn't want to have to deal with any of it so she didn't hesitate to swap out her vulpix for her kirlia. The pokemon was worn out but just as gungho as always, and maiya had plenty of potions on her. This was going to be an easy fight.

The electabuzz tried to lead off with a quick attack and her kirlia responded by teleporting out of range and responding with a psyshock. It responded with a leer but that only gave her kirlia an opportunity to use her confusion attack, making the pokemon a little woozy but still standing. It tried to use quick attack on her again but before it could reach her she let out another psyshock and while it was bracing for the impact she released a second one, bringing it to its knees and down for the count.

While her opponent released his next pokemon Maiya rushed in to spray a potion over her kirlia. Even though the pokemon was notably refreshed Maiya swapped her out for her Vulpix, a fire type had a great advantage over a grass type like tangela.

The tangela tried to lead off with a vine whip, which the Vulpix braced for but didn't find too alarming. Meryl led off with a fire spin attack which surrounded and engulfed the poor vine covered pokemon. It was obviously having a tough time with the situation seeing as the fire simply burned away at it if it tried to move to close to it. It tried to use its sleep powder attack but the vulpix was too far away for it to effect her, retaliating with a confuse ray and soon the poor vine plant was wobbling on its feet and tripping on its own vines which greatly frustrated its trainer. All it took was a couple of embers, the wall of fire and the pokemon being confused for her vulpix to win the match.

Now that Maiya had 'won back the rights' to the place she returned to her scavaging, though she was starting to get a feeling her luck might be running out.
