Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

He was starting to get rather annoyed with this place already. When he'd been told about it the tales had held far more excitement than he was used to back home. Sure it was a little rougher around the edges than Sinnoh but it hadn't impressed him yet. So far it had been a waste of the boat fair and even a waste of the money that got him into cipher to begin with. [Break][break] And that was why Endric now stood on the stones of gateon port staring out at the ocean with a rather stern glare. It wasn't quite anger on his face, perhaps more like determination. [Break][break] Sitting around staring at the ocean would not help the present situation. Endric began to move along, eyes down on the path in front of him, mind turning over idea after idea. That was when some in front of him dropped an item. Without hesitation he picked it up. [Break][break] "Hey! Looks like you dropped something!" in an instant his face and demeanor went from annoyed and determined to kind and friendly, even his tone sounded calm and welcoming. As always, he played this game well. [break] @open annoyed endric is annoyed
There had been rumors floating around the region of Orre, rumors of Cipher once again coming out of the ashes. Cipher that was reforming, Cipher that was recruiting help from the other teams across the different regions. Ian himself was one of the few who had been chosen from a different organization, Rocket to be exact. He wasn't really all that in need of a high spot, in fact he was really only in the gig for excitement. For the chance to kill and do whatever he wanted because he was coded as a bad guy since birth so hey, why not be exactly what they wanted him to be.
So as such, Ian made his usefulness in the information that he received and traded between the others in the system. That way he had pretty much information on all of the grunts of Cipher and those that he thought were going somewhere. One name in particular had gotten a lot of hits, a man by the name of Endric Von Ruhan. This guy was someone to keep an eye on, and Ian liked the idea of possibly knowing more about the guy. While he wasn't one to really officially join any one side, he could see that this guy was one that might require someone on the outside for future purposes. Of all the current grunts the guy had the most chance of going far, and that meant work for him.
So Ian had done his research and gotten various tabs to finally track the other grunt down to the Port. It was surprising how hard it actually was to keep tabs on the guy. Ian was about as business oriented as the man was, knowing just who he wanted to be in good graces with, and this guy was one of those few that he wanted in his tabs as soon as possible. It had been almost too easy really, picking up a cheap wallet that he would use for this particular set up and catch, he needed to get the other alone so he could talk to him. To talk about business but that would require a reason to meet him first, and that was all there was to it.
So all Ian had to do was just so happen to pass the other rather easy to recognize grunt and drop the wallet he had stuffed with fake pictures and ids he had made just for this reason. So when he heard the voice he had to quell the pounding in his chest, that the little scheme had been a success as the man quickly put on his own version of what the other did. "Hmm? Oh! Thank you so much! I don't know what I would have done without my wallet!" he said quickly moving a hand behind his head to rub there. "That has my food money in it, it really takes a nice person to do such a kindness!" Ian mused on habit with a kind and easy voice.
"Names Isaac, please.. can I buy you lunch at least for doing me this kindness?" he asked softly moving his hand to take back the wallet from the other grunt.

Endric wasn't stupid. The moment he saw the man's face he knew he was a part of the cipher recruites that were gathering in Orre, he'd taken great care to even know the borrowed faces. The man could play a game well but he wouldn't be getting past Endric any time soon. He was far to thorough and played it far too well for such things. However, he wasn't stupid enough to not play along when the chance arose. [Break][break] "Not a problem sir." he gave what most would think was a genuine smile. It was so nearly perfect most fell for it in a heartbeat. This one might see through it but it was only a small piece. Endric would make certain whayever he did see was precisely what he wanted it to be. [Break][break] He was already waving off the offer. He played games on his terms, not the terms of others. "Don't worry about it, I wouldn't want to impose anyway." still smiling and putting on the air of someone who simply believed in doing good deeds and moving on Endric attempted to do just that. Moving to walk past him and continue on his way through the port as though this were an every day thing. Endric even waved as he walked by. [break] @ian here go owo
Ian wasn't exactly sure what he was to expect, but that wasn't exactly it. This guy was a lot better than he thought, and it seemed that he knew his face just as Ian knew Endric's. Oh this was going to make things a bit more difficult but if that was the case then maybe they could simply learn to play games for each other rather than against one another. A small smile formed his face but he tried not to show too much, considering both were now onto each other. Even so, Ian still wanted to speak to the man and if that meant just coming right out with it.. he would be willing to do so. Not many people caught the raven's attention, but this one sure did as did one other man with bright blonde hair that had avoided him once or twice.
The rocket recruit didn't move at first as the other moved to go past him and only then did he speak, but low enough so only the other could hear as the crowds passed around them. "You know my face, and I know yours.. I'd like to talk to you in a less open area." he said softly. "It was not my intention to cause any trouble... " he said before turning in the direction the other was headed. Red orbs caught sight of the krabby place not far from where they were and gave another smile, or perhaps a half smirk was a better term for the facial feature. "Perhaps you'll reconsider my offer? I'll still buy of course..."
"But.. I won't lie, considering you seem to know it just as well as I do." that smile returned again, the one they both put on well. If anything he wanted everyone else to think it was a simple interlude between friends rather than a exchange for a group that was plotting to take over one day. Now, to see if the other would nibble even a little bit, or if he would have to try something else. Oh it was quite exciting wondering what the other would do, and that's what made this all that more exciting.
If the was one thing the man loved, it was something exciting that he couldn't predict.

If Endric were in a room all alone where no one else could see him and he were simply imagining this he would have busted up laughing so hard he might have actually ended up on the floor doubled over with laughter. What did this guy really think he was playing at? It felt like he was trying to pull some stupid movie scene bullshit on him and Endric just could not possibly take that seriously. Not in the slightest. Arceus it was baffling. [break][break] He turned on his heel to face the other man. "I'm afraid I already ate." The smile on his face went from genuine to a small hint of smugness, or perhaps amusement. "Perhaps if another time, should that come to pass." If it did it would be when he chose. Endric was not often fond of being someone that another would seek out, that meant it was for their own agenda even if it benefited his own. He preferred the route that was purely dictated by himself. [break][break] "See yah around" and with that he turned again and continued to walk away. [break] Damian Arc gotta try harder damian
The raven hardly thought that this would be easy, ever since meeting the green haired grunt. The guy was a bit crazy, but Ian liked crazy as much as he liked the way the other thought. This guy was a hard one and one he would have to push at until he recognized him, he wouldn't like someone that easily backed off. Ian chuckled some when the other wouldn't, and just listened to the other speak and ignore his offer. Well, that was something he did expect considering the first didn't go through.
With another slight chuckle he let him move past him but he spoke at a normal tone now, doing what he could to capture his attention. "I assure you it would be worth your time. You want to become the boss don't you, Endric Von Ruhan? That kinda thing isn't really my style, but for such a high task under your belt, I'm sure you know you need help and allies everywhere. A boss won't stay in power if they don't at least.. pretend to care about their underlings yes? I'm sure you're smart enough to know that. Especially with the way you greeted me, you have it down to a T." he mused switching his weight to another leg.
"I'm a information broker, I don't do front lines things. I like undercover work, and well.. dealing with problems and making sure they don't talk again. The main light game, isn't my scene.. but it's yours.. I want to consider a.. partnership of sorts with you. I know you don't accept things right off, and that's fine.. but to prove it to you that I can do this kind of job. I can give you information.. information on anyone you want, inside or outside of cipher. If from the outside, I will need time, but I'm sure you'd like the answers I find for you."
Ian mused spinning a knife in his left hand boredly, non threateningly, but eh.. he could only imagine what the other would think.

Endric shrugged. [break][break] If this was supposed to be an enticing show it was barely even worth recognizing. This guy was the most unimpressing thing he had seen thus far in the Orre region. Did he really think he would win someone like him over with so little to offer? It was laughable. So far this entire exchange was laughable. [break][break] "I don't know what you're talking about. I have yet to decide what I want from this region." He wasn't about to make waves that big yet, not until he had a little bit more power behind him. "And besides even if I didn't I wouldn't trust the idiot who says it out in the open for all to hear." This was laughable. So laughable. [break][break] Endric turned to walk away from the man again, shaking his head, "If I was interested in what you had to offer I would have come to you myself." it was true, if he had a need for such things right now he would be going to him. But not before spending a very long time looking closely into him to make sure that he was something he could use. Not to mention taking measure to deal with disposal in case he became nothing more than a loose end. Endric didn't like leaving things around to mess with future plans. It wasn't worth it. "If I ever deem it worth my time to come to you I will. Until then you may want to work on your timing a bit. You're off." [break][break] Per usual, he was far better and had the patience to do things properly. This guy was just making him laugh inside. [break] Damian Arc here go owo
Ian was getting a little frustrated but at the same time, he wondered just what this grunt really wanted. There was definitely something else going on here.. something that he didn't quite see. That made it interesting all the same even if he wasn't exactly getting what he wanted. "If that's so perhaps I was mistaken, but I'm hardly ever wrong. Perhaps I was a bit too early to jump the gun. " regardless of the final production of the exchange Ian wouldn't bother too much with it. He was sure about this one, sure that something would come from him even if it took some time, and with that it also meant that he would have to be careful to cover himself as well. This one wasn't one to mess with and expect to get away with it, the name he held was enough of a testament to that. Part of Ian wondered what a socialite like him was doing this far out, and not under his families thumb, or perhaps that was the reason all this time.
"I see, I won't push you about it then. My offer however stands, I'm sure with your knowledge and intellect you won't have any problem tracking me down if the need came to it." he mused with a sly grin. Perhaps this grunt was more like him than he realized, they both liked to play the pieces, and hardly liked being used in someone else's plays. Even if nothing came from this particular meeting the pawn had been set, as he had put the thought into the others mind, and that would be enough for now. Enough to let him know that there was still someone here... someone that wanted to be a part of something bigger.. and he was willing to be a part of it.
"It seems I might be this time, but I assure you I never make the same mistake twice. "he said bowing somewhat but his grin never swayed. "Do keep me in mind though, I try and keep a low profile. Like I said you should have no problem finding me then yes. Regardless of what your final goal may or may not be, I'll be... keeping slight tabs." he said softly. A smile on his face regardless of what the other may or may not like what he had to say. It was all fun and games from this point on after all.

Endric feigned half assed interest. He was paying attention just in case the other said something of importance, or something he might need to clean up. He was starting to become agitated with the people that kept coming to him and behaving in this manner. It was annoying but he had to deal with anyway. He had hoped his face would not be known way out here but alas, even in this arceus forsaken region the Ruhan name was far too well known. [break][break] "Whatever you say, but do keep in mind, I'm not one to forget transgressions. Step lightly, or you might find yourself between a rock and a hard place with no friends to set you free." It was simply a reminder. Endric wasn't about to throw threats around this early on in things. Oh no that would be rude of him and rude was not something he wished anyone to think he was. That was the sort of thing that ruined your reputation but he wanted to make it very clear to the other that he was not about to let things go if the other made a wrong step. He hated the idea of having more trouble on his hands than he already had with this place. [break][break] With a shrug the man turned to walk away. "Try not to lose anything else while you're out here alright? Not everyone around here is kind enough to give things they find laying around back." Endric moved to walk away, he wasn't interested in dealing with this any longer. It was time to leave. [break] Damian Arc close to closing?
Ian found that this man was going to be a lot harder to work with when he thought. Ian found that rather amusing more than anything however, as he knew that it being too easy wouldn't have made it any fun to work with someone who seemed more than two steps ahead at all times. Ian knew how to play that game as well, and why he generally preferred to stay out of the front lines he knew how to fight them if the need arose. In fact, the man could only wonder how far this man would go to assure his own place in this new Cipher that was to become the next big thing as soon as they got word from what exactly they were supposed to do.
Ian could only let a sly grin cross his face as he listened to the reminder of the other. Oh? Then that meant he had caught enough of the other's attention to be enough for now. Ian wasn't an idiot and he knew when to back off and this was that time to let it sit with the other. He would keep in touch, even if he didn't try to one up the other again, he would still keep his eyes and ears out for when this one got higher in the ranks. Ian hardly doubted that he would sit still for long considering the vibe this man gave off. Ian really had no intention of moving up in the ranks, he was completely fine with his job as an information broker on the sidelines collecting money and resources in his own way.
The man laughed a bit and bowed slightly to the other in a long sweep never losing that smile on his face. " I thank you for the advice, I'll do my best to make sure I don't lose anything again." he said as his body once again moved to an upright position. He wasn't doing it to edge on the other but actually thank him for giving him a slight time of day. All he wanted had actually already happened, and that was he set a seed... a seed that maybe the other would seek him out on his own when he needed information. "I truly hope we meet again." the man said under his breath as the green haired male walked away and scarlet hues watched him till he was out of sight.
