Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

According to certain witnesses, this area was currently being swarmed by lizards with a tail on fire: Charmanders. A specie that is considered quite rare, even in its home region of Kanto. Yet, the Eclo Canyon were being overrun by those little critters, attracting trainers from around the region. Simon was one of them, leaving from his home in Agate Village, travelling with Tenebie and Aqua. Tenebie was running beside his trainer, yapping and enjoying the time she spent outside. As for Aqua.... He was resting in the pokeball. He couldn't be outside with his tamer since there was a lack of water and the pokemon couldn't exactly float around like a certain leviathan that evolved from a dumb fish. After a few hours of travelling, the young man finally reached the entrance of the zone where Team Snagem were said to have been staying.
The relic of the past standing far before him, the trainer observed the area, analyzing the terrain to see any possible advantage or disadvantage that he could have for fighting here. Being in an arid desert, this gave a serious advantage for the fire lizards, yet there was a way to deal with this issue. Simon looked at Tenebie and smiled gently before starting to move, looking around. Hopefully one of the lizards would come out and ease their search, or maybe something to allow him to test his theory of using the move Sand-attack and have it be stronger. Hell, maybe he could so something akin to quick sands if he were to send water on it, who knows.
As the duo kept walking around, they noticed a spherical shape running towards them. The Eevee, trying to defend her trainer, stood before the blue sphere that seemed to now be rolling in the sand. Did it trip somehow? Nonetheless, Simon sighed and stepped forward, stopping the little critter and helping it up. It was a blue sphere-looking pokemon, that had traits similar to a Seal. Intrigued, as he had never seen this small creature before, the trainer popped out his Pokedex and analyzed the information on it. Spheal, water type pokemon and considered to be a Clap Pokemon, as it claps before every meals. It was an intriguing pokemon, to say the least, but not the one he was looking for. Especially since the trainer of that blue pokemon, a lass, came up running behind it. She bowed and apologised to Simon before she noticed his Eevee and asked for a battle.
Simon sighed. Although this would indeed serve as a good practice before facing the red lizard that roamed this land, he still didn't like the fact that he was wasting time instead of searching. Yet, the look that Tenebie gave him... Simon sighed and agreed for the battle. It's not like the water pokemon seemed that dangerous anyway. Tenebie would surely be able to handle it quickly. The battle started and the two pokemons began to stare at each other. Simon decided to let her have the first move, observing what she would do. As soon as she was allowed, the lass opened the fight with a Growl, followed by a Water Gun. Obviously, in this heat, water wasn't the best idea, but it still was enough to deliver an attack.
"Tenebie, Tackle and Swift. End this fight quickly."
Tenebie, as it shook up the water covering her, charged forward, tackling the living sphere head-on. Then, the Eevee jumped back a bit before spinning once on itself and releasing a wave of stars. Needless to say, with such difference in strength, the Spheal quickly went down. The lass quickly collected her pokemon with a tear to her eye, trying to nurse it back as she ran towards a possible pokemon center around. Simon sighed once more and started his search once more, Tenebie following close behind. ________________________________________________
-Tenebie (Eevee, Level 10, Female, Adaptability)Fights: 0/5 (The difference of level making Eevee superior by more then 5 levels, I believe he does not go up to 1/5) Moves: Tackle Sand-Attack Swift Baby-Doll Eyes
-Aqua (Lapras, Level 5, Male, Water Absorb)Fights: 0/5 Moves: Sing Growl Water Gun Mist
Just as he thought he was done with the interruption, not long after the lass left for a city, Simon and Tenebie ended up meeting another person on their travel. Another trainer. Who was definitely younger then him. And from the way she seemed to act with her monkey with a hand for tail, she was a complete brat. From what he could hear from the distance, she was complaining about the sand, the heat, the fact they didn't see any charmanders yet and even more. As he didn't want to get involved nor wish to potentially fight with such a snot-nosed brat, Simon trying to go the long way around. Yet... the Aipom noticed him. And the damn monkey quickly noticed his trainer. The kid quickly turned around, stopping complaining, and ordered the hand-tailed pokemon to attack right away, not even exchanging a greeting or anything. How rude.
Simon somehow expected this though, and so did Tenebie. The Eevee stood before her trainer and proceeded to using Swift to stop the monkey in its tracks. The Aipom, seeing the stars going at him, proceeded to dodge by jumping to the side. But one does not simply run away from Tenebie. Simon had silently analysed the situation and had given the order to the Eevee to intercept his dodge and bash him with a well placed and timed Tackle. A Critical hit. The Aipom was sent reeling toward the brat, who started crying as she saw her pokemon get defeated so easily. Normally, Simon would go to her and try to calm her down, but he didn't have the time for that. The Snot-Nosed Brat shouted an insult at Simon while grabbing her pokemon and started running in the same direction as the lass before her. With a sigh, Simon once more took off, searching for the red lizard.
Meeting two trainers in a row was something... But a third one too? That was too much. When Simon noticed her, his jaw simply dropped. Not because she was beautiful or something. Because he couldn't think his luck was THAT bad. In his head, there was only one thought that crossed his mind: get out of here. Simon pulled Tenebie's pokeball out and called the Eevee back into it before backtracking, evading the trainer's gaze and making sure he was unseen. He only wished to get that charmander and get out of this zone now before potentially trying to challenge one of the colosseum. _______________________________________
Praise the Sun, for he is our lord and savior. Simon's objective had finally been accomplished: finding a charmander. The wonderful red skill, the soft orange tummy, his ever-lasting smile. And that tail. That wonderful tail with a blazing flame burning at the tip of it. Seeing this form reminded Simon of his time in Kanto. If he had chosen to take one back then, maybe he wouldn't have had to go through all this. Yet here he was, and it was useless to reminisce about the past. Simon pulled out Tenebie's pokeball. Time to proceed to the capture. The young trainer made his pokemon come out, sending it towards the Charmander. The little lizard turned around as it noticed an opponent and started to charge, ready to use its Scratch attack.
Tenebie simply charged in with a Tackle, tanking the claws of the future dragon. From what Simon was able to observe, the damage from this attack weren't THAT major, but it had its toll on the Eevee. The 4 legged creature jumped back and retaliated with Swift, unleashing the stars toward the Charmander. But the wild pokemon wasn't going to fall so easily, defending itself by spewing Ember at the attack, making a small explosion. The red lizard had some battle experience, from what Simon could gather. It was time to change strategies. Noticing his Tenebie charging the Charmander again and countering a Scratch with a Tackle, the young man called his pokemon back, before sending his Lapras: Aqua. The commonly-used Sea transportation pokemon appeared beside his trainer and smiled, doing a high pitched noise to show it was content to be free. Simon smiled back to it and rubbed the head of the pokemon.
"Aqua, start with your favorite song. When you see he is sleeping, blast him with your strongest Water Gun."
The Lapras nodded and looked at his opponent. The Charmander tried to use Ember on the Lapras, but it was useless. Aqua began to sing, quickly making the Charmander fall asleep. As it was down, the creature aimed at the opponent's fiery tail and released the strongest Water Gun that he could do. The attack collided, without waking the Charmander, yet the face it did showed it was in pain from such assault. Thus, Simon deemed it was time to try it. Pulling out an empty pokeball from his side-bag, he threw it at the Charmander, commencing the capturing process. Hopefully, all this wouldn't be useless. _____________________________________________________________
