When news of wooper swarming Gateon Port reached Thomas, he made a beeline for the port. He didn't know much about the small pokemon, but some cursory research showed that one might make a good mate for Amphitrite, his mantine. At the very least, it could prove to be a good learning experience for the kite pokemon.
After getting settled in town, Tomas rented a small row boat to search a a few hundred feet off shore, allowing for Amphitrite to comfortably swim alongside the boat. For the most part, he resigned himself to idly following after her, though he'd reign her in if she started straying too far off shore.
