Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

he aging woman gave a hearty sigh of relief when the little boy and You Youngsters And Your Attitudes Get Off My Lawn had finally departed.
Slowly, she lowered herself back to the bench she'd been sitting on. On second thought, she moved and laid on it, producing several cracking noises. "Aaaahhhh...", she smiled lazily, and eyed her silcoon backing away in terror.
"Creepy bug...", she mumbled, letting one eye close as the sticky cotton ball began to hover in frantic circles. "Your hovering is too noisy, quiet down, I'm trying to take a nice nap after that horrible little boy depleted my niceness for the day in a quiet planted garden in a haunted creepy house, you creepy-", she tilted her neck just enough to see the pokemon narrowly dodge a drooling dog.
"Oh for Arcerus-", she dug around in her purse and produced a potion, and in the cascoon's frantic circles, managed to grab it for a moment just long enough to spray it with the entire potion bottle. It wasn't like she cared for the bug, just that she didn't want to have to leave quite yet, and she didn't want to lose either.
"Ugh, you ARE sticky. Gross.", she wiped her hands.
The wild houndour tilted it's head immediately and let loose an ear-piercing hunting howl, and then it lunged. She quickly backed out of the way, getting up in the process and let the two battle it out, interviening only once when Houndour's super effective fire attack neared too close for comfort.

It was a difficult battle, and at last Houndoor fainted, with Beautifly in poor condition. She withdrew a pokeball and threw it at the exhausted dog.
"Dogs drool, but they're easy to look at. Not that you're so bad as a butterfly instead of a floating mass of glue."

he pokeball easily particlized the pooped-out houndour and sucked it up, plopping on the ground and producing a satisfying DING as if it had been ravenously hungry and now was full.
"That little doggie sure put up a fight. He's much stronger than you. Speaking of, you've all done evolving and finally not as ugly. But you're probably pooped and my other bug hasn't evolved at all. I thought for sure all bugs grew quickly ; that's why they're such pests. ", she dug in her purse and returned the Beautifly and then released the Nincada. It looked up at her, producing mouth foam bubbles and rubbing it's mouthpiece.
"Yuck.", she groaned. "I thought only dogs drooled."
She adjusted her back, letting it pop, and slung her purse on her other shoulder. "I've had quite enough of this garden. Maybe we'll run into that little boy again. If we do, I'd better find a bar of soap to wash his mouth with."
They exited the garden through a different door, and turned through a few hallways before arriving at a dead-end, a sturdy study desk shrouded in the light of a stained glass window above it.
She opened the desk's drawer and rifled through it. "Soap, soap, soa-", and there, in the bag was a cardboard box of soap. She grabbed it gleefuly, cackling, and removed its contents.
"Wha, this isn't soap. It must be makeup.", she pressed it against her lips as if it were a big glob of makeup, but it had no effect except to nip at her skin where jagged edges were. "It's not even makeup, it's a rock. A big, ugly ro- oh.", she realized what it was and quietly slipped it into her purse, whistling innocently as she folded her hands in her pockets and quickly walked away, her Nincada struggling to keep up with her pace.
She slowed as she found herself in a main corridor and walked more slowly and naturally. "I thought that rock was ugly, but now I know it's potential, it isn't at all. And my caterpillar bug was ugly, but now it's a butterfly, it's not so bad. And my insect bug - ", she looked down at it, and it looked back at her, as if hopeful.
"You have a face only your mother can love.", she finished.
he was looking down at her Nincada bug when it diverted its attention ahead. She echoed the movement, spotting what the Nincada had seen: a pokemon.
"Aww, it's a wild fishy! A heart shaped fishy! Adorable! Bug! Destroy it!", she commanded. She did think the fish was quite cute, but her bug needed to get stronger and evolve just like her other bug had.

The battle between Nincada and Luvdisc was precarious, to say the least. She only gave commands where her Nincada needed them, which was at the beginning when Luvdisc's power could have easily crushed the bug, and whenever a buff move had reached its maximum potential. Other than that, the battle was quite boring, and it left an inward cringe that she felt she would always remember whenever she looked at it. Still, it had won.
But it was exhausted. She hoped her pokeball would catch the fainted pokemon for breeding stock.

he pokeball swallowed the shallowly breathing pokemon with little effort, not even enough for a single pokeball shake. The light faded from it, indicating a successful capture.
"That battle was way too long.", she grumbled, looking down at the Nincada which was now utterly exhausted from such a long battle.
Reluctantly, she retracted the nincada, put it away, and dug in her purse for beautifly's pokeball, releasing it. "You get more colorfull every time I look at you, bug. Anyways, your cousin bug is too tired to continue, so you get to take over the watch while we wander around this castle of a mansion. Got two new pokemon, though.", she looked at the butterfly, which seemed to be listening, but expressionlessly. "Ugh, what's the use. I'm talking to a bug. Why bother.", she waved her hand dismissvely, which clunked the wall as she did.
She nursed and rubbed the barely hurt hand, noticing a rubbish pile pushed away in a corner as she did. She strode over to it and picked out a pokeball, with a good bit of dusting off. "Not sure what kind of pokeball this is.", she pressed the button and the ball opened, revealing its empty cavern. "Unused, too. It's mine, now.", she pocketed the ball in her purse with the others.
"I was running low. Now we can stay for a while longer to build up our breeding stock for the farm."
he had grown accustomed to not knowing what to expect, but she knew she didn't expect to hear a little pokemon cry from behind her. She turned to see another water pokemon that had probably wandered in from the garden. It saw her and tensed, ready for battle.
"A mudkip...", she thought to herself out loud. "Houndour's a fire type so that battle wouldn't go well, but I have a luvdisc that looks a little tougher than this guy, so I'll be able to use my level ball. Alright, it's a plan.", she settled to herself, and retracted the beautifly and called out the luvdisc. She'd just caught it, so she didn't bother giving it orders and let it battle on its own.

She really wished her pokemon had some better status moves. But then again, she had just caught the Luvdisc so she couldn't expect any better. "Good job, I guess.", she commented as the fish looked up at her. "What, did you want a cookie or something? Stop staring. Your eyes creep me out."
