Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

Endric could not have cared less for the pokemon he was hearing rumors about in the gateon port. He liked it even less than the charmander he had recently gotten in much the same manner. At least the charmander had potential as it evolved even if it was not his favorite choice. Speaking of favorite choices, he was quite over joyed by a recent catch and that was what brought him there for the day. [break][break] A round, walking cacti walked beside him and he was pleased to find Darkroot obeying well enough so far. He hadn't had a lot of time with the pokemon just yet but it was one he had been hunting after for a very long time. Finally getting his hands on it was pleasing indeed. That was why he was here, not so much to acquire the pokemon everyone was talking about but rather in hopes of finding something he could give the pokemon a little practice with and see how well she faired. Perfect. Though he would admit, the fights was destined to be a little underwhelming as the type advantage was in his favor. Not even by a little bit, more like by a landslide. This poor wooper did not stand a chance. That was beside the point, it was the perfect chance to see if his cacnea could even handle battle. [break][break] "Destroy it Darkroot." the cacnea shook her arms in delight at hearing what she had come to learn was her new name. As she shook them out showered a rain of leech seeds that settled on the poor little wooper's feets. He danced around on them, hoping to dislodge the seeds but to no avail. He spurted a water gun at thew cactus but that meant little to her, the seeds stings its feet as they sucked away at its health. The cacti pokemon followed by using growth and then launching an absorbing attack, the damage it did to the ground/water type was staggering. It slammed into her but at this point its drive for battle was obviously diminishing. Another growth and absorb paired with the draining leech seed was about all it would take to feint the pokemon. [break][break] Endric left it behind with a grin on his face. Some poor child could capture it while it was still out or something of the like. For now he was too busy relishing in the success of his pokemon. [break] cacnea beat wooper, no capture attempt [break] thread will continue for training purposes.

Next thing Endric knew some little snot decided he was going to start smacking him with something from behind and her whipped around in annoyance. The kid didn't even need to talk Endric was already motioning for the cacti to turn around and make quick work of the boy, or at least scare him off if nothing else for the time being. Just to get him out of his hair. [break][break] The boy dropped a pokemon in time for it to intercept a poison sting from his cacnea. Endric smirked, so she was as ruthless as he was she? Perfect. He'd need such a pokemon to counter Ivalice and her determination to have him keep his humanity as though he might actually need it one day. The cacnea had enough smarts to cover eyes with her arms when the bug tried to flash them, Endric closed his eyes as well and was glad to see his cacnea wasting no time in shooting off another set of poisons sting, one of which missed completely but the bug had to get in the way to protect the boy again. The bug moved in with a tackle, a successful hit but as the bug made contact darkroot rattled out a slew of leech seeds to drop on the pokemon. Between them and the poison from her stingers the bug was not likely to last long. Even as it tried to use moonlight it wasn't much worth it, after all it was still day. One last poison sting and the leech seed and poison felled the bug. [break][break] The next pokemon came out ready to go, going right in for a stomp and the cacnea tried to get away, leaving leech seeds in her wake as she rolled by, dodging stomp after stomp. The rhyhorn eventually had to come to a stop to try and pry leech seeds out of its feet which proved a bad move. Darkroot used growth to strengthen herself before using absorb on the pokemon and the damage done to it was staggering. It moved in for another stomp but the leech seeds took their toll and even as the attack made contact it was half hearted. The next absorb from the cactus was more then enough. [break][break] With the pokemon both defeated Endric motioned for his cacnea to follow him, which she did happily with a cheerful bounce in her step. This was turning out perfectly. [break] cacnea beat both. [break] thread will continue.

Endric was enjoying the outting with this cacnea by his side. While she would be no replacement for Ivalice she would certainly work better on days when he wasn't interested in showing anything any mercy. He liked the idea of having a more ruthless pokemon and was rather pleased to find it being the cacnea he had so long wished for. [break][break] So caught up in his thoughts he was, so much so he almost missed the stray pokeball on the ground. While it wasn't the greatest find it was a little something and he would gladly take it as he continued on his way in hopes of getting a little something more exciting for his Darkroot. As if today hadn't already gone so very well Endric soon found a box with a pretty little bow being handed to him for some kind of mini-celebration from one of the local shops. The gifting wasn't what made it worth his while thought it was the item inside the box. The dusk stone he found was actually one of two stones Endric had been keeping an eye out for. It wasn't the preferred one but he'd certainly take it. [break][break] Looking around however, Endric was starting to feel like his luck on training had run out, oh well. He'd gotten a good idea of what the cacnea would be capable of for the day and he was more satisfied than he normally was. [break] no battle [break] thread end
