The boy got a lot angrier at losing that Lace had expected. He started shouting at her and once the Voltorb was back in the pokeball, he started chasing after her with his bug net. Lace squeaked in surprise and took off running to avoid getting caught. She had been hit by the stick once already and the experience was not pleasant. She had no desire to get whacked with it again, only this time Lace was sure it would hurt more because it was going to be on purpose and filled with petty rage of not winning a battle.

Ragdoll took off after her trainer, moving along ahead to find a clear path that Lace could follow where she would be able to avoid running into things and other people as much as possible. She managed to clear through a lot of the crowd with ease, but Lace’s foot caught on something and caused her to go flying forward. Ragdoll tried to catch the trainer, but it was really no use. The Shuppet just ended up getting caught in the fall and came tumbling down with her trainer.

As Lace sat herself up, she checked her skin or bruises and her dress for any rips. She didn’t appear to be too hurt, so that was a relief. Her elbow hurt a little bit, but it wasn’t any worse than the one time she had fallen out of a tree when she was younger. She searched next for whatever made her fall over onto the ground. She didn’t think she had tripped over any people’s feet (there weren’t even any people around them). A small, circular object laid on the ground not too far away from the two of them.

“Another one?” Lace questioned as she picked up the pokeball. She was just finding tons of these today, wasn’t she? At this rate, Lace wouldn’t have to spend any money at the store on these little capsules anymore. She had enough for an entire party of Pokemo and some left over in case the first ones didn’t catch what she threw them at.
