DATE MET: October 7, 2016 ; MET AT: Level 15Filed Notes: I can't believe she was half-starved! If I had enough money I might have purchased the whole damn ranch! Well, at least I saved her, right? She's a very sweet Ponyta. Easy to handle and follows directions well. She has some troubles following the reigns but I feel like she'll get better with some training. Honestly, I miss the Zebstrika at home, but Ponyta are amazing too. And Rapidash? I wonder if she'll ever evolve. Even if she doesn't, I'll take good care of her. She deserves someone that will look after her. I mean, every Pokemon does!

DATE MET: Oct. 7, 2016; MET AT: Level 10Filed Notes: Poor guy was just laying in a fountain in that giant tower. His pokeball was left with him too. I couldn't leave him there so I took him in. I may or may not have gotten into a fight with his former owner, but September made sure he won't be able to sit for a while. Anyway, I decided to name this guy Tuesday, on the day I met him. It's funny, August and Tuesday. I met August on Monday and Tuesday on Tuesday! That's just a day apart! Anyway, I wonder why this Lapras was abandoned. It doesn't matter, just curious. I think all he needs is someone to care for him. He's pretty young and a little small. Must have been recently hatched from an egg or something.

DATE MET: October 7, 2016 ; MET AT: Level 12Filed Notes: Golden, like a perfectly baked potato. That's the first thing I thought after I caught this guy. He's actually really sweet! He doesn't seem fond of everyone, though. I guess it has to do with Pokemon intuition or something. Honestly, I don't know what's up with this dog. The Pokedex says they are supposed to be a dark grey and black, but instead, this guy is gold. Its honestly confusing. Still, Potato has quickly become part of the family. Even August has begun to like him! All I really know is that Potato is a nice Pokemon to have around. Everyone needs a dog or a cat, right?

Genderless - Level 15 - Clear Body
DATE MET: October 7, 2016 ; MET AT: Level 15Filed Notes: Some weird guy told me he caught this Pokemon on a Leap Day, but he doesn't want it because its cursed. I don't see it. OK, well, I do. For some reason, Leap here is a magnet. He finds so many items its honestly terrifying. But hey, I won't complain to free stuff! Being caught on a leap day is a pretty strange thing, too. So, I think I'll keep him. Ah, yeah, him. Or it. Or they. Leap doesn't seem to respond to female pronouns. I guess he has a preference. Anyway, he's a pretty sweet Pokemon. I can't wait to train him some more!

September "Ember" THE Charmeleon
Female - Level 16 - Blaze
DATE MET: October 7, 2016 ; MET AT: Level 15Filed Notes: I found her the same day I got August. She was just wandering in the outskirts of the town I arrived in. She was pretty weary of me but she was a little hurt. I think something had caused her some damage considering her stomach was all roughed up. After a while she started to trust me and I was able to take her to a Pokemon Center. She did not like being anywhere she couldn't see me. The nurse said it was common for wild Pokemon to bond with those that help them. Survival tactics and all. Needless to say, Ember was caught pretty easily.
Field Notes: No wonder why she's been so upset recently! I guess evolution effects all Pokemon differently. I wonder if she'll act just as weird when she reaches her final stage, but for now, at least she's calmed down. I have to admit, Ember is a little more helpful now that she has evolved. Especially since she has longer limbs. All in all? I'm happy she has finally calmed down.

DATE MET: October 7, 2016 ; MET AT: Level 10Filed Notes: Alfredo! Alfredo! I can't believe my mom sent me her Espurr! Alfredo was a gift from her brother who traveled to Kalos. She and this little cat were inseparable! Oh, Alredo actually came with a note. I'll tape it into the journal so I can keep track of it.

How is Orre? I hear its not the best of the regions, but I know you can get a lot of work done over there to get your Ph.D! Your father and I miss you very much. We hired some people to help train the Zebstrika but they aren't nearly as good as you are! We are taking very good care of Sparky. She really misses you, but your father takes her riding everyday when his back is feeling alright.
I hope Alfredo gets to you safe and sound. I know how it may sound, but I really think you should keep Alfredo with you. Never let her leave your side. She'll protect you and keep you safe and act as a good watch-cat. She has taken such good care of our family and our Zebstrika. But you need her now.
Please remember to write and be sure to go see a doctor every now and then! I know how you are when you get hurt, but you can't always patch yourself up with medical tape and gauze! I can't wait to hear from you soon. Your father and I will be waiting for your letter.
