[attr="class","mdhopen"]Due to the new influx of pokemon in the orre region, it is possible to catch pokemon on our site. If this is not during a pokemon swarm a pokemon randomizing in will be very rare, so choose what to do very wisely. On our site pokemon can be caught one of two ways: Fainting the pokemon or Catching conscious. It is up to every single character which way you would like to proceed, but do note that knocking a pokemon out does not ensure your capture of it. The chances for unconscious and conscious are the same, this is simply just a choice for how your character operates in battle and out of battle. To ensure a pokemon is captured the following are the chances for pokemon capture:
- Pokeball
- lvl 1-25 (auto) 26-50 (roll 50% chance) 51-75 (roll 25% chance) 75+ (fail)
- lvl 1-40 (auto) 41-75 (roll 50% chance) 75+ (roll 25% chance)
- lvl 1-50 (auto) 51-75 (roll 75% chance) 75+ (roll 50% chance)
- lvl 1-100 (auto)
- if pokemon is lower or same level as wild pokemon (roll 25% chance)
- if pokemon is higher level but less than double the wild pokemon's level (roll 50% chance)
- if pokemon is more than double but less than four times the level of the wild pokemon's level (roll 75% chance)
- if pokemon is more than four times the wild pokemon's level (auto)
- if used on a regular wild pokemon level 1-25 (roll 50% chance), 26-75 (roll 25% chance), 76+ (fail)
- if used on a wild pokemon while fishing 1-25 (auto), 26-75 (roll 75% chance), 76+ (roll 50% chance)
- if pokemon hasn't been caught before lvl 1-25 (auto), 26-50 (roll 50% chance), 51-75 (roll 25% chance), 76+ (fail)
- if pokemon has been caught before lvl 1-40 (auto), 41-75 (roll 75% chance), 76+ (roll 50% chance)
- if pokemon is same lower or same level as wild pokemon (fail)
- if pokemon is pokemon is higher level (50% chance)
- if wild pokemon isn't a water or bug type - lvl 1-25 (auto), 26-50 (roll 50% chance), 51-75 (roll 25% chance), 75+ (fail)
- if wild pokemon is a water or bug type - level 1-40 (auto), 41-75 (roll 50% chance), 76+ (roll 25% chance)
- if used normally - lvl 1-25 (auto), 26-50 (roll 50% chance), 51-75 (roll 25% chance), 75+ (fail)

[attr="class","mdhsub2"]capture
[attr="class","mdhtextbod"]The site does have a dice option implemented just for rolling for capture rates. To roll for a capture, you must use the dice button. To type out the correct range would be [*roll range="1-10"] without the * in it and this will roll your number for you. Please remember that capturing pokemon is the range 1-10 and you only need to roll if it is not an auto roll. For example, if you wanted to capture a ryhorn and it was level 26 and you were using a pokeball you would do the following in your post where a mod can see:
Attempted Capture: yes
Used: Pokeball
p5g|gIKm1-10
Now that you have your number let's tell you if it is correct or not. The following is the list of how to tell if your roll is a success or not. Please follow this list for all of the rolls for captures, not just with pokeballs:
25% chance: 1-3 success 4-10 fail
50% chance: 1-5 success 6-10 fail
75% chance: 1-8 success 9-10 fail
100% chance: all numbers work (should not roll)
So the above capture would be a success! Please note that if your post is edited with the dice roll, your roll won't change, so you won't be able to cheat. We do have security logs, so if we see you deleted the post and you can't give us an appropriate reason as to why you did so, you will lose the pokemon. If you have to change something it is better to tell a staff member to check your roll first and have them make a note of what you rolled first.

[attr="class","mdhsub2"]using a pokemon in the same thread it was captured.
[attr="class","mdhtextbod"]You are more than welcome to use pokemon in the same thread that you captured them, however if you do so the pokemon's battle count must be set at 3/5 regardless of the manner in which it was captured. Please make sure to note then when using those pokemon.
