[attr="class","mdhtitle"]Pokemon Abilities
[attr="class","mdhsub"]is that even legal?
[attr="class","mdhbody"]
[attr="class","mdhopenbod"]
[attr="class","mdhopen"]so we all know that some pokemon have extra abilities stated in their pokedex descriptions, or seen in the anime, this thread is meant to let everyone know what you can and what you can't do with these abilities.
[attr="class","mdhsub2"]abilities in rp
[attr="class","mdhtextbod"]Using your extra abilities in rp is allowed, but staff do not approve of any abilities that cross or dabble on the lines of god modding. If your pokemon is capable of this just don't do it, or ask a staff member first. If you want to use your pokemon abilities in rp for shits and giggles that's completely fine, we encourage it. You must have permission if you are going to use anything on another player however. It is a good note to know that if you wouldn't want it done to you or your pokemon don't do it to someone else, unless you planned it out of thread oocly. Examples of these abilities would be ninetails and its ability to control others or it living thousands of years. Obviously your newly evolved ninetails hasn't lived thousands of years and will need to learn to use its new abilities, so just play it logically guys that's all we ask.
[attr="class","mdhsub2"]extra abilities in battle
[attr="class","mdhtextbod"]The extra abilities from pokedex descriptions and anime can not be used in battle. For the sake of making this a fair game you may not use them in any of the following cases: player vs player, player vs npc, or player vs mod. If you want a logical reason for this, you can think of it that the pokemon are so concentrated on the battle they can not use their extra abilities. This does not include actual pokemon abilities which will be talked about in the next section.
[attr="class","mdhsub2"]regular abilities in battle
[attr="class","mdhtextbod"]Regular pokemon abilities will always be usable in battle. We are in the rp setting so you may roleplay out your ability to the best way you possibly can. For abilities that are stat based feel free to ask a staff member how it works, but most of them will just be a more logical reason behind them. Things like intimidate will make the other pokemon more weary of the pokemon and normally won't attack in full force.
[attr="class","mdhsub2"]Special move Cases
[attr="class","mdhtextbod"]Intimidate: intimidates the opponent, and the opponent generally won't attack with full force.
Adaptability: if the pokemon uses a move of the same type, it will be stronger than normal
Airlock: puts a field around pokemon, pokemon is no longer effected by any weather conditions

[attr="class","mdhsub2"]THE ABILITY PICK UP
[attr="class","mdhtextbod"]Due to Pick up's unique nature we're going to tackle it separately from the others.
1. Pick up may only be triggered in mod threads after a trainer or wile pokemon battle. It will not be triggered in posts where you have found items or starting posts.
2. You the player will be responsible for rolling for pick up, mods will not do it for you.

2a. at the end of your post you will label a dice roll as a pick up roll, then click the dice button in the reply menu. It will automatically be set to 1-10 range which is what you will roll.3. Pick up will trigger on a 1 in 10 basis, meaning if your dice roll is a 1 you will receive an item as part of your previous round rewards on top of whatever levels/capture etc you received. This item will be randomized like other item spawns.
2b. You may not edit your post if there is a roll in it, if we see an edited marker in the post before we have awarded the item it will be considered null and you will not receive a bonus item that turn no matter what you roll. This also means you may not edit one in after you post because that would cause an edited marker so be sure you do it. (This is to prevent people from rolling, getting a bad roll, editing out a roll and editing in a new one)
