Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

Maiya was genuinely surprised to see a breeder out here in all honesty. Then again she had heard somewhere that wilds could be hard to get your hands on if you weren't looking in just the right places around here so perhaps that's why they actually had breeders out here? Oh well either way she was stuck with another battle- with a miltank.
Mother effing- really? Those weren't even that hard to deal with they were just annoying. At least every last one she'd dealt with in the past was that way. She doubted this one would be all that different. Stupid things.
Maiya thought for a moment, who would she rather have against this shit? If anything... probably her Ralts. In part because not only was her Ralts very eager for battle but the little bugger was the lowest level on her team, it had a fair amount of catching up to do still.
"Sylvia. Psyshock." normally the Ralts listened to her trainer well but this time she chose to do things a little differently. With a low little growl at the enemy miltank she aimed to lower its defensive stance, when it worked she quickly shifted to using a move Maiya hadn't seen yet today, double team. The Ralts moved fast, evasion going high enough for the big bellied Miltank to end up missing its stomp atack much to its own dismay. With its defense a little on the low side still the Ralts used a Psychock, letting the fact that it did physical damage take advantage of the lowered defense.
Maiya raised a brow, at least the little thing was smart.
The Miltank responded with defensive curl and that was fine by the ralts, it wasn't the only move she had. Confusion would also do the trick in damaging this annoying foe. When the Miltank rolled in for another stomp attack the ralts parried with her double team, preventing the attack from hitting, circling the miltank. Rather than wait for her the Miltank curled up again, a defensive curl. The Ralts stopped in time to use another confusion, bringing the pokemon down even lower. This time, with a little bit of luck the move confused the enemy pokemon! The miltank tried to use milk drink but ended up stumbling all over its own feet and spilled the milk! Her ralts closed in for another confusion and it hit well enough. The pokemon tried another stomping attack... and stomped on its own foot! The last tick of health went down when Ralts finished it up with a psyshock.
Then the toll of the battle really took over the Raltz, Maiya was swift to make use of the potion she had found earlier to heal the pokemon who seemed very grateful her trainer was willing to keep her going instead of letting her faint.

Oh he was gonna drive her up a wall she could tell already, barely even got a word about battling out his mouth by the time Maiya and her ralts were standing again. Probably wanting to take advantage of the fact that last battle wore them down.
And then he popped out a krabby.
Maiya hated krabbies.
"Sylvia." the pokemon seemed to take a moment to breath a little before she swayed again, just as she had been before and in a moments notice used double team, circling the krabby as she had the other pokemon before it. When it attempted to use bubble she simply skipped around before going in with a psyshock. It responded with mud sport, that it did it any good and the Ralts almost seemed to chuckle before striking it with another psyshock.
The next spewing of bubbles was its last, the confusion that following them downing the pokemon with ease. Both trainer and pokemon made note of the fact the ralts was definitely stronger, this was a good sign.
Perhaps there was still a challenge or two to be found out here though.

Maiya was rounding a corner looking for something else of interest when she almost ran into something.
A purple fish with clam fins? normally she would have left it fainted on the side of the road no questions asked but she knew this pokemon well.
That was not its normal color. Shit. This was not a predicament she liked being in. She hated water types, they gave her anxiety like there was no tomorrow but at the same time it was hard to pass up a situation like this. On top of that it was a water/ground line, that could be useful down the road.
Shit.
She had little choice really did she? she was catching that thing whether she wanted to or not.
"Sylvia, play gentle." The ralts gladly moved to strike the pokemon, who was picking through a bag that had been left lying around, with a psyshock. the little thing retaliated with a growl and a tackle but the ralts seemed to endure it with little trouble, returning the favor with a case of confusion. When it went in for a mudslap she retorted with double team, watcching it grow confused for a moment before finishing things off with another psyshock. "That's enough."
Maiya went ahead and threw out a pokeball before the little thing could end up too tired, if she got 2 decent catches in one day she'd be calling this a victory.

Even as Maiya picked up the pokeball from the captured mudkip she was still a little uncertain about the pokemon. She knew it was a good choice, even if she decided she couldn't handle having the thing she'd be able to get a good market price for it thanks to the odd color but water types were far from her favorite. Not only was she more partial to fire but water was, a source of anxiety to put it slightly. She could tolerate water better than when she was younger but it still got to her even after all these years.
That was a mater for later though, she'd figure that out and she went since her Ralts was showing signs of being anxious herself. She obvious wanted to continue on in their little venture and she wasn't want to tell the pokemon no. Besides if this venture had been this lucrative already it was only bound to get better.
Which it did when a shiny object hiding behind another rock caught the Ralts' eye. It went to poke at the thing and eventually play around with it, after a few moments she swayed over to Maiya to show her what she found, and give it to her. The Ralts seemed rather happy when maiya praised her for the finding. A shiny Stone wasn't half bad an item to be pocketing either.

Just as Maiya was pocketing her stone something whizzed by, damn near bumping into her. Actually it was way too close for her liking and she was instantly annoyed. She turned to see a cyclist and without second thought picked up a rock and threw it right at his butt.
"Hey fat ass! Watch where you're going!" the cyclist came to a dead stop and turned around to glare at her over his shoulder, and then he dropped a pikachu on the field like that meant anything. Maiya rolled her eyes at him and motioned for her Ralts to make her way out to battle.
The ralts wasted no time on waiting for commands, instantly going in for a psyshock, it was a strong enough hit for the pikachu to respond with a growl, mistaking the way the move worked it followed it with play nice, attempting to further the decrease in ralts' attack. Which worked, but did little good when the psychic type responded with confusion the mouse seemed to notice the error of its ways, in an attempt to make up for the mistake it zoomed in with a quick attack to which her Ralts responded by teleporting out of range, following it by the use of double team to confuse the mouse. It attempted to use thunder wave, but unable to track its target well meant all Ralts had to do was keep moving before positioning herself right to blast the mouse with another psyshock. This last attack knocked the mouse over and she began swaying in place, waiting for more.
The opposing cyclist responded by returning his pikachu and releasing a beedrill of all things. Maiya shrugged, people seemed to make teams that were a hodge podge of everything around here.
"Have fun Sylvia." Maiya didn't see a point in swapping out now when her Ralts had been the one so interested in continuing to battle. Not to mention she was pretty sure it was the pokemon with the type advantage on her team at the moment.
The beedrill sat still for a moment, focusing its energy. The Ralts didn't wait around, instead she quickly replied with a confusion attack, and something about the bug looked a little off afterwards. It swooped in for a fury attack, the first strike hit but lo and behold, the confusion had worked... and the second attack ended up hitting its own stinger! The beedrill flew back, waving the hurt stinger around and the determined Ralts took her chance to drop a psyshoock on the bug/poison type. It hit hard. The bug swooped back in, attempting twin needles and though the first strike hit again the second one went into its own stinger again, now both hurt! Waving its stingers around, confused as to what was going on the Ralts threw one last psyshock at the bug and it dropped from the air, down for the count.
"I think it's time we returned to the hotel, don't you agree?" her Ralts nodded and maiya headed on her way to her room, satisfied.
