 "Quote from post." OOC NOTES Finn had a well-defined interest in Pokémon, and Magnemites were not on the list. Floating contradictions that attracted and repulsed as they pleased, staring through a singular eye that could see neither depth nor, truly, anything worthwhile.
In that sense, a Magnemite had some semblance─
Finn's train of thought was interrupted by a sudden sense of... being quite all right with a Magnemite. It wasn't a Pokémon he wanted to capture, but there wasn't anything bad about it.
The young man sighed, knowing full well why he felt this way again. With a look to the Shuppet, Finn said, "Not those."
Shuppet laughed (or something that sounded like it).
Finn shook his head. Whichever. He didn't feel like fighting a Magnemite, however; he wasn't sure on the properties of Steel-Type Pokémon, and had no interest in figuring it out.
"Let's backtrack," he said to Shuppet, and with a dash the two turned around and ran.

"Quote from post." OOC NOTES Like staring in a badly designed mirror, Finn and Shup found themselves eye-to-eye with another Shuppet. Finn wasn't sure if it was because this one was genuinely odd, or because he had spent many years with Shup, but he could instantly see that the two looked hardly anything alike.
Finn supposed it might just be his feelings, and the two looked identical for real. None-the-less, Finn knew an enemy when he saw one, and he was staring it in the face right now.
"Shup, think... same old works." As far as Finn knew, Ghosts weren't particularly good against Dark attacks, even if they used them.
The enemy Shuppet started things off with setting Shup ablaze, and its Night Shade sent Shup spinning for a moment... but Shup knew her craft and battle well, and would not fall so easily.
She screeched, ignoring any burn, and then launched her own Knock Off attack.
The enemy Shuppet Spited them, and launched another Night Shade... but before the Screech and Knock Off combination attack, they were as nothing. Even a strength difference meant little if they couldn't replicate Shup's combo.
Even a Shuppet fell to Shup.
