Bianca had been scoping out the place mostly because of how nice it looked. Way nicer than some of the other places in Orre, she adored the trees of Agate. She hadn't been around here in forever and lately something seemed to be stirring. She was curious what this energy was in the air and was trying to scope out leads of all kinds. Including stories about the old days of Orre! She wanted to collect all the stories, especially once about pokemon. After all the Orre region had a very odd demographic compared to the other regions. Well there she was getting a little lost in her thought again as she walked through Agate, that is until she spotted something that looked kind of interesting on the bottom of one of the streams in the town. Was that an item? Or just a shiny looking rock? Didn't matter Bianca was taking a look at it even though her Swablu started to tug at her shirt in an attempt to remind the girl of what she was there for. Oops. Bianca felt a tap on her shoulder and straightened up with a start. She hadn't expected anyone to come across her really and was happy to see a sweet old man standing beside her. "Care for a battle my dear?""Certainly!" She wasn't one to say no and didn't hesitate to nudge her swablu to move a good distance away from her to prepare for a battle. "Is that all you've got? Oh dear...." the old man seemed concerned and she was awful confused until he let out his pokemon. Snorunt. That was a little concerning. She was sure they'd manage well enough but ice was never a good match up for something like her swablu... for now at least. "It's alright, we can battle anyway." He was being a gentleman at least and she wouldn't back down with good sport being in mind. Better than how half the trainers around these part liked to conduct themselves if she was being honest. "You may move first, for fairness my dear." Bianca grinned and nodded in recognition though he might end up regretting that. "Sing." Her Swablu began to sing a sweet little tune and it didn't take long for the silly little snorunt to start to snooze. "Oh me oh my what a surprise! and I didn't grab my item bag today." the old man seemed a little worried but alas the worry did little to awaken his snorunt. "Fury attack!" with that her swablu went in for a fury attack while the snorunt continued to sleep, swwoping out and back in once, twice, three times, four, but the last hit was hard enough to bring the snorunt back to its sense and full awake. As though started a little powdered snow began to form in the air and her swablu had to huddle himself up against the chill of it, the move effecting him more than she liked. The swablue snapped out of the snow and retaliated with an astonish watching the pokemon flinch gave them a little hope. "Fury!" before the snorunt could move again the swablu swooped in and out again as it had done while the other was sleeping, once, twice, three times, it went in for a fourth and- snorunt bit down just as it swooped and her swablu gave a cry before wiggling free somehow. But the swablu would not be dissuaded, instead it ruffled itself up and went in for one last fury attack. Striking the snorunt again and again even as it tried to retaliate with powdered snow again. The bird was left tired and heavy of breathing but it was victorious. The old man bowed and walked away. Next thing Bianca knew she was hummin her way through the houses and she hears the howl of a little Poochyena! That was more than worth investigating, if it happened to be wild she'd maybe even get another pokemon for her team. Bianca couldn't believe her luck when not only was it definitely wild it was an abnormal coloring! Though she was pretty sure a coloring like that would doom it in the wild just... look at those colors! It was so.... gold? Brown? she wasn't sure. "Still can't pass that up though can we?" definitely not. "Peck Capricorn."Her swablu did just as it was told and the peck certainly didn't seem to be something the pooch liked much. It tried to tackle at the flyer who well, quickly flew out of range and went in with an astonish, something that would hit but shouldn't have been hard enough to drop it dead. "That's enough!" while he pokemon returned to her Bianca retrieved her pokeball and threw it. Of course someone else wanted a battle, not that she minded that much it was only natural around here. She was about to say no to someone, though Bianca was rather surprised by the pokemon they released, another swablu! She thought they were a bit rarer than that. Before either of the trainers could make a move their swablu's both made an attempt at singing each other to sleep. When both realized what the other was doing they simply... got louder, attempting to drown each other out and put the other to sleep first. Both trainers had to cover their ears and even then started to get a bit drowsy. (Translation: capricorn: NO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO SING I'M SINGING swablu: I'M THE BETTER SINGER SHUT UP capricorn: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE THE BETTER SINGER? I'M THE BETTER SINGER YOU SHUT UP swablu: NO YOU'RE NOT I'LL PROVE IT capricorn: NO I'LL PROVE IT) When finally everything finally went silent it was for one reason only. Both swablu had fallen asleep. Sound asleep. They were even snoring. Both trainer and researcher looked at each other and blinked before looking back at the pokemon in front of them. What exactly had just happened? "Well... perhaps we should get some tea instead?""Oh that would be lovely! You don't happen to know any stories about the region do you?" this would be the start of a long conversation between a pair of swablu owners over a cup of tea, each with a sleeping swablu in their lap. An hour later after a nice talk, with her now awake swablu, Bianca made her way out and returned to traversing the town. And yet another elderly person wished to battle her. Shew knew there were old people around here but she thought there ought to be at least one or two people on the younger side. Oh well. Bianca simply sent out her swablu since honestly, she wasn't sure about the poochyena yet. It wasn't really her type of pokemon and felt compelled, for some odd reason to think of it as 'french fries the poochyena'. She wasn't going to dwell on that though. The only man started off with a tackle, which her swablu had little issue with. He quickly retaliated with an astonish and with his lukc, it happened to make the enemy hoothoot flinch. Following that flinch was an onslaught of fury attacks which the hoot hoot tried to counter with a growl. Altaria gave one more bout of fury attacks and the lower level pokemon fainted.
