Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

I NEVER WANTED YOU
Liam Callaghan NOTES: herp derp "oh look its an old man!"
TO SEE THE DARKEST PART OF ME
Pyrite was one of his favorite places is in all of the Orre region. Well... maybe that wasn't the complete truth considering he hadn't been many places yet. Ian had only arrived not that long before, as a transfer to Orre to join this group called CipherEx. Honestly, he wasn't that big into the idea, but maybe that's why they sent him. He had never really wanted to rank up back home in Johto either, it was just fun to be part of a bad guy group cause no one expected anything out of you except well.. evil. It was a good feeling to not have any kind of pressure on your back and you could laze around or steal some poor saps money for anyone to care.
Perhaps that was why Pyrite was the best. Pyrite was a town full of theives and thugs that didn't even have to belong to a bad guy group. Hell there were even thieves stealing from other thieves here. It was the perfect place for a prankster like him, except there was one thing missing in Ian's life right now. Ah yes, the prankee, no good prank was without his target. Sitting on one of the buildings over looking duel square, the raven haired man had been waiting a while. Playing with a knife that he had picked out as his second favorite. After all, you didn't want to use your favorite blade and get it covered in a thieves blood, no you saved your favorite blade for someone who you really wanted to stab.
Honestly, he had seen a couple faces walk into duel square but none of them really called out to him. The cipher moving his hand to his check to rest in his palm as scarlet hues seemed bored and uncaring as his free hand flipped his knife absently. Boooorrrrinnnnggg. At least till scarlet hues picked up a trace of blonde out of the corner of his eye. Oh, now this one looked promising, he didn't recal ever seeing the guy here before and oh.. he didn't look the part at all. Most people wore nothing close to rags here but this guy wore what looked like a suit and a tie? Oh how cute, he could only imagine this guy as a sucker and bingo, his target was found. A bit of a bloodlust coming over him, as he slowly stood up and vigor filled those scarlet hues.
A dark chesire grin moving across his face as he grabbed the throwing knife correctly in his dominate hand and moving his arm back in prep to throw. Oh no one would notice if one person died right? They wouldn't be able to trace him from his knife, and he could probably frame someone else down there... after all not many could throw from this distance and hit their target. Waiting for the right moment the man held still before suddenly moving to life again as his hand quickly released the blade down to the square below. At the rate the man was walking if he didn't move out of the way the blade would probably catch the guys neck, but well... if he died it would quell his blood lust...
but if he survived, this might get a little more interesting. "Tag... you're it." he mused putting his hands back in his pockets and leaning over the edge to watch and see if he pegged his cute little toy.

I WANNA HIDE THE TRUTH
[attr="class","httlyr"]I WANNA SHELTER YOU
Towns were never really the blonde's favorite place. They were usually too crowded -- even if they were practically a ghost town, he still felt there were too many people -- and noisy. There were idiots as far as the eye could see, shopkeepers who tried to scam you out of your last cent, and in this particular town: thieves and more thieves. Of course there was also the police station here, but they didn't seem to be doing that good of a job if you asked him. So whenever he visited Pyrite -- which was once in a blue moon if that, he always had to watch out for his belongings.
It wasn't like he was afraid of the thieves here. He could easily handle his own if something happened. But there were pickpockets galore, murderers as well he was sure. And he'd rather not risk losing something that he owned to some stupid punk who decided he might make an easy target. The only reason he was here today was so that he could stock up on supplies and food. Then he intended to head right on back out to the open road, where there were significantly less people to annoy the shit out of him.
Of course, his day unfortunately wouldn't be going as he hoped. He hoped to just get in and out before the drama began. But oh, oh no, that wouldn't be happening today. He could practically pick up the bloodlust as he crossed the square. With a roll of his eyes he would ignore it -- up until whoever it was decided it was time to fuck with him. And that really got on his nerves. You see, Liam wasn't really a fan of violence. He wanted to stay out of trouble was much as possible. But he also had a really bad temper. And that kinda helped him get into trouble. There hadn't been anyone who he couldn't handle yet,, because the blonde had a monstrous strength that certainly shouldn't belong to any human and yet somehow did. It tended to frighten most people, which led to them abandoning him or avoiding him as if he were the black plague. It was one of the reasons he preferred being alone. No people, no anger issues, no violence, and therefore no losing someone again. Perhaps he even belonged here, with the rest of these monsters.
So it really didn't surprise him when all of a sudden a knife came whizzing at him from behind. He was impressed, if you wanted his honest opinion. Whoever threw it was clearly skilled, and for a brief moment it piqued his interest. For a brief moment that is. He'd really rather be alone after all, and if someone was this skilled, well that meant that it was probably someone who could cause him quite a bit of trouble. And that pissed him off.
So what did he do when the knife came at him? Well he wasn't going to let it just hit him, that was for sure. Who in their right mind would do that? And he wasn't going to act like he didn't notice it and just conveniently move out of the way. Though that might prove as some amount of entertainment to himself, imagining the frustration of the other party. But no, no, he wouldn't do that either. Instead? With quick reflexes, his left hand shot up and caught the blade of the knife right before it hit his neck. And with that, he hurled it back in the direction it came.
He wasn't going to be just some easy prey for some asshole.

I NEVER WANTED YOU
Liam Callaghan NOTES: Ian wants to know if tomorrow is a better day?
TO SEE THE DARKEST PART OF ME
Ian watched as the blonde continued to move through the streets as the knife was right on course. Something about this one seemed off and only after a moment did he understand why, it was because he had known he was there.. the entire time. This one was definitely interesting in his own right. There had been very few people who could pick up on his bloodlust and even fewer who could sense a throw like that before it was too late. Most got a bad feeling, but that was just from Pyrite in general. So a sly smirk formed the cipher's face as the knife hit its target but he was amused that it was actually caught.
Ian felt more amused than he had before, but it didn't stop there. By catching it the other would have found its direction and much like he suggested the other returned the throw back his direction. This one was definitely one that he would have to keep his eyes on and considering he had tossed his knife back he would insult the blonde if he ran now. So he stood there waiting for the knife to come back his way moving his hand up to catch the blade between his pointer and middle finger taking the slight cut it gave on his face.
A bigger smirk moved over his face as the Cipher moved, quickly one might add from roof top to roof before jumping down into a small ally near him. This blonde was definitely now on his to keep watch list and he was going to make sure he knew exactly who this guy was. With a slight shrug of his hand he wiped at his face getting off most of the blood and only leaving a smear as he walked casually out of the ally his red orbs glancing for a sight of blonde and once he saw him he moved with urgency to make sure he cut him off.
"You aren't in a hurry are you? I wanted to thank you.." he smirked some twirling his knife in his right hand. "For returning my knife... mr? " the man prodded for the others name.

Unfortunately catching the blade had cut into his hand. Pretty good too considering the speed at which it had been thrown at him. Pushing down the sickened feeling in his stomach he wiped it off on his pants and kept walking, not even bothering to give the time of day to his attacker. He just casually kept walking, noticing a few stares from those who happened to spot the little encounter. He didn't react them however.
He knew whoever it had been was probably going to come after him again. Whether noticeably or not was besides the point. He didn't really care, either. All he did care about was that he just wanted to get what he came for and get out of here. Not because of the attacker either. Just because he wanted to get out of here. But that didn't seem like that was gonna happen, as a few moments later he was cut off by who he automatically assumed was the one the knife belonged to. Judging by the cut on his cheek, his assumption was correct, as would be confirmed when he spoke.
Liam sized the guy up, memorizing his appearance in a few short moments so he could guarantee he could avoid him later on. Dark hair, red eyes, smug and sarcastic appearance. A pest. A walking flea if he had ever seen one. With a bit of a sigh he sidestepped and continued to walk past him. "My name isn't any of your business." he said flatly. "Go bother someone else, why don't you?"
Even if the other had gotten hurt, it was so surprising to have someone that knew how to catch his throw like that. Most would have just been able to dodge it let alone catch it and send it back his way. Ian wanted nothing more than to know more about the blonde who had managed to do something most could have only dreamed of. The one thing that he notice was that his bloodlust had all but disappeared from the thought that this one was better than he could have imagined. Finally it took him only a few minutes to single out the one who had showed off against his skills with the knives he found as a part of him rather than a simple weapon.
Ian had hardly even noticed the cut that the other had placed either as the other seemed to size him up. Ian had done his own sizing and the guy was good looking at least, but he also seemed like the type that came straight out of a book. He had on a suit and who wore that in something like this? His words also seemed to fall on deaf ears as the blonde seemed to ignore his words at first as he tried to sidestep him. Ian only smirked more as the other was playing hard to get. He loved when they played hard to get, cause that only made it better... and he loved it when it was better and harder that his prey would give him something worthwhile at the end.
"I would but, you seem to be the most interesting in this smug little town." he mused and followed him walking backwards. While it looked like he wasn't really paying attention the man definitely was. He made sure to keep a close eye that he didn't run into anything while seemingly walking without looking because most of his attention was on the other. "I could find out who you are you know, sometimes it's better that way. When you make me work for the prize at the end. I'm kinda infamous around these parts, as you probably told by your hand there." he mused motioning to the hand that had been cut by his earlier throw.
"Speaking of that... when did you learn to catch like that? Most would be so jealous of that gift, considering most of them wouldn't be breathing right now." the man mused. Oh the more he fought the more he would be encouraged to track down everything about him. Being a information broker gave you certain perks after all. Perks that most wouldn't even seem to care about, but having information was definitely something one should always have... because whoever had the most information held all the cards in this case.
"How bout a trade." he said opening his arms widely moving his coat with the gesture. "Your name, and... hmmm.. I'll answer any one question you ask me. But just one, it's only fair you know." he said suddenly stepping back in front of the other and leaning dangerously close to the blonde. "I'm sure there is something you want to know. " he mused. "And it doesn't even have to be about me, isn't that great?" he said leaning away now and laughing a bit like a crazy person. But hey, keep them guessing that was always a good idea.. always keep them guessing.

I WANNA HIDE THE TRUTH
[attr="class","httlyr"]I WANNA SHELTER YOU
Honestly Liam just wanted to be left alone. He didn't think that was too much to ask, ya know? Just don't bother him, and he won't bother you. It was a fair trade after all. It's not like he had anything to interest these thieves. Even if one did manage to kill him, what would they gain? A handful of Poke, three Pokemon that wouldn't obey them -- one of which would most likely just attack them -- and a couple of Pokeballs. Woo, so much wealth for one dead person. But, he was used to being poor, and none of that bothered him really.
Maybe next time he shouldn't wear a suit.
It wasn't like the blonde could say he was completely clear of any track record. He did have a small criminal past, and he did mean small. He used to steal things to survive with his brother. Fight when he had to. But that was really just about it other than a few other minor things. Oh, and killing his father, but let's not go there alright?
The annoying flea didn't seem to care about that though. The 'he's poor' part that is. Unfortunately it seemed he had drawn too much attention with him, and it really pissed him off. Maybe he should have just let him kill him, easier that way ya' know. Walking around him sadly didn't get him to leave him alone either. Was a shame, really. He just wanted to go shopping. Maybe he should call out Andrea and have her handle him. She certainly would, even if she wasn't attacking a Pokemon and was just attacking this man.
"Yay me." he responded sarcastically. He really wished he'd run into something, but he doubted that he would. "Go right on ahead, I don't care." He could look up whatever he wanted on him, and if he found something "juicy" he really didn't give two flying fucks. He didn't intend to come back to this town until he was able to join the Police Department. Maybe then he could arrest this guy.
"I'm starting to regret breathing right now." he answered flatly. He didn't respond to his question, because really, it was none of his business. He could just go do that researching thing he was talking about if he was that curious. It wasn't really all that big of a thing. He had to learn things like that to survive, end of story. He learned to sense bloodlust and danger. "I'm really not interested in having a conversation with you, you know. I couldn't care less even if a Poochyena came up and bit me on the ass."
He stopped walking though and for at least now, he gave him his attention. Wasn't like he had any choice, but maybe at least he could convince him enough to leave him alone on a later date if he ever did return. "Fine. My name is Liam." he replied. As for his question? Well, he had a few questions he could think of, but he wasn't all that interested in learning something about someone he never intended to see again. "My turn. Have you always been this big of a pain in the ass?"
Damian Arc NOTES: liam says he really didn't intend to be fun
BUT WITH THE BEAST INSIDE
[attr="class","httlyr"]THERE'S NOWHERE WE CAN HIDE
Well it seemed the other hadn't completely tried to kill him yet which was a good sign. Not that Ian minded either way, a fight wouldn't be completely bad.. it might even be a little interesting if he got into a fight with this one. He was surely skilled enough if nothing else, he could always rile the other up for a good warm up exercise. Just because he was mostly into the information business didn't meant that he couldn't get his natural work out going on. For now however, he wouldn't get the other one riled up too much considering he was playing nice for now. However, the minute the other one got out of hand that meant he was free game for Ian to use as another test subject if he wasn't one as it was right now.
"You are so lucky aren't you?" he replied with his own sarcastic banter back to the others response. Oh, that was something knew however as the other didn't mind if his past was dug into. Most people seemed to have one of two reactions when he mentioned it: 1. they freaked out and 2. they didn't seem to care. This one was part of the latter, and rarer of the two cases, so it only made him a more interesting target for Ian to keep his sight on. Even without that he knew that he would probably be keeping his eyes on the blonde for quite some time. Maybe his history could use a little digging regardless of whether he cared or not. Ian mostly found fun in it when people freaked out but maybe this one would be for his interest than because the other would find it crazy.
"Oh it can't be that bad, unless you're one of the ones that tries to get yourself killed on a daily basis. That coulnd't be completely true or you would have let me kill you a little bit ago. " he mused putting a finger to his mouth. When the other continued with his sarcastic vibe the raven simply clicked his tongue and waved his finger back and forth some before putting on a sly grin. "Now now, don't wish for things you don't wish to come true. Now what would happen if that poochyena did show up hmm?" he asked with a slight laugh at the end. Oh how this was becoming more and more amusing as the seconds passed by what was he going to do about this?
Oh? It was that easy to drag his name out was it? Maybe the blonde was stubborn, but not that stubborn considering it had only taken a deal to get the information out of the other. "Liam.. how ... interesting." he mused so that the other would know that he was listening. Then came the part for his side of the deal and Ian couldn't help but start laughing when the question did finally come from the other. "Oh what a nice question for your part. Only for one's like you~" he said with a bit of a song in his voice. After all, this would have never happened if the blonde hadn't of amused him more than he originally thought he would.

I WANNA HIDE THE TRUTH
[attr="class","httlyr"]I WANNA SHELTER YOU
There was only one thing that Liam hated more than violence, and that was annoying idiots. This man seemed to belong to that category, and he really wished he'd go away. There had to be someone else he could bother. Instead it seemed as if it was a game to this blackette. He knew he didn't really care one shit about him, so that made disliking him all the easier. He was just part of the common thug group around here, wasn't he? Well, maybe a bit above the common thugs, he was certainly more skilled, that much was obvious when he threw the knife. The blonde really didn't intend to find out much more than that though. He didn't even care to learn his name. That would just mean he was interested.
"Oh, very lucky. Whatever would I do without your interest?" he sneered. There was no fucks given if he found out about his past. Most likely there wouldn't be much record on him unless it was from his early days or the hospital visit with his twin, if even that. He might find a few little things, but for the most part no one had ever known who he was. His brother was smart enough to keep them out of that kind of trouble, whereas Liam was the one who could physically keep them out of that trouble. But even if he did find anything out, like about how he killed his father -- if the authorities had ever figured that much out -- or his little criminal acts, why should he care? Wouldn't ruin his life any. The former could easily be explained by self defense that went terribly wrong -- his father was abusive and hurt his twin. Simple enough. The rest were probably the least of any police departments concern, especially given the rabble around here. But if it was, it was also easily explained as surviving as a little kid who had no one to turn to. It was steal or die. He was sure most of the people around here weren't stealing because it was a life or death situation, but more of a "because I can" kinda thing.
"I tend to stay away from the likes of you," he said calmly, "so no. I don't go around trying to get myself killed. I'd rather it stay that way, if you don't mind? I'm sure you can find something better to do than bug me." No, he probably couldn't. He was way too amused with him for some damn reason the blonde didn't understand. Way too intrigued and way too curious for Liam's comfort. He just needed some damn food and supplies for crying out loud. "If a Poochyena actually showed up, then I still wouldn't give a rat's ass."
Liam didn't see why it mattered if he knew his name or not, so he didn't really care telling him that much. His name certainly wasn't interesting, he was sure there was at least one other Liam somewhere in this town. But if he hadn't told him the flea would probably just keep pestering him until he snapped so why not. "Yeah, interesting. And how lovely. I'm so glad I'm a special case." He tried to walk away yet again. Now that he knew his name, he shouldn't have any other questions right? He did say just one question.
"Do you like, mind going away now? I'd rather like to finish shopping."
The sarcasm that dripped from this guy was oh so amusing. The more sarcastic and violent he got the more Ian would just find interest in him. He had showed his interest from the beginning when the other had showed skill beyond the others in this place and that was enough for him. Instead it seemed that this one was going to play hard ball, but something was bugging him more than it probably should have. He was oh so familiar looking, yet Damian was sure he had never met this man before, he would remember such skill... but something else was bugging him right now and he couldn't put his finger on it.
So instead the raven was content to listen to his bickering about how he was annoying him cause it was cute to listen to and Damian didn't really worry much about it. "Die of boredom of course." he mused in reply to his sarcastic remark. He didn't need to say anything else cause despite whatever this one said. He knew that this was fun and the other was at least slightly amused even if he acted like a sour puss the entire time while he was doing it, Ian could handle that any day of the weak. A small whine came from him at the part about staying away from him. "Awwww, so mean when all I wanted to do was learn about you." he mused.
Ian grinned a bit wider now at the mention at a rat instead of poochyena. "Oh so we are looking for a rattatta then?" he asked following him absently now with his hands behind his back. Ian only mused more when he talked about being a special case and a small laugh came from him. "There are a slew of special cases, you're just a interesting special case." he mused knowing it would only annoy the blonde more. Ian hummed for a moment at his own question moving a finger to his mouth as if contemplating the answer. "And why would i do that.. i might miss something interesting."
