IS HE ALL THE THINGS YOU TRIED TO CHANGE ME INTO?  寂しい 。。。 Xander had come to agate for a couple of reasons, one being that he really wanted to see the agate relic that seemed shrouded in mystery. Even with everyone saying it was just rumors, Xander believed that all rumors had to come from somewhere. Something about a legendary pokemon Celebi was based here and that was enough to get him interested in the place. He liked going places that meant adventure! That meant one day he would be able to become a police officer just like his father, it was the entire reason he had come to Orre. There had to be things he could do here, considering there was so much crime in the region that there was anywhere else. He had only just looked at the agate relic, before a cry seemed to reach his ears. "Help! Someone help!" a cry came from just outside. Xander's ears picked up and his strong body moved quickly from the place moving quickly for such bulk. This was perfect, he could already help someone without really being an officer and that was just what he was going to do. "What's wrong?" he called coming out of the cave where the relic was only to run right into a flash of red. "Oaf!" he gasped but his body barely moved as a smaller thing collided into his body that he quickly tried to grab for. "You alright?" he had only managed before a few guys seemed t obe coming not far behind. "Thief!" the cry came. Xander blinked and seemed almost confused, a thief? But who had stolen? She didn't steal often. It was a survival technique that she had to take up after losing her mother. It was the only way to get by sometimes around this place even if it wasn't her favorite thing to do. Actually she hated doing it. She knew it was wrong but when she and her pokemon were hungry she'd take just a little to keep them going till the next time she could get a pay check. Being a researcher wasn't easy after all.
She really wasn't paying any attention when she fled the scene, better to run and not look back. Just keep going, keep them from catching you. That's what she was doing now but of course some had to come barreling down her way. Kinda big too, luckily she was small and dainty and the jump around was easy. She sped on past him without a word. She could hear the people behind her yelling about a thief but she didn't look back, no time for that, no looking.
Just keep running.

A small little thing had collided with him and then in a blink of an eye had sped right on past him. What.. even? The police officer wanna be didn't even have a moment to think it through before she was gone with the wind, and the people that were chasing her weren't far behind but this time he was a bit better off. The man frowned, and if that small little thing had stole there had to be a good reason right? "Hey wait a minute what did she take?" he said moving his body in front of the others chasing her. So maybe he couldn't stop the thief, but maybe he could rectify the situation. The all talked in too much, but a small frown crossed his face as hues glanced back to where he could still see a trace of the red head. He didn't have time to wait, cause maybe she still needed help. He did the first thing he thought of grabbing one of the pouches on his side and offering it to them. "Here, if it was worth more than this I'll pay the rest when I get back, now if you excuse me." he said before quickly running before they could even manage to say anything. Xander had to make sure he didn't lose sight of her, or if anything find out why she was stealing. "Hey miss wait!" he called as loud as he could. Dang, this little thing sure was a fast one, but as long as he could keep her in his vision he had a chance. For a moment she thought she'd lost them all with the guy that had gotten in her way. That would have been ideal but like with most things it did not go ideally and before long she could hear someone calling out after her. Last thing she wanted to deal with right now was someone being a persistent sort in chasing her down. She'd barely even taken anything just enough enough to grab a snack until she could pay her own meals again. It was bloody pocket change to the guy she'd taken it off of seeing as she'd watched him wave around way more than that before hand.
Bianca did not have time for this.
She was glad this was Agate, trees abound and she was a good climber. She made a point to slip around a few trees, she needed the illusion of disappearing into thin air. Right after rounding one she knew she could climb with ease she was up it in moments, hopefully she had calculated right and should have been on the side of the tree she wouldn't be seen from. As soon as she was in the upper branches she crouched next to the trunk behind the foliage, hiding from site. She went still, unmoving, waiting to see if she'd fooled him and he would pass her, continuing to search bellow.

Jeebus, he was sure this girl had won the gold medal by now, and maybe it only edged her on by chasing her. Probably not the smartest of his ideas, but even so all he wanted was to make sure she was okay. He had already paid the guys back, so there was no need for her to be afraid or run. That was all he wanted her to know, and if anything... he wanted to apologize. Maybe give her some of the extra he hadn't given the others, but honestly ... actually... speaking of the redhead.. where did she go? The cop wanna be had only just been in his thoughts for a moment and he had lost her. Granted there was a lot of trees in this forest as he slowed to a halt unknowing that she had found a perch above him. The man looked around slowly trying to find where she had gone.. and was having almost no luck whatsoever. "hey... where did you go?" he called scratching those blue locks of his. "You aren't in trouble!" he called as his voice almost echo'd among the tree line. "I already paid those guys back, so... you don't have to run. He slowed to a stop. Of course he slowed to a stop. That was her luck. And then he started talking. Great, just great.

What he said surprised her actually, that was something she had not been expecting when he opened his mouth, she still wished he hadn't stopped though. The last thing she wanted was someone actually know she was a thief of some kind. It was a bad habit, an old habit from living on the streets on her own and having no other way to feed herself and she wanted so bad to not let anyone know she did it.

Honestly he had sucked at it back when he was a kid and he was even worse at it now, he always looked in the wrong places, and never in the right ones. That was how all the kids tended to get around him and he never saw them again, or rather at least he didn't see them to the end of the game. This girl must have been a pro at hide and seek because his gut told him she was here, but he couldn't see or hear her. "ah man, i'm not good at this game." he groaned a bit. Rubbing the back of his head looked around again, hoping that he would see a glimpse of that red hair. He never really went too far hovering around the same place and always coming back where he started hoping she would come out. In the meantime he had started to hum the song where could she be, as he absently started to sing it as his hues looked for where the pretty girl had managed to run off to. He didn't go far enough for her to drop and book it, he didn't seem to bother checking anywhere else well enough to have actually found anything and when he started singing she had half a mind to waste a pokeball throwing it at her head. [break][break] She didn't of course but she'd been raised by a feisty woman and sometimes the bad habits she picked up when she was younger still cropped up. She needed to get out of there either way though before any more trouble could crop up. This was already going horribly compared to how she wanted it to go and she didn't like the idea of it getting worse. [break][break] the moment he got close enough under her tree she dropped off the branch right on top of him, partially using him to break her fall and partially to hinder him following her when she got up and started booking it through the trees. Honestly, he probably should have given up by now but that was a bit too soon. Scratching the side of his cheek Xander sighed a bit again and moved one hand on the side of his hip hoping that maybe she would either show up, or his stubbornness would give in to the hunger that was sure to come soon. A small yawn also managed to reach his lips as he moved back to the original spot he was before all of this had really happened. Maybe the girl was long gone by now, gotten past him in one way or the other. He honestly only hoped that she was alright and no one bothered her, at least that was on his thoughts until a light whoosh sound came up from the trees. Red orbs glanced up towards the trees before suddenly a flash of red caught his eyes and a sudden weight on his shoulders. A small yelp like sound came from the attacked man as he stumbled forward. So the woman wasn't heavy to him, by any means, but when one simply fell from the sky it was a little confusing and a bit not expected. On habit the man's hands moved to hold onto whatever he could to make sure him and whoever had just dropped on him didn't fall. One hand moved to the closest tree and the other to possibly hold on to whoever had fallen on him. "Jeez! Next time a little warning maybe? Though... don't mind if something so pretty fall in all the time. Though a possible, just droppin' by would be nice." he said with a small chuckle. DOES HE MAKE YOU CRY? Then again she hadn't gotten too good a look at him so it wasn't that much of a surprise. Most guys were pretty big compaired to him but she didn't have time to dwell on that if she was going to get away before he got hold of her. She sprung off his shoulders with ease, years of being on the streets and having to navigate city terrain showing off. [break][break] Of course he was talking again as she did, Bianca wasn't about to answer him though she was a little surprised. The guy was persistent she could give him that much as least. Hard to phase. If she'd had time to bother responding to him personally she might have punched him in the nose for that stupid cliche pretty thing remark. [break][break] Bianca stared at him for a moment, giving him a weird look before doing exactly what she'd planned to do from the beginning, making another mad dash away from this guy who was apparently not interested in letting her get off easy.
