Born to a family of police officers it wasn't hard for Ayane to find her life goal at a very young age. Looking up to her parents who were both on the force instilled her with the drive to be the very best she possibly could. Usually this is the part of the 'tragic backstory' where you're informed that her parent's were shot in the line of duty, instilling some sort of tragic mindset that she needed to get vengance on the villians who had done so. Fortunately there was no such incident. She grew up in a happy and healthy home with both of her parents.

School was fun for her and while she didn't exactly excel in most things she enjoyed it. Especially the athletic portions of her classes. Sure she probably couldn't tell you what nineteen times thirty five was but if you wanted her to do the wall climb then she'd be in the harness and ready to go in minutes. As she got older though she began to get more restless. Wanting to get on the road with her own sort of adventure to try and become the very best of the best. Just like both of her parents.

It wasn't long after the restlessness set in that her parents started taking her around the nursery. Everyone knew that every police officer needed a good Pokemon by their side. She didn't exactly get attached to the standard Police Pokemon but her parents couldn't help but approve of her choice. Setting off with Torkoal was the first steps in fufilling her destiny!
