As a boy who was just shy of ten years old, he couldn't wait to start his adventures as a Pokémon trainer and his friends and his parents didn't hear the end of it, the boy was simply that geared up and eager to start his adventures. When it came time to head out, his first stop was at Professor's Lab where he got his he picked out his Mudkip out of the three starters to pick from. When asked if he wanted to name his new Pokémon, Eli stood there for all of two minutes then with a smile, he nodded and said the Mudkip's name was now Aitan, generally the first thing to really pop into his head that he liked, the Professor laughed and agreed that it was a fine name. After that, the Professor had given him a few balls, his custom Pokedex that Eli's dad had pre-ordered for him and had been sent on his way!

Instead of heading out right after, he went back home to show his mom and dad his new friend and companion, Aitan! They were happy for their child and had given Eli money to start him off for his journey. Having through he was all set and ready to go, his dad stopped him before he darted out the door and presented him with a pokeball. Told Eli that inside was a Poochyena and had taken the opportunity to give the little pup a name. Eli was giddy, grinning from ear to ear as he pocketed the pokeball snug by his first Pokémon and with a parting hug and kiss from his mom and a hug from his dad, young Eli West was out the door and out to start his travels through out Hoenn and the rest of the world with his friends Aitan and Jinsoku!

As Eli undergone his journey as any budding trainer did, he grew up and at some point his spark for the journey he dreamed about since he was a kid, the dream and desire he wouldn't shut up about faded when his Mudkip, Aitanhad fallen very ill despite taking the best care of Aitan as he could. Eventually he had to leave the little guy at a Pokemon center where they'd said they would treat the Mudkip and let a humble person adopt his first Pokemon to live the rest of its life comfortably since its health stopped it from traveling no more. After that, Eli was left with his Poochyena, Jinsoku and from there...they left Hoenn and ended up in a region of peace. It seemed like a place Eli could spend the rest of his days, or least til he finds his spark again to continue his childhood journey.
