Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

Maiya had not intended to return to the port until her departure from the region, which would only occur after she had found the sculpture she was after. However, woopers had to go and start swarming around the port and as much as Maiya hated water types and all that they stood for the wooper wasn't a half bad pokemon. It was also a ground/water like her mudkip and had a chance to be a decent thing to have around. Not her favorite still but fine, she would relent. [break][break] Maiya was taking a lot of deep breaths as she made her way through the port. She'd get that wooper one way or another, preferably sooner rather than later. Something glimmered in an alley way and Maiya decided to take a break from the ocean view and look into it, making a point to turn her back to the ocean. She was okay with what she found other than the ball. The stone could be useful but of course it was a net ball, she never got her hands on them normally because she didn't need them, didn't like either it worked on. Maybe she'd use it on the wooper when she found it though seeing as it'd be a rare moment to use such a thing. [break][break] The items were pocketed and she went on her way. "Hey those are mine!" [break][break] Maiya turned and sighed. Just a kid probably being a snot nosed brat to get shit that wasn't his wouldn't be the first time she saw it. "Bugger off." [break][break] The kid didn't seem to take lightly to the comment and threw out a gulpin. "You look like an oddish and you give me a gulpin to work with? really? That's it? You know what? fuck it, you're going down oddish." she was getting a little too agitated by the water in the location. Then again it was always something that made her irritable like this. [break][break] It was obvious Vincent was keen on battling as always but he stood up straight and prepared to try, for maiya at least. "Astonish" it was a good enough start, the move seemed to startle the gulpin at least a little which gave the pokemon an opening to stomp all over thing, whatever it was. She never paid any attention to gulpins. It tried to respond with a pound attack but vincent responded with a confusion which the gulpin proved to be weak too, it migth have yawned at vincent but he was already readying another confusion, which was enough to defeat the pokemon. [break][break] The kid ran away with his pokemon crying and maiya huffed, returning vincent to his ball before making her way through the port again, looking to that stupid wooper. Maiya had no time for the next guy that bumped into her. None at all, she needed to find that wooper before she had a panic attack because of the water. The last battle was fine whatever but this guy wasn't happening. He insisted, even let out a pokemon. She probably could have let Vincent beat it easy but that wasn't what she was here for. It wasn't Maiya that picked up the pokeball, rather the pokemon at her side spotted it and recalled the item from back at the inn when she had showed him the one she put him in so he could come with her. He had no idea how they worked but he knew they needed them for more like himself to be able to come with them. He carried the ball along in his mouth at his trainers side, perhaps it could be useful once they found the thing they were after? whatever that way.
