June was the oldest of three sisters, and they lived in poverty on a ranch on a hill. Their mother and father did their best to provide a wonderful life, but circumstances were harsh with their delicate financial position. June took up a strong leadership role over her two sisters (May and Augustine), which came natural for her, especially since she was the eldest. Even as a youngster, her nickname was cemented as "Mother", and it stuck with her through childhood. On the ranch, they produced dairy products, raw wool, produce, and pokemon berries.

June loved all the pokemon that visited their location for the berries. She befriended a linoone and an aipom this way. The girls grew and dated and went to school. May was the only one to attempt college, but dropped out when she got married. All three moved to a different big city, and Augustine and June both found love soon after. Their genetics proved ripe for children and each sister had at least one child. May worked as a pokemon researcher assistant, Augustine worked as emergency services switchboard, and June was fortunate enough that her husband, Richard, made enough as a pokeball manufacturer worker that she did not need to work, and stayed at home to raise their single child, Morte. Meanwhile, June's Linoone had a litter of zigzagzoom, but Morte was too young to appreciate the event. Aipom continued on as a well-behaved pet. Later, when Morte was a young boy, Linoone had a second litter, and he enjoyed playing with the pups until they could all be found other homes.

Morte grew and moved on with his life as a dental hygienest, and June and her husband Richard adjusted to their new life as seniors. Aipom passed away in old age first (he had grown quite cranky), and then later Linoone. Morte visited often, then visited them with a young lady, then with a fiance, then with a wife and his newborn, Nicholas. Richard passed away peacefully soon after.

Now, Morte still visits occassionaly with his wife Sally and his son, Nicholas (June's grandson), who is now five. June keeps in close contact with her two sisters, and they talk on the phone for hours as profuse and helpless gossipers. June takes care of her cottage where she lived with her husband and raised Morte.

Thrust into adulthood at such an early age by circumstances and environment, June missed her life on the ranch. Now with nothing else to do but manage her cottage and prank call her two sisters, also widows, now, June saught the adventure she missed and longed to begin her own journey. It was tough for her to choose between trainer or breeder, but she liked the idea of being good at one thing instead of half-assing two. Realizing she'd never trained either of her befriended pokemon, she felt her life was more suited towards breeder, especially given her former Linoone had two litters.

To start her journey, she went outside, and picked two particular bugs that had been plaguing her favorite tree, and had grown lax and fat. She hated them both. Happy to be rid of her daily squawking commotion about the bugs being bugs, a neighbor helped her to catch them.
