Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

big grin decorated her face as she gathered up the pokeball containing a very rare shiny pokemon. She dusted it on her arm, but it disappeared. She started to protest, but for one, she remembered about the six pokemon rule and how extras were automatically put in her PC, and for two a young man decorated in red had come barreling through the room, panting.
"Tell me you didn't - you did! ", he seemed very upset. "Oh, it's ON NOW, WOMAN!," he shouted at her. "That was my pokemon! I was stalking him for hours and trying to befriend him and you and your stupid bug come and catch him right outta my grip. "
"He must not have wanted to be your friend if it took several hours and you still didn't finish the task.", she countered.
"You little!", he didn't finish, and just tossed all his pokemon balls to the ground, and four pokemon popped out. Oh, a battle. So that's the way it was going to be.
As she studied the opponent's pokemon, mentally mapping out type effectiveness and planning which of her pokemon would attack which, she found herself wondering about the vulpix egg in her pack, when it would hatch, and what the vulpix would be like, and if she really wanted a second fire-type to her party.

"Phew," she panted, feeling as if she had exerted herself even though she had only mostly watched her pokemon fight on their own. Giving commands each round was too noisy for her, mostly her pokemon knew how to use their own moves effectively by now.
The trianer had been defeated, and he sulked. "You old woman! You cheated! You're a filthy lying cheater and I hope you go die alone in a hospice somewhere!," he projected his own insecurities as he gathered up each of his pokemon with his pokeballs and stuffed them back into his belt. He seemed more bothered by his own words than she could ever be.
he turned to her pack and crooned in a babyish language about how cute the vulpix egg was and how glad she was that she had won the battle . But she barely had time to gloat, because the little boy wasn't winning, and he stood just as fiercely as when he had started battling. She began to say something snarkly yet educational about what he should do when another young man came running down the hall and stopped beside the smaller boy.
"Did you catch it?"
"No, I tried to befriend it because they are my favorite and this old lady comes around and catches it.", the little boy explained to the bigger boy, who on second look, seemed to be a fisher man, not a boy.
"Alright lady, you're gonna pay for making my kid brother upset.", he had turned to her now.
"Oh dear," she sighed.
The sailor released five pokemon, and as she studied them, she knew she'd need all of her pokemon, and her nincada was in bad shape. She took out a potion and applied it to nincada.
Then she released her luvdisc and directed each pokemon to stand opposite one of the opponent's until she was satisfied with their lineup. The man rolled his eyes, impatient, but humoring her as if she were half crazy. She ignored him and took full advantage of his patience. When she was satisfied, she directed her pokemon to start the battle.

The battle felt to stretch out forever, and she was grateful for the type effectivenesses she had put together, but the sacrificies she'd made to obtain them dragged on the time. Finally, Mudkip dealt the last tackle blow to the onion-loving loon and the battle was over.
"Well, shoot lady. I guess if you wanted him that bad you can have him. Nothing we can do now, after all. Comon' my little bro, let's go find another one.", he wrapped an arm around his little brother and the two left the room.

he last battle had sapped her energy, and as she began to want to sit down for some rest, she looked around and saw nothing comfortable. Both the man and boy she had defeated turned to look behind them, and two floating pokeballs emerged. The two cursed to themselves and were in a hurry to leave. Curious about the pokeballs, Mother Hubbard took a step forwards and craned her neck to see. With a free hand, she absentmindedly stroked the occupied egg compartment containing the vulpix egg.
"My psychic senses heard a battle on the horizon. ", the man began, tossing back his cape with photogenic energy.
"I don't want to battle anymore, go away.", she snapped at him, tired.
"I-", he began, puffing his chest. "Wait, what?", he was astonished. "That's not the way this works. I looked at you, so I get to decide who battles, and I say you battle with me and give my pokemon some money. I'm broke lady, I want a latte.", his voice had changed, deflated, even.
"Oh go pour a latte up your butt, we just got done with two battles and this old lady is freakin' tired. Oh wait, no, I forgot, that's a latest trend with the youngsters. Whatever, mister, go stick a coffee cup up your butt and leave us alone. It'll cost the same amount, be just as painful, and not take as long."
The man's lip quivered for a moment, and then he plopped down on his butt and sat for a few moments, silently, fiddling with some rocks. Gradually, he made the rocks rise and orbit around him, before picking one up and examining it. Mother Hubbard eyed him, and sat down, crossing her arms frigidly. The man continued to fiddle for quite some time, and then at last rose to his feet.
"Okay, you've rested long enough, we're battling now because I still want that latte, and it will NOT be going up my butt, thank you very much."
She sighed and rose. "Fine, but all the pokemon will be battling at once, not one pair at a time."
"Fine.", he tossed out all his pokemon. She tossed out all hers. They lined up, and the battle began.

other Hubbard pocketed the won coffee money, a big, shit-eating grin still on her face as she celebrated her victory in her head, and with the audible steps of the magician failing. If her hearing wasn't so awful, she might have heard some other steps, too, but all she heard were the disapointed cries of two boys.
She turned her head slightly and saw a shadowy figure pass them. She instructed her mudkip to go after the shadow, and put the rest of her pokemon away. Soon, her muddy pokemon had cornered the thing, an obscurely colored Hitmonchan. "Let's catch it. Knock it out, mud-doggie.", she instructed her pokemon, and battle commenced.

Although its display was impressive, she had no intention of using it because of its miscoloring. She had another humanoid pokemon she'd captured earlier here and was slightly disappointed when the pokedex pointed both their genders as males.
Just then, a sleep-crazed woman with a forest of purple hair entered and flung out all her pokemon for battle. She mumbled something about shopping and about the hitmonchan she'd caught, but the rest of the words and tones were simply too low for her after-market hearing aid to pick up. She sighed and released the rest of her pokemon, too, leaving the Vulpix egg in her pack. She applied a potion to Nincada because it looked too tired to her to continue, though the rest of her pokemon were quickly approaching that point. It might be time soon to leave this place.
She pondered her options, and considered the Colosseum.
"Lady, I can't make out a word you said, but sure, we'll battle. After all, you did look at me and that states we have to battle now,", she sighed at her own sarcasm and the idiocy that she perceived as the trainer's battling code.
