Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

he'd continued on to Agate Village, and rested there. She was lucky enough to obtain a Numel from a limited event, and felt conflicted on where to put it in her team. Then she'd found Numel and Houndour eggs. It was easy to figure out who the adultering culprits had been, but dealing with the hotel's housekeeping was much more complicated. It took some explanations and enduring of several maid's stank-eye glares along with tips before she could leave, delaying her progress. She found a trainer who liked one of her eggs and traded it for a vulpix egg, a pokemon she didn't have.
When she put the egg into her party, she set out into the desert. She forgot all about the Numel (again) and didn't fret anymore over leaving out any pokemon. The two other eggs were left inside her PC as she already had those pokemon and didn't see the point in raising an army of the same pokemon. Although it might be entertaining to have a flock of houndour guarding her ranch property, she could see how it might be more trouble than it was worth.
She'd packed plenty of water for her and her pokemon, even if there was a leak and plenty of physical exhertion. The route she took was a worn-down road and not well marked on the map, but she felt confident it would get her to the next town. She had been able to see its flickering lights from her hotel in Agate Village and no one had been able to explain what or why.
The mansion she'd explored previously hadn't been haunted, nor scary, so she doubted this place would be any hassle for her.
The facility seemed in a state of disrepair, and she'd spotted several exposed and chewed wires. Most of the doors she found were guarded by keycards, but she had found a wire fence that had been torn through enough for her to hunch over to pass through. Between the many garbage pails of assorted colors was a landing and door with no keycard. A door that had no apparent lock. A door that was open.
She opened the door and stepped inside, giving her eyes time to adjust to the sparse lighting and strange smell. While she did that, she took a few moments to adjust her backpack, her water containers, and then especially checked the vulpix egg in her backpack, nestled with insulated stuffing and carefully placed. Finally, she decided to unleash a pokemon she could trust, so she let out her Nincada, one of the two pokemon she had started this adventure on. The pokemon was ugly, but had earned her trust. Once the pokemon had materialized, it looked up at her, questioningly, touched a few things with its mandables, and then fell in step two paces behind her.
"Good bug. Be on the look out for anything unpredictable. I wanna see what monkey business is going on in this funky place. I bet you somebody took a shit a year ago, never flushed, and it's been fermenting all this time."

he spotted a light off in the distance and prepared herself for an encounter with some sort of ghost. The light came closer, and she could hear footsteps. "Who's a good dot, yes he is, yes he is!", the footsteps croned.
"Hello?", she called out.
"Who's there!", the voice called back, that of a man.
"Me.", she answered.
The man stepped into a hallway where she could see him, a flashlight in his hand, and a seedot at his feet. "And does this 'me' have their identification card?"
"What, of course. My driver's license is in my purse."
"Shucks lady, you're not supposed to be in here and the one question I'm allowed to ward you of with you answered in a way I can't bust you for. I'm inspecting this building for real estate resale. What are you doing in here?"
"Looking for pokemon."
"All you'll find are rats. I can't tell you to leave, but I recommend you do, before the rats get you and your cute little rich kitties."
"Cute little rich kitties - hey, who do you think you are?"
"Ron How, Division 2 Unit Alpha of Real Inspection, the largest inspection firm on the continent."
"That's no way to talk to a lady, mister."
"I can talk to you any way I want to, poochikins, or you can come home with me tonight and I can talk to you on my pillows.", he grinned devilishly.
"In your dreams, mister!", her arm bumped the bulge of the vulpix egg in her purse as she dug for a pokeball and released it, more haphazardly than anything else.
"Oh? Fiesty are we? I'm not going to let you bully my cute lil' Dotty like that. You gotta go through my brick walls. And if I win, I'm takin' you with me back to my home, and if you win, oh, saaaaaaay - "
" - And if I win, you're going straight to the pokemon center to get your moth and brain washed out!", she spat back, interrupting him and proposing her own terms.
The man pulled out the other pokemon on his belt, and an aron and sneasel appeared next to the seedot. The Sneasel pulled at some loops around Ron's belt and pulled out its own tool belt, as if preparing to go to work. The Aron did the same and pulled out a hard-helmet from a pouch. The seedot watched the other two and adjusted hits acorn top.
She pulled out two more pokemon and released them. Three pairs of pokemon stood to fight. She quickly re-arranged two of her pokemon and the old man laughed.
"Didn't take you for a geeky nerd, miss. You'll still lose, rearrange all you like.", the inspector taunted. "Fact is, I'm going to enjoy my afternoon break watching you lose."

"There, you see old man! You lost. And you can ask me out on a date when you learn some manners.", she smirked.
The inspector grumbled, gathered his pokemon and fallen tool items, and returned to where he was before, presumably to continue working.

here was mostly peace and quiet outside of the inspector's footsteps as he continued down another hall and seemed to begin opening and closing various things, including clicks and squeaks and other sounds of spaces explored. If this place so much as had a magical dust bunny, he'd find it. She began to wonder why dust bunnies weren't pokemon as she continued down the corridor and turned the opposite direction as he had gone.
She saw a wall with large glass windows peeking out into rows upon rows of devices with wires. A server room. She spotted movement and quickly scurried inside the room, only to find it was a teddiursa. The bear tensed up, preparing for battle. She retracted her other two pokemon, leaving out only Nincada.
"We didn't have to fight, but since you're going to, I guess I don't have a choice. Nincada, you could use the training.", her bug was the weakest of the bunch.

She wondered what she would do with this pokemon since she had so many already and decided it could go back on her ranch, with the others, if she caught it successfully.
She looked at her Nincada. Nicada looked at her. She couldn't exactly praise the bug, because it was so ugly, had eaten her trees when it was wild, and because it was a bug. So she settled for shrugging. "That was okay, I guess, but really long."

hen the dust had settled, those overgrown bunnies in this forgotten, odd place, the pokeball had stopped shaking. She went to pick up her pokeball, but as she did, she saw that there were two pokeballs instead of one, exactly identical. She stared at it for a few moments, the sudden identical twins.
"You're either good luck or this place is creepy.", she muttered to herself aloud and to the pokeball containing the teddiursa she just captured.
She reluctantly picked up one ball, and then the other, weighing them in her hand. One was heavier, and that one would be Teddiursa's container. As soon as she did, it disappeared, being teleported to her PC, but it still gave her a start of fright to realize her pokemon was gone and she didn't know why.
"Good little ugly bug", she praised the nincada absentmindedly. In response, the Nincada practically glowed, beaming pride and chittering rapidly and happily. She looked down at the foaming, mouth-moving thing and made a disgusted, frightened sound. The nincada stopped immediately, saw her expression, and ceased it's noises, looking dejected.
he followed the path of the room, following rows upon rows with a very far exit in sight. Ahead, she spotted some light flicker, and continued forwards to investigate. As she did, she spotted what looked to be the inspector, a black form with hands, inspecting various wires, shove the wires in his face, and electrocute himself. Stunned, she froze as the light lit up a human face that wasn't very human at all.
"Inspector...?", she said aloud, having no idea why his face suddenly had stripes, why he appeared to be eating computer wires, why he was electrocuting himself, or how he'd even gotten ahead of her when he was somewhere in the opposite direction to begin with.
"Buzz!", it said, peering out between two fistfulls of groped wires that sparked when they neared frazzled ends.
"I remember you, you're that rockstar's pokemon-", she started to say, remembering the trainer who'd wanted to battle.
The electabuzz stepped out now, seemingly hulking with the little light available. He grabbed another fistfull of wires and popped them into his mouth as if they were candy. They produced dim crackles of light like so many fireflies as he did so.
"Hey, I know it's old but you don't have -", she started to say, but was interrupted by an orb of light that grew around her, and then arched in the air, jagged straight edges of light, straight towards her.
Nincada jumped into the line of fire, taking the hit, and the battle was on. Apparently the electabuzz didn't like criticism. As they battled, she realized that this electabuzz couldn't be the one she saw, this one was a different color. A weird color. A shiny.
"Ooooouuuu...", she said aloud to herself, readying a pokeball.
