As Lace followed the voices down the hallway, she felt her pace quickening. The hellos were getting louder and louder. She saw Ragdoll abruptly stopped on front of a door, causing Lace to also come to a sudden hault. "In here?" she questioned as she lifted the lantern up to get better lighting. She placed her hand on the doorknob and attempted to open it. Her nose twitched once as she came to the realization that it wasn't going to budge. "It's locked....." her voice trailed off with disappointment.

As Kamil lead the group down the hall the hello's got louder. Once they got to the end of the hall he stopped. "What do you mean its locked? Kamil couldn't believe it, so he tried himself. "Oh so it is. Maybe there is a key somewhere around here. Does anyone have one that they found here?" Kamil began feeling around the edges of the door looking for one, as well as on both sides of the door. "Look for anything that has been moved recently too, with less dust basically." Maybe there was someone stuck inside, and that was it's way of calling out for help, but either way he thought was definitely something on the other side and was determind to open it.

"Look for a key?" Lace over at her wide-eyed ghost. Her vision was going to be better than theirs, even with the lantern. Ragdoll somersaulted herself once in circle before turning around and examining the dark corner of the hallway for something key-like. She tried to do what the other trainer asked and look for something that had less dust, but as far as she was concerned, everything looked equally dusty. If this place hadn't been occupied in a while it would make sense that everything was old and dusty, but that certainly wouldn't explain how the things calling out to them had managed to stay here for so long. "Are there other doors?" she asked out loud to no one in particular. Maybe there was one up further that wasn't locked, or at the very least contained something useful.

, she asked aloud, as she didn't believe pokemon capable of the verbal greetings she was hearing. It was plenty creepy. The doors that the noises came from were locked. Hmm. "If those are wooden doors, a good Water Gun will soak the wood and a good Tackle should break through the balsa particle board.", she supposed to her Luvdisc, ordering it to attack the door. She imagined the door would be like a cheap house door, a particle board on both sides and hollow in the middle. The luvdisc did exactly that, soaking the door and then tackling it. But if the door was solid, or steel, or some other material, the poor fish didn't stand a chance for anything but a headache. . COLD AS ICE that's how I treated you As he walked into the supposedly abandoned shadow pokemon lab, it became obvious to Tristan that several people might have already beaten him there. Moreover, he wouldn't be surprised if he were the only person coming from Phenac City – considering the fact that the desert city was quite far away from the forest village. Still, the thought of what could possibly be going on in there frightened him greatly. Even if that notice hadn't been sent out, Tristan knew that he would have come to the lab eventually if only to confirm that nothing was going on. He could hear more and more voices as he made his way further into the lab – but it had been his vulpix that had spotted the group that had gathered together. The sight was almost enough to make him laugh – trying to break through a door with water? In a hi-tech lab like this, the chances of that door being made of water were slim to none. For a few minutes, he kept his distance in order to think about the best way to include himself. Lace kept her eyes on the task of looking for something that wasn't covered in dusk and side-stepped to the right to avoid getting hit by the Luvdisc's spray of water. She hadn't really payed attention to what the door was made out of, but they'd find out soon enough on depending on whether or not the old women's plan was going to work. "If you need help, I can try to tackle the door too," she offed to the Luvdisc. The Pokemon looked pretty small and frail. Lace might not have been much help but her body weight was certainly large than the water Pokemon's. The voices were still coming out of the door, so at least she knew that whatever was inside hadn't gone elsewhere. She looked over at where Tristan was with wide eyes. Maybe he had a point, but it didn't hurt to try.

Kamil heard the words from someone talking about the door most likely not being made of wood. "It's definitely made of metal. I have ways of getting through it. We should try to get it really hot, then cool it down with cold water, then tackle it." This idea worked in theory to him. They had a old black smith in the village so he knew a little bit about it. "So who has fire types and who has water types?"

Aside from himself, there were very few people that his vulpix was willing to follow – and she certainly wasn't one of them. That attitude wasn't going to get them anywhere, though. Not bothering to apologize, Tristan commanded his vulpix, "You heard the lady, Vesta. Use ember on those doors right now!"Quickly, his trusty vulpix followed his command. As she did her best to shoot embers toward the doors, Tristan directed his attention toward the woman that had tried to command his pokemon earlier.
