"Eh? Nah, she's just going through a rough patch at the moment. She's all fine if ya just give her a few hours." More like a few days. This blasted bug was still having a war with herself. Same old song and dance, yet she couldn't find the time to switch up the tune in her head and move to a different beat. Still, out of the two, she was totally the least threatening of the bunch.
She and Eustace were the first to turn around, hearing an elderly voice. Scratching the back of his head, with a quick glance to the other men, Eustace stepped forward. "I got this." An arm was extended towards Arcelia, telling her to stay put.
"You got grandkids? They ever play a game called Cops 'N Robbers? Well, we're just doing a bit of that, y'see. We're... re-enacting a scene from a book I read. I can't remember the title, but I know it's really dated. Found it when I was working a library in a place called Saffron. Of course, they had different Pokemon than ours..."
To say Arcelia's guard dropped was one thing. Turning to the steel bird and the flower, the look in her eyes stated the most obvious thing. What the hell?

He had to give the guy points for thinking on his feet, Endric could appreciate a little improve at times like this and if they old lady was kept yapping over battle and causing a ruckus then even better.
"It's what we get for taking acting classes to fill up credits, re-enact an event from something and film it. Sadly we chose one that happened at night and the guy that was supposed to bring the camera-" Endric eyed Cass. "Forgot the camera and we were just trying to figure out how we'd salvage the night. We're really sorry if we caused too much of a ruckus ma'am." He knew how to play along, even gave the lady an apologetic smile from where he stood, hoping she'd buy the lie before ones of the others could open their big mouths and screw it up.

"Noted." Cass still made sure to stay a couple steps away from the grumpy bug with scythe for hands, mainly just to be safe.
When the two others decided to go on with the improve to get the older lady off their back, although he was kinda thrown off by the look that Endric gave him. Of course he would make him that sort of guy, so he let out a small sigh,"I already said sorry about that, didn't mean to leave it at that cafe." He added, on followed by a small huff as he crossed his arms. Just hopefully they could avoid some unwanted attention or battle, cause that would just be swell.
Lambda on the other hand glanced over at the group, before back at the other two pokemon and did his best to shrug at the trainer's attempt. He had no idea if it would work, but at this point didn't really care.

Well she guessed there wasn't too much she could do considering they put on quite the performance. The lady finally smiled and laughed a little moving to pat the smaller of the three who had left the "camera" they had been talking about. "Isn't alright lad, just a bad memory like me. You'll do better next time I'm sure" she said waving her hand at the three. "Stay out of trouble gentlemen!" she called going back about her business.
With that out of the way it seemed the path was clear to the shrine. Hopefully no one else would be getting in there way, someone had brought something to take the shrine down... right? |

Endric waited long enough to be sure the old lady was far enough out of earshot she wouldn't hear anything and then commented in a hissed whisper. "Now let's try this again only quieter boys." to say that he was a bit displeased by the current situation would have been an understatement. At the rate they were going he just wanted to get it done and over with before the everything fell apart at the very end.
"Get moving." Endric was already headed down a path he knew would lead them up towards the shrine, discreetly mind you. And he made a point to walk quietly, though he had to pick up Ivalice who was too busy clapping her roses together over their performance to realize she needed to be following Endric. "If anything goes wrong now I'll have your heads." the comment was said under his breath, but it wasn't wrong.

A smile and wave was returned to the older woman. The act had worked like a charm, though a visit to this cafe was probably needed. If she talked to anyone about it, on that rare occasion her memory cranked up the gears, that camera would become a problem.
Still, it was fifty-fifty on the hope scale, and now they needed Lady Luck as well. Endric's words were responded with a quick salute, "Aye aye, sir," and he and Arcelia followed him down the trail. His bag was still over his shoulder, and a little heavier now. There was nothing inside the portable locker that could've gotten the job done, and so Arcelia was chosen for this purpose.
Her combat style, paired with her apparent bloodthirsty hatred towards what seemed to be JUST men... There was a chance she could cleave this thing in two.

Even if the ones who were supposed to bring something to deal with this little issue turned out to be dunces and incapable of even doing that Endric wasn't worried, they'd break into a house and he'd improvise. He always aced his science classes anyway and was more than willing to deal to mix a few choice house chemicals together to make a nifty little boom to help things along. Actually any other day he would have done that just because.
Having scoped out the village long before the plan had begun Endric already knew the swiftest way to tho the cave leading to the shrine, he had a flashlight in a pocket to make sure they could navigate it without worry, at this point it was all a matter of being quiet and quick on their feet.
Endric was good at both.
