Being born in the rather quiet Courmaline City in the Kalos region, Guillermo didn't really live the most luxurious lifestyle mainly because of the his family's professions. His father was a pokemon breeder, while his mother was more inclined in the creative arts.

Before you even ask though, yes the rest of his siblings did end up with some outlandish names, which mostly prompted them to all resorting to nicknames or just officially changing their names. It was for the better good, that's for sure.

Well, Guillermo on the other hand didn't really know of a good way around his name, so instead he just rolled with whatever people called him. Because a little meek, shy boy witha stutter wasn't going to talk back to that at all.

Goofy names aside, Guillermo spent most of his youth either playing with the Pokemon on the farms, mainly because for a painfully shy boy it was the best he could do to interact with things aside from well... himself. Also talking to Pokemon was slightly more acceptable then talking to yourself, so there was also that. This kinda continued throughout childhood, it was either studies or hanging out with the family's herd. His parent's simply thought it was a phase for their youngest child.

Uhhh, yeah that didn't turn out to be the case. Over the years, it only really got worst. Guillermo's social skills were the pits, as he was mostly this overly shy boy that stutters whenever he talks to people, and does whatever what he is told without much back-talk. The definition of spineless.

On the other hand, his older brother managed to beat the pokemon league challenge and even managed to get himself on the Elite Four, while his sister became a Physician. All while, Gilly is too shy to even deal with most people, but at least he did manage to pick up a hobby; which was caring for the family's Pokemon and cooking the house meals. That was about it, and even then he couldn't handle compliments so that was a different ordeal when his family said things.

His father eventually got tired of his lack of a spine, and bought Guillermo a ticket to Orre to help the poor guy develop as an functional person. Sadly, Orre wasn't the first choice that Guillermo would have picked, you know because of all of the terrible things he heard about the place.

So now the poor guy is clutching onto his belongings everywhere he goes, while doing his best to become a breeder.
