Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-title1"] Character clases
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-quipline"] So, how do you feel about pokemon?
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
Here on MDH we have 3 different classes your character can end up in. These groups are divided according to how your character feels about pokemon and what their goals with them. The three classes are Trainers, Breeders and Researchers.
While a character's class may also be their occupation (such as a breeder being a pokemon breeder as a career) this doesn't have to be a case. A Baker may be under the breeder class because they enjoy bonding with and breeding pokemon while a waitress may fall under the trainer category because she enjoys battling pokemon when she gets off from work.
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Root classes & sub classes
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
All characters may have a main class and a sub class. The main class is what your character is when they begin their time on the site. This main class is also the only one they may acquire new ranks for. This bulk of the class perks they receive will be from this main class. The sub class is just as the name implies, more or less the character's second choice. Your character may not gain new ranks for the sub class and will get less buffs from it but can still be worth their while. For example, only breeders may breed pokemon for eggs so sub classing into the breeder class will allow other classes to breed too!
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Root perks & Sub perks
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
All classes have perks that are determined according to the class and what it revolves around. Your root class gives you the most perks and can be changed by obtaining new ranks. In some cases it's an upgrade and other times its a trade off for a new perk. Your root class will always have one perk that stays with the character no matter what rank they are while the second one changes. [break][break] The first root perk listed for every class is their fixed perk, this perk will not go away nor change even if a character increases in rank. [break][break] Sub classing into another class will get you a perk from that class, it will be a single perk and you may not upgrade your second one as you cannot gain ranks in your subclass. While this is a much smaller perk it can still be used to your advantage and give your character's access they might not have had before.
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Rank ups
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
By reaching certain requirements and thresholds a character can increase the standing of their root class only. Some ranks have special requirements as well as posting thresholds that must be reached to access a rank. The ranks offer different perks from the basic point of the class and the other ranks. You are not required to rank up when you hit the threshold, or ever if you would rather not. [Break][break] You must reach 50 posts before ranking up and subclassing begins. [Break][break] You may either rank up or subclass after every 25 posts past 50. (50 posts, 75 posts, 100 posts, 125 posts, etc...) [break][break] You may only claim one at each post count benchmark.

[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-title1"] The trainer class
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-quipline"] Put up yer dukes, we'll see who's stronger
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
Trainers value strength and a pokemon's ability in battle. They focus on training their pokemon to be the strongest possible and are often seen taking challenges, be they from other trainers or going to the Colosseums to prove their strength. Trainers are often one of the biggest classes due to their devotion to strength and many people fall under the classification, even if they only have their pokemon to protect them.
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Root perks
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
25% chance of extra level every so often a trainer will be awarded an extra level to a pokemon that qualified to gain a level in a mod thread
50% chance of double items sometimes when spawning an item in a mod thread a trainer will find 2 different items instead of only 1
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Type specialists
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
As their name implies type specialists are trainers that have taken it upon themselves to cater to a specific type of pokemon, be it only pokemon of that type or including duo typed pokemon that include it. When battling with pokemon from their chosen type they receive extra poki for battles involving those type of pokemon. (EX: a fire specialist wins a single battle with a fire type pokemon, instead of receiving 10 poki for beating the pokemon they receive 20). [break][break] Unlike most of the rank ups Type specialists come with a few different levels, each of which has different perks that increase as you go up. However each level also has different requirements before it can be claimed, these requirements do not include post requirements. [break][break] Regardless of level you must have 2 pokemon of your chosen type in your main team at all times. No exceptions and must claim the levels in order, no jumping around. [break][break] LEVEL 1: NOVICE

[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Challengers
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
Challengers trainers that are well known for their performances in the Colosseums, putting effort into buffing up their teams and taking ont he challenges time and time again. After defeating enough of them these trainers become well known faces around Orre, earning them discounts at the local establishments, and even when bartering with locals. Colosseums must be beaten in order. [break][break] Challengers receive discounts even when bartering with other players but the site will make up the difference to ensure the player receives the agreed upon amount. Ex: agreed upon amount is 50 poki, challenger's discounts brings it to 40 which is deducted from their account, the other member will still receive 50 poki because the site will cover the 10 poki difference. [break][break] All numbers produced for discounts will be rounded up to the next number.
ORRE - 5% discount
PHENAC - 8% discount
UNDER - 11% discount
DEEP - 14% discount
TOWER - 17% discount
MOUNT BATTLE - 20% discount

[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-title1"] The breeder class
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-quipline"] We can talk about those pokeggs over some tea and treats okay?
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
The breeder class usually populated with people that devote their time with pokemon to bonding with them, caring for them and above all else, breeding them. Breeders prepare for battle sure but they're not as gung-ho as the trainers, for them battling more for exercise and proper care of one's pokemon. For breeders taking good care of their pokemon is of the utmost importance and they're usually the first to give advice for another on how to care for a certain type of pokemon. Of course not every breeder is a pokemon saint, but that's not uncommon.
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Root perks
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
On top of the ability to breed pokemon breeders receive:
2-3 eggs breeders will always receive 2 eggs with a chance to get 3
Halved breeding requirements 2 pages for egg hatching instead of 4.
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Care experts
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"] Care experts are breeders that have taken special interest in the care and upkeep of all pokemon species. They're the best choice of advice when it comes to figuring out what kind of training or diet your pokemon needs to be the strongest and best pokemon they can be. They aren't substitutes for a doctor though, but can usually direct you to a good one when your pokemon's sick. [break][break] The care expert specializes in helping care for and strengthening pokemon. Their perks reflect this.
+1 level per day caring for someone's pokemon a care expert may have another character's pokemon in their care, ranging from 1-5 days (this must be mentioned in a thread at least once by both participants). For every day the expert cares for a pokemon it gains 1 level and the expert is owed 20 poki. This may be done in a flash, all we require is that your character ICly acknowledge that the pokemon spent time with the care expert.
+1 level for own pokemon per 2 weeks every 2 weeks a care expert is awarded 1 free level they may give to a pokemon of their choice. Once the level is granted to a pokemon via the perk claim thread the 2 week cooldown starts again.
As their name implies a bonding expert is best at creating bonding and strengthening bonds between a pokemon and it's owner, be it by helping that owner learn to get along with the pokemon or by making the pokemon friendlier. In return their own pokemon tend to become friendlier towards them faster as well.
1-2 sessions with a members pokemon, increasing friendship each session a bonding expert has with another pokemon counts for 1 page of bonding with that pokemon and costs its owner 50 poki. This may be done up to 2 times for a total of 2 threads of bonding costing 100 poki.
Halved bonding requirements bonding experts max friendship within 2 pages instead of 4
Breeders that have continued pursuing the art of breeding pokemon have become good enough at it that other people have begun to trust them with their pokemon! This allows the breeding expert to breed another person's pokemon for them or with one of their own, for a price set by the breeder or another agreement for payment.
Can breed for other people prices are up to the breeder but they may breed for other characters.
Increased egg count to 3-4 breeding experts are certain to get at least 3 eggs with a chance to get 4.
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-titcon"] Sub classing into
[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
By subclassing into the breeder class a character is awarded the ability to breed 2 of the pokemon in their possession for a single egg. [break][break] Multiple eggs and other perks are only possible for characters whose root class is breeder, not subclass.

The researchers are people who are investigative and curious about pokemon. They strive to discover the untold and numerous mysteries surrounding pokemon and their existence. Researchers that have reached pokemon assistant rank generally work closely with a professor, helping them with their research in their spare time. Sometimes it's just doing the little things while other times they spear head entire experiments in the professors place. It is a stepping stone in progressing forward into professor status as well.

[attr="class","mdh-v2-info-main-text"]
Move tutors are researchers that have taken a lot of interest in pokemon types and the moves they learn. In doing so they've learned ways to teach pokemon to use moves they might not usually get just by training. This makes them a unque helper to other pokemon owners as they can teach both their own pokemon and someone else's pokemon how to use moves they have learned to teach. Move tutors always specialize in a specific type however, and can only teach pokemon that have that typing in particular. [break] A move tutor must have at least 3 pokemon of their chosen type (yes, duo types count!) between their team and PC pokemon but at least 2 of those pokemon must be in their main team at all times!
May teach pokemon of their selected type moves move tutors may teach another character's pokemon a move so long as they are of their specified type.
1 free move of their type (2 week cool down) move tutors may teach over of their own pokemon a move so long as it is of their specified type, this has a 2 week cooldown after it has been claimed!
