Kamil is an easy going, laid back, open minded kind of guy who loves to help people whenever he can and always has an optimistic view on life. He always sees the good in anyone no matter how bad they may be. He also has a deep passion for Pokemon and adventures.

His downfalls are that he often acts before thinking, he is very unorganized, often childish, and naive. His carefree attitude also is frowned upon among many of his peers. He also frequently takes naps but it is mostly because he escapes into the woods to look at the stars or clouds where he is the most calm and just lays there for hours.

For the most part, Kamil lived a normal life, up until he was 10. Most of his friends were going to become trainers and travel throughout Orre. His dream changed the day his father got a great job in a far away city. That meant he had to stay home with his mother and grandparents at the farm they had outside Agate Village. He didn't mind too much because of how peaceful the farm was. On the farm they grew herbs for trainers to use on their Pokemon and he would listen to their stories and tales of all their adventures.

One day a trainer had left a Bulbasaur because he wasn't able to take care of it anymore. At first the Bulbasaur rejected the family. The only one who was able to become remotely close was Kamil and that was when he was taking care of it. That Bulbasaur over time became a member of the family, but was also gave a huge hand (vine) on the herb farm. On Kamil's Eighteen birthday his mother told him if he still wished to become a trainer he was allowed to leave the farm, but Bulbasaur had to stay and he had to get another Pokemon to go with him.

He went into town to see a fisherman to help him catch a Pokemon but all he could catch was a Magikarp for some reason and his mother felt that the Magikarp wasn't strong enough to keep him safe. After two weeks, Bulbasaur started disobeying everyone in the family but Kamil. His mother finally realized that Bulbasaur was mad at them and how inseparable the two of them were so she gave in. They could finally leave together happily. He began his journey and caught several other pokemon (carried over from the revamp) from various areas in the Orre region.
