Damian was born in johto, never to know his parents. From a young age he was a trash baby, or at least that was what he was called for most of his younger childhood. That was what he was, not who he was, a child whose parents had dumped him somewhere and never came back. After being pretty much left for dead, the young teen had to make a life of his own on the streets. He got by by stealing and becoming a pickpocket. Soon enough he realized he was good at what he did, Damian got into gangs and other street thugs taught him how to fight. At the age of eight he had learned how to use his fist  to win what he couldn't steal.

At the age of 10 was when he stole his first knife and it became his signature weapon. Damian began to think further than simple thugs and street gangs. He was smart for his age and street smarts was not enough for him. It was at the age of twelve he found team rocket, they liked people like him but while he would work and do the grunt work... he had much bigger asperations. Rocket taught him more than any street alley could, and he learned to read and to plan and to strategize. He received a seviper from them, a posion type just as poisonous as his personality. Together he grew through the ranks and became a rocket leader.

Even so, he found no use in rocket and when rumors of a new team in a desert like region came up he dropped all ties with rocket and left. By the time they had figured out he was long gone and on his way to Orre. Once there using his cunning skills in both what people would consider evil and street smarts he quickly spread his name around as an information broker, the poison master. It wouldn't be long till cipher would get word of his name as a broker and seek him out. While Damine wouldn't join the group directly, he had too much fun messing with things from the outside, he became an ally to cipher and through them received an indicator to a plot they planned to create a creature known as.. "shadow pokemon"
