Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

"So do you think we'll end up with more burnst curtains after we bring this one home or just more burnt growlithe?" Evan asked the elephant pokemon walking beside him on their way through Pyrite. He'd heard word about the growlithe packs showing up there and it caught his interest. His one back home was forever getting into trouble because no one was entertaining it 24/7. It wasn't his fault he didn't have the time to devote to his pokemon the same as before, he had a bar to run now! Not that he was really any good at it but he was trying. "We're probably gonna just end up with more burnt growlithe aren't we?" [break][break] As far as he could tell the phanpy did not disagree with this being how things would probably go if they brought home another one. But he needed something to entertain the fire dog while the otherone, the houndour on his back, was incubating still. He was a little surprised it hadn't hatched yet with how long he'd had it. Then again he also wasn't traveling around as much as he used to. [break][break] The Phanpy sounded some kind of alarm like series of noises before scurrying off and Evan followed behind at a leisurely pace. Unlike the phanpy who had always been in a hurry he had nowhere to get to fast and nothing much to do for the day. He could afford to take a leisurely stroll through pyrite. Besides he hadn't been there in forever, he wondered if mark was still pissed at him for landing the guy in jail? He was kind of a dick though so it's not like Evan regretted it.

"You must be deaf then because last time I checked pokemon don't talk." was the first thing to come out of his mouth when some little shit rounded the corner on them thinking they'd come across a pokemon to catch. "At least not English." what was the pokemon language even called? Had anyone ever even named it? Probably not. Maybe he should name it, though he wasn't enough of a big wig to get any kind of an official name put in. [break][break] The snob scoffed at him and made some remark about getting him for that and throwing out a pokeball. Sandshrew. "Where'd you find that? I've been looking for one of those." not really but he was now, he'd spaced on how damn cute the little things were. He needed like... 5. Well trained though, he didn't need them digging holes in the shed. Maybe just one would do for now. He'd have probably run off to go find one if not for his Phanpy being so eager to battle. "Alright alright go play." he waved the pokemon forward and she trumpeted in victory and immediately ran headfirst into the sandshrew to tackle it. Evan chuckled at her gusto, the little shit yelled about how unfair that was yadda yadda he wasn't the type Evan liked talking to in all honesty. [break][break] The Sanshrew started scratching at blue beast who simply responded by tackling it headfirst again, and when the pokemon toppled over this time she proceeded to well, lay on it. Too bad for the sandshrew it was a light weight pokemon and its flailing about trying to get the small but heavy Phanpy off was to little avail. She trumpeted her victory again before flailing about on top of the other pokemon, it attempted to retaliate with poisonous stings but by the time the Phanpy ceased in her flailing the sandshrew was a goner. "And they say I'm weird." he side eyed the phanpy before gesturing for her to follow him as they continued their search.

"Nope never heard of you," it was apparently a grave personal offense for him to have no idea who this chick was. He didn't watch tv or listen to radios. Hell the man barely read until he was stuck in a library over night or during a storm. And then he read fiction not the kind of thing this chick was probably in. She was on a tirade and Evan was walking away when she threw her pokeball at his head, releasing the minun inside. "Okay, I don't know how that was supposed to do any good it's not like I have a memory for it to jog." Now he had his hands on his hips, one hip cocked to the side as he frowned at her. The chick kept yelling and he, of course, calmly responded back. [break][break] While the two bickered the minun approached his phanpy with a cheerful grin. She was, as always, eager to play and proceeded to tackle the pokemon. It took the hint and responded with a quick attack. The phanpy wiggled around before jumping on the minun who seemed very surprised by this turn of events. He tried to spark his way out of it but the phanpy's loving flailing didn't make it easy, if anything it made it nearly impossible for it to get far. It growled in frustration before she backed off and tackled it while it was still on the ground. The poor thing hit its head and fainted. The Phanpy nudged at the pokemon to try and get it to respond again, she wanted to play more. When it didn't she went to Evan's side and pulled at his pant leg with her trunk. [break][break] The chick screached, Evan made a face and gathered up his pokemon before hightailing it out of there. He wasn't waiting for another earful, she'd ranted enough already and proved she could not be reasoned with.

He had to herd the phanpy around, most of his pokemmon he would just pick up but carrying this one was more like a workout than carrying around a pet. Not that he had anything against that but a leisurely stroll was not leisurely when you were pretty much doing a work out carrying something around."Is it possible to make Phanpies lose weight?" he wondered aloud and the Phanpy seemed to give him an incredulous look before getting distracted by a barking noise down an alley. [break][break] Evan didn't have any time to stop her, she bounded off and he was left to follow, coming upon the Phanpy scattering a pack of growlithe around while trying to find one that would play with her. Evan simply watched and waited for her to find one that would face off with her. One finally proved willing to do just that and stood his ground in front of her. "Play nice girl, we're taking it back tot he bar remember?" whether she heard or not he wasn't sure but the growlithe handled the tackle she gave it well enough. It returned the attack with an ember of its own and the Phanpy flailed her trunk about at the pokemon who yipped and roared in return. It seemed to get her attention and brought her to a stop, the dog waited with a leering gaze. The phanpy shook it off and tackled the pokemon again. It tried to bite at her but she tackled it again, knocking the pokemon down before sitting on it. [break][break] "Good enough." Evan threw out a pokeball in the hopes of grabbing the pokemon while it was pinned down by his own.
