Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

The young researcher was probably as hyped up as the other was, if not more. The feeling hadn't completely sank in that she was actually free now, but it would and when it did, nothing would be able to contain the happiness she would feel. For now however, she sat down on the ground and tried to rub her legs and her thighs where it ached the most hoping that rubbing them enough would take the soreness out of them. If not at least she tried right? Blue eyes glanced over at the ponyta rider as he wrapped his pokemon's legs and talked about being sore.
"You really care about your Pokemon." a soft smile came to her face. "It's a nice thing to see." she said softly only to look back at him offering her some water from his bag. Moving with a slight groan she rocked toward the rock enough to grab it without having to get completely up. Tia would probably try to avoid standing up for as long as possible so she didn't have to feel that soreness that she knew wouldn't go away any time soon. "It's nice to meet you Alastair. Well, at least now instead of earlier, wish it could have been on better terms. My name is Tatianna, but that is a real mouthful so you can call me Tia if you'd like." she responded taking a drink of her water that he had given her.
When she watched the interaction between the two however she couldn't help but laugh and almost spit the water out she had in her mouth. A small little squeak might have come out from how hard she was laughing. "And it seems your Pokemon really care about you too." she said with a giggle. The question that was to come however was soon asked and the young girl looked away for a moment. Tia bit her lip some before sighing and looking back, because he was right he did deserve an explanation after he had helped her so much.
"My mom passed away a little bit ago. My dad, he's a high official, he's not really around much." she said biting her lip harder before continuing to speak. "He kept me inside the house, and.. I can't do it anymore. I tried, I really tried... for mom.. but.." she couldn't help it as she started to shake and cry some. "but I don't want to be kept locked up anymore. Even if I'm the daughter of a high official.. it's not fair that I can't go anywhere!" she said slowly moving her legs to her chest and burying her head against them.

She wasn't wrong. Alastair did love his Pokemon. He patted August on the nose when the horse nuzzled him again. "My Pokemon are my family," he said softly. They were everything to him. His world. Pokemon were just such amazing creatures. The bonds they had with humans could spark an evolution! How was that not amazing? And what's more is that the most loyal of Pokemon seem to be able to sense almost anything going on with their trainer. With their friends. Sadness, anger. They know what to do to protect their own. It was no wonder why Alastair was interested in the bond between Pokemon and humans as his research... who wouldn't be curious except maybe the heartless?
"Tatianna," he said, trying the name out. It was a nice name. "Well... Tia is is then, miss. You can call me Al if you want." Al, Alastair, same thing. He didn't care what people called him as long as he gave them permission... that and only certain people got to call him Al. Tia so far had proved to be a good person. Regardless of why she was running away... and he figured she could use some comfort. All Alastair could offer was the chance to call him Al but...
He listened to her speak, carefully sipping at some of his own water. His heart clenched. He didn't know what to say to her. 'Everything will be alright' was too generic, and her problem seemed deeper than Alastair had permission to know about. He put away his water and sat there in silence, letting her cry for a few moments. He let his thoughts move around in his head, then he spoke. "I'm sorry about your mother," he said, "but I think leaving is the right thing. You have to do what makes you happy... besides its a big world out there. Even this region, despite its size, is filled with wonder."
Somehow, Alastair knew he needed to change the subject. He got up and checked again. Nothing. Not yet. But soon. "So what are you going to do now? Since your free and all?" It was a simple question, something to distract her. There were some heavy thoughts that might be in her head.
There was something nice about the word family, about the thought of having someone there that really cared about it. That was what Tia had when she had her mother, even if she didn't see her father a lot that was all she needed. Her mother made everything better, and always been there so when she had left it was really hard. Even as old as she was it still hadn't really sunk in that she was alone now. She still had her father but that alone feeling, it was never going to go away was it? She hoped that maybe one day she could have the same bond he had with his ponyta with her own pokemon. Luna was the closest and Tia was sure the little corsola made the best of things.
Tia didn't know why but it was nice to hear him say her name, it was soft.. almost like the way her mother spoke.. but that was getting a little creepy wasn't it. "Alright, Al it is then." she replied with a soft smile on her face. That soft warm feeling however was soon overcome by the pain of the thought of her mother and what she had run away from. It had been hard, really hard to make the decision she had and Tia felt easily swayed. Right now she felt like the world could crash around her at any moment.
Then... he spoke, at first they were words she expected, was used to even, words of apology. Those she had heard plenty from the people of Phenac, words that fell on deaf ears now. So used to hearing them, the almost lost their meaning.. but the rest however made the small researcher look up from where she sat even if he could see the tears that hadn't quite stop falling yet. He was the first one... the first one after her mother to tell her that it wasn't too late, and that she had made the right decision. It was... a very nice feeling to know that someone believed in her for her than because she was the daughter of someone important.
"You remind me of her. That's weird isn't it? I just... its nice to know someone who didn't instantly shoot me down." she said quickly wiping at her eyes. She couldn't be a little baby now, this was the real world and she had to step up and embrace it full force. The subject change was nice and she was grateful for it as she gave him another smile. " I'm not sure yet, I really want to learn more about the region. Though to be honest.. i really like pokemon the best. I really want to learn more about the moves pokemon use.. and how they can learn so many. " she said getting excited with every word before simmering down again.

Some amount of words for Titannia Heart "Derpface will leave your butt in the desert"
He listened to her, a soft smile on his face. Wow, this kid had gone though a lot so far. Being stuck in one place, losing her mother... no wonder why she wanted to get out of that city. Eventually, his smile faded when she mentioned what she wanted to do. "Ever consider being a move tutor?" he asked. "I think you're too young to be a professor, but maybe an assistant if you want to research that stuff?" He tapped August's neck and stood up, brushing himself off.
"But no, not crazy. Every dream starts off sounding crazy, but if you put in the work you can reach it in no time." He fixed August's saddle and checked back behind them. Yeah... things were beginning to move. He could see a dust cloud. "But that dream won't come true if we get caught. The closest border is about four or five miles southward. Once we get across that line we're in the clear for getting you to a new city. Are you ready to get moving?" He didn't want to rush her, or even try to rush her, but they had to get moving. The last thing Alastair wanted was to be face to face with a cop.
He mounted August and waited for Tia, mostly so she could ride behind him this time. It would be easier on August to have Alastair up front. She was used to that more than someone lighter than him. August stomped her hooves and snorted, hearing a buzzing sound coming from behind them. She was ready to get moving, her legs ready to run for even longer than before, to get them where Alastair said.
There was just the problem of what they would do once they were past the border. Which place would they go to? Which city? How far did Tia expect Al to take her? He was fine with going most anywhere but he had his own things to do... and he was getting hungry. If she kept her promise about that meal, he would not object. First thing was first, though. They had to get across the border and then they could relax and make camp. There were plenty of places to hide further out in the desert.
At this point she would have listened to just about anything the other said, considering how much he had done for her. Tia didn't really know much outside of what she was able to hear from rumors and things she found in the house from the old books there. "A move tutor? What's that?" she asked truly interested in what he had to say. It wasn't her trying to be sarcastic or anything, because she really wanted to know more about the world and about her own dreams. The professors, she had heard of them, but could she really someone so young become one of them? Well if she could become an assistant at least she was doing something closer to her dreams. That or the move tutor thing that he had talked about before, and now the girl was excited to hear more about what he was talking about.
Tia blinked at what he said next though, about how dreams sounded crazy, but they changed to something that could be worked towards. The young researcher quickly wiped at her eyes before it managed to get teared up again. "You're the first person to say that since mom passed, everyone said I was ridiculous. To young to worry about things like that... I had a good life and I should enjoy it. " she said trying to keep a positive attitude. Tia slowly pushed herself up as she listened to him talking about having to move, and before he could managed to get on the ponyta small arms wrapped around his stomach as she burried herself into his back.
"Thank you, Thank you for a lot of things, for everything.." she whispered but quickly let go before it could become too awkward. So when he mounted and offered his hand once more she gave a bright smile and used his help to get on behind him. Naturally her arms moved aroudn him again to hold on considering they would have to go farther than they had the first time. "I think I'm ready now, so let's get my legs sore again." she said with a small laugh, trying to keep it light and airy that they weren't being chased by probably the men of her father.

Some amount of words for Titannia Heart "Oh I would... -cough- then come back cause i would get worried -cough-"
He thought about a definition. "Someone that studies the moves of Pokemon and teaches them moves. So, someone that could help a Pokemon learn move. Study what moves they can learn. So on and so forth." It was a good profession. Alastair had considered it at some point before he knew what he wanted to do. The thought was quickly erased when he saw her wipe her eyes again. Well... he didn't know why people wouldn't give her encouragement. So many things were possible in a world so grand. If she wanted to get there one day then Alastair would write her the best recommendation he could... once he became respected in the scientific community.
The hug had surprised him more than anything. At least she was grateful. Not that Alastair would hold it over her head. They had more things to worry about. He glanced behind him when she mentioned she was ready to go and took up August's reigns. The Ponyta stepped back a few paces. Alastair looked forward and kicked his heels into her sides, the pony darting forward. She splashed past the stream and darted along the sand. Alastair narrowed his eyes and shifted the reigns into one hand, reaching down to his backpack on her saddle. He fished around before pulling out some goggles and a bandanna. He handed them to Tia.
"You'll want these!" he yelled over the wind. "Be careful putting them on!" He waited till she took them to shift the reigns back into both hands. He added under his breath, "They weren't cheap." The sand and wind was stinging his eyes but he kept them narrowed, trying to fight past the stringing pain. Tia would need them more than him. Alastair had ridden plenty of times before doing the smart thing and actually getting the tools to ride out in the desert. Thankfully he had some eye drops when when they stopped. He would need them to rinse the sand out.
August kept running at an even speed. Despite the weight of two humans on her back, she was able to keep her strides steady, knowing Alastair would appreciate it later. How long did he expect her to run for? Till that river down a ways? It wasn't their first trip but given the fact there was added weight on her, August wasn't feeling too confident. She would go as far as possible, but eventually she knew Alastair would stop her. Especially if she signaled if she was tired by suddenly stopping, for example. Her ears twitched and she picked up some subtle noises behind them. What did the human do this time? Piss someone else off? Sometimes she wandered about him...
Several minutes passed and Alastair glanced over his shoulder again, seeing that they had gained some good distance. He pulled back on the reigns, slowing August from a full blown gallop into a more peaceful canter. "How are you holding up, Tia?" he asked. "Do we need to stop?" August's ears twitched back. Now what was he talking about?

HUMAN
AND I BLEED WHEN I FALL DOWN
Alastair Rome | ";^; you'd make me cry again you know"
The young researcher listened carefully to his explanation about what move tutors were. The more he talked about it though the more she knew this was what she wanted, the way it sounded was perfect to her. Just like how she wanted to learn about how many moves pokemon had and how they learned so many. The hardest part now was learning enough to become that and then choosing which type she wanted to help with, most likely choosing the water type, but who knew anything could change your mind after all. Tia could only hope that if this was the road she went down that it would be filled with all kinds of people like him who were kind and only wanted the best for the region.
The girl quickly held on burying into the back of his shirt and closing her eyes as they quickly galloped off into the desert and sand. It was only a little into their journey when the blonde offered her his goggles and a bandanna, both would be useful out here in the sand. Tia almost felt bad but on the back of a horse it was hard to argue. So the girl took them and carefully adjusted them on, finding they were a bit big but it was a kind gesture, and she would be thankful to him once again for putting her first before him. Tia's list of favors just seemed to be piling up and she would make sure that he was repaid for what he had done.
Finally after what seemed longer than what it probably was they stopped once more and slowly Tia unwrapped herself some from him. She could only hope that she wasn't holding on too tight and making it awkward for the other. "I'm doing okay, but you should probably take these goggles and bandanna back, I can bury into your shirt, you're eyes are probably on fire aren't they?" she said with a bit of worry hinted in there. This time it was her turn to not accept any talk backs as he quickly took them off and offered them back to the blonde. "I promise I'll be okay, you are really kind to worry about me over yourself and I appreciate it." she said softly
"I think there is a stand up here shortly, it wasn't very far from Phenac, at least that's what I heard. I can pay for a meal, and maybe we can rest there for a bit? Then when we get to an actual city I can make a meal for us. It's really the least I can do, and maybe something nice for your ponyta. " she said with a smile. If it wasn't for the ponyta they wouldn't nearly be as far as they were now, and she would make sure to repay them both for their kindness in one way or the other.
August was panting. She was used to running for long distances, but there was something different about it this time. Alastair was not going easy. He was in a rush. Honestly he was asking too much of her, but the Ponyta couldn't argue. Alastair always did weird things, and most of a time, there was a reason for them. August took in a deep breath and then tried to relax. Alastair wouldn't keep this up for long. He wasn't that much of an idiot. Instead, the horse decided to focus on what she heard behind her. The exchange between humans. They were so weird. They needed a swift kick to the... yeah.
Alastair turned slightly in the saddle, feeling Tia let go of him. He was happy she wasn't too strong, or else he was sure she would have snapped his ribs. It was fine though. Alastair had worse. Before he could even ask her if she needed to get off, she found his goggles and bandanna shoved back at him. He blinked. Yeah, his eyes did feel like they were on fire. Like someone doused them in gasoline and lit a match, specifically. He gave a smile and a sigh, giving a nod. "Thanks. And you mean that creepy stand with all the pervs? Yeah, I know where that is." he put on the goggles and readjusted them and the bandanna. He felt like a desert bandit... no. A desert pirate. Captain Rome. Yes, perfect. "You don't want to get a meal there. I have supplies in my bag. All we need is to find a clean river and a cactus." Alastair took the reigns back up and patted August's neck. "Unless you want to take your chances with a burger."
He just needed to know where to go. He lightly tapped August's sides and she began a steady walk. "As for the city, there's the tower. If you want to get out of the desert, there's a wonderful little place filled with old people." He rubbed his chin. "But then again... there are some jerks there too. Or there's the lab." He should probably go visit the lab at some point... nah. He liked being out in the wilderness. He could learn more out here than in a lab. "Tell me where to go and I'll get you there. If you ever need to stop, by the way, just tug on my jacket." It was the only real way to get his attention when he was riding. August moved fast. So fast that "WARNING: ROAD CLOSED" signs went by in a flash.

AND I BLEED WHEN I FALL DOWN
Alastair Rome | "nu uh ur the liar" i am so sorry i didn't know you replied to this one
It was nice to know that someone was willing to care about her even if he hardly knew her even after telling him her story. The least she could do would be to make it as easy as possible for him to get her out of phenac and as far away as he would be willing to take her. Honestly Tia knew she was already asking too much of the other researcher even now before any of this had even began. It seemed that her suggestion wasn't the best one and it wasn't that surprising. Most of her information was what she had managed to dig up on her own so it didn't make her that obvious when he said it was mostly perverts.
"Oh I didn't know that. No it's okay, if you think it's bad we don't have to go there." she said shaking her head. Honestly she didn't have much choice when it came to all of this. She was really mostly in the researchers mercy right now and she owed him more than he could ever imagine. "I don't really mind where we go or where you drop me off. I'm just thankful that you have taken me far if not at all." she said with a soft smile moving her face back into his back so she didn't get too hit by sand since she had given back his items.
It also seemed that in the midst of his talking the researcher had managed to miss a road closed sign that whizzed past them and Tia as well hadn't managed to see it from her face being buried into the back of the other. Hopefully there wasn't something too horrible up ahead that would ruin their days, or perhaps break any bones.

Some amount of words for Titannia Heart "I'm not a lair ;^;" :'D no need to be sorry, you're the one that waited a month+ <//3
Honestly, he didn't know where his mind had gone. He was thinking about something. About what, though, he wasn't quite sure. It must not have been important because the thought went right out of his mind when August came to a skidding stop. Alastair did remember the pony tripping on some very loose rocks and trying to gain her footing. He also remembered taking his foot out of the stirrups and reaching behind him to grab Tia so he could shield her during the fall. He wasn't quite sure if he was able to grab her, but if so, hopefully she was alright and uninjured. He prayed he was able to shield her with his body. He was used to getting hurt but her... well he didn't know.
What he was aware of was staring up at the ever brightening sky as dawn finally started to arrive. He also felt a biting, stinging pain in his back and something wet. So, he could conclude that he was bleeding and his jacket was probably ruined. Again. Good thing he bought a new one. He was also aware of August trotting over to him. She was covered in some mild scrapes and cruises, but she seemed alright. Alastair leaned his head back to look at what had caused their fall. Yup. Very loose rocks, all over the place. And holes. Onix must have come through here.
"Hey, Tia!" he said as loud as he could. Some dust had flown under the bandana. It had dried his throat. "You alright?" He laid still. He wasn't going to move until he heard her say something. And if she didn't... well, he would wait three minutes then get up and find her, then panic, then get to a hospital. "If you are call me an idiot, and if you aren't... call me a bigger idiot." He patted August's nose. She snorted.
