Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

The young lass had never thought it would come to this. Come to the beating of her heart in her chest with bated breath and the feeling that someone was always right behind her, in fact she hardly thought that anything could feel this exhilarating. As much as she cared about her father, and she did deeply care, she couldn't stay in the same place like he wanted her to. Living behind those walls had been the worst parts of her young life, after her mother had passed away everything had changed. Tianna hardly saw her father anyway, it was always business this and business that so he really wouldn't miss her all that much would he?
The girl couldn't let such things get to her now, she had her back packed and her pokeball of her precious Luna, she couldn't look back not now. Finally making up her mind the girl quickly snuck out the window of her house and quickly before anyone could notice rushed away as quickly as her legs would carry her. Honestly, it shouldn't have felt so exciting running away from home, so why suddenly did this? It wasn't like she was doing this for the fun, it was because she couldn't stay one more minute in that house with memories to haunt her and a wall around every corner. There was no adventure there and she had her full life ahead of her. The teenager stole a glance back behind her to that familiar house, but she couldn't let herself give in now.
Yet, she would come to realize fate was a little funny. The moment she had glanced back a body was suddenly there and her small frame quickly collided with the other, as a squeak came and she fell promptly to her bottom. "Ow Ow Ow!" she whined but blue orbs glanced up at the other with a blink. She hadn't seen this man before so maybe he was a visitor and wouldn't turn her into her father. The young girl quickly jumped up and grabbed the others arm moving a finger to her mouth and quickly pulling him into a abandoned alley way to hide. "Please please please mister, take me with you out of this city and I'll make you a 4 course meal of whatever you want. I can't really explain, but i just have to get out of here."
It was a nice day. Err, night. Still! It was nice. More, or less. Alastair enjoyed it. Back in the old-people place, he had gotten August her saddle and bridle and had left her at the Pokemon stables to be fed and washed, then saddled before he returned. The people at the Pokemon Center really were kind, especially since they had traveled all this way. August needed some time to rest anyway, and what better place to do it than a stable? Of course, Alastair had her pokeball on him. He wasn't too far away from her, and he was sure to mind the limits the pokeball could go away from the Pokemon, but at least there were places to visit while he relaxed. Riding for so long had made his legs sore.
Well, he nabbed some free samples from some food places and had made that his meal. He didn't have the money to spend on some stuff. Everything he had was going towards his Pokemon. They deserved more than him. Besides, Alastair could always find food. It had become a skill. Err, make that free food. He looked up for a split second, paying attention to a sign, before someone had slammed into him. He rocked back a little but caught himself before he fell, looking at who had hit him. Oh!
"Are you-" he began, but the girl put a finger to her lips and Alastair sealed his mouth shut. She didn't seem hurt, at least. She pulled him into an alley and Alastair hand immediately went towards his pocket. Alright, this was a big city. Maybe this girl was part of a gang and wanted to rob him. Well, anyone that came from behind would find a- oh? He blinked. She wanted to get out? Why?
He stared at her, searching her eyes. Well... she seemed desperate Desperate enough to be telling the truth. He looked around. The Pokemon Center wasn't far away. "If it is that important," he said softly, "I have a ride back at the Pokemon Center. If you can find the fastest way there then sure. I can get you out of the city." He didn't really want the food, even though it would be nice. If someone was in trouble then... well... Alastair wasn't going to leave them to the wolves.
The girl really didn't want to endanger someone else, honestly she could only imagine if her father found her with this man. What would he think? Of course he would probably jump to conclusions and assume this guy had kidnapped her. The girl grimanced for a moment, thinking about the bad things that would happen to him if that was the case. Tia really didn't want to endanger him, but she really had no choice now. It was fair right? She had offered food in exchange for him getting her out of this place, but they had to do it quickly. Very quickly, if they were going to escape before her nanny found her missing.
"I'm really really sorry." she commented quickly to his words. Tia hated the thought that he could be hurt because she wanted to be free, and that was the worst part of it. This guy was really nice, he hardly knew her but he was already offering a way out of this place. A way to live far away from the confining walls of her house. "I wouldn't be asking this of you if I didn't have another choice. I just... I can't go back!" she cried quickly trying to get her emotions in check before she all but broke down on the other. She couldn't go back to the cage that was her house that kept her stranded there. But at the thought of the center she quickly wiped her eyes and nodded some.
"I know the streets like the back of my hand, but..." she looked away for a moment. "If they catch us.. tell them... tell them you found me wandering the streets and you just wanted to get me home safely. I-I'd hate to see you hurt because of all this." she said quietly. Honestly, Tia would probably have to make him a couple dinners before she felt she had paid this man back for what he had done for her. "Quickly.. this way." she said this time gently grabbing his hand instead of his arm. Man, had he always been that tall? She was barely up to this guys waist, and he wasn't bad looking either, but he was way too old.
The teen shook her head and quickly made her way through the streets keeping them out of the light as much as possible and slowly got them back to the center. It was almost too easy, almost... at least till she heard some of the city's night watch. Her father already knew? How?! The girl clutched his hand tighter, fear slowly creeping up her spine till it made her shiver. "They will find us soon." she said almost desperately. How could she go back? This was her only chance to run.. and it was all riding on a perfect stranger.

Some amount of words for Titannia Heart because he's... al "Hey, I'm not old ;^;" shush, Al
This was... almost like it was out of a movie. He almost wanted to laugh. Almost. This was no laughing matter, and the sound of her voice... she seemed distressed. Alastair knew he should have said no, and went on his way. Left her there but... honestly? She seemed so close to sobbing her eyes out. There was no way Alastair was going to leave her there. If she was caught up in some sort of mess with the cops or something, then she was probably dangerous. Then again, Alastair had a few tricks up his sleeves. After having to wander around a college campus on the days everyone got drink at two am bringing friends back, how bad could it be? After all, if someone could survive a bottle to the head they could survive someone so small. Then again: the small people were the deadliest.
Yet this girl seemed genuine. "Them?" Alastair asked himself. Was she the daughter of a gang boss? Was Alastair about to get caught up in a gang war? As cool as that would be, he liked his blood inside of his body. He shook his head and followed her, not removing his hand. Hell, if it made her feel even a little better he would let her hold his hand all she wanted. If she was as scared as she was putting on then... He stopped when he heard something, and he felt her grip tighten. Yeah, she heard it too.
They stopped and he looked around. He had an idea of where he was now. He peeked around a corner, not seeing anyone. Yeah, he recognize that shop. Which meant the Pokemon Center was... it was too far away for him to call for August and have her respond in time before someone came looking for his whistle. Well... this was a problem. "No they won't," he said comfortingly. He took charge now and carefully lead her past an opening in the alley and into another enclosure, moving as quietly as he could, watching his step to make sure they didn't step on any glass. "If they do, I'll pick you up and make a run for it." He peeked around another corner. "Besides, you sound sincere about not wanting to go back where ever it was you escaped from." His safety be damned. "... by the way are you scared of fire?" It wasn't a random question, but he still had to know. August wasn't fond of others riding her, but he supposed if he was there and showed they were in a hurry, then the Ponyta would understand.
"How close are we?" he asked. He needed to know if they could make it there in less than two minutes if he ran. He kept hearing noises and they were getting closer. He kept his voice at a low shush. Ugh, why was it every time he came to a big city he got in trouble? It was like he was a bad luck magnet... thinking about bad luck, how hard would it be to get out of a walled city with a horse when the cops were after you and some girl you had just met that may or may not be a criminal? He glanced at her. No... probably not. But he wasn't going to rule it out.

HUMAN
AND I BLEED WHEN I FALL DOWN
Alastair Rome | this is a true statement "and you are totally old" tia pls
This guy was really crazy, or a truly genuine person that you could take at face value, and for what it was worth she hoped that it was the later. Tia could only imagine what was going on inside his head and what he could be thinking. In fact, she was a bit worried what he was thinking more than she let on. What if he sounded genuine then in reality he was really working for her father, or he heard about her father. Tia had no doubt the man would offer a high reward for her to be brought home, but she didn't want to be home. Not when it meant that she was alone, alone with him hardly there and just the memory of what she had lost floating over her head like a storm cloud.
It did bring her comfort to hold his hand, and she could only hope that she would one day be able to repay him for his kindness to her. No one would have listened to a girl this small, listened to what she had to say, because she was small. It was hard knowing that no one really wanted to listen to a girl who had just recently hit her teens. IF anything, he deserved to know the truth and Tia knew that if he asked she wouldn't lie to him. If anything this blonde, deserved that much, that much to know what was really going on and what she was running from.
Soon enough it came, in the form of a simple word but it was still a question. "Yes, them. The night watch, its a protection for this city. It recently started after the rumor that that group Cipher might be coming back. Everyone thinks its fairy tales but they sure didn't waste time upping the security around here." she said before biting her lip. It wasn't necessarily a lie, but she hadn't told him the whole truth either. "I run away often.." she finally admitted. "I've never made it out of the city before, because they would always find me. I'm too small to get very far on my own. That's why... that's why i had to ask for your help!" she said using her free hand to wipe at her eyes.
Honestly, now was not the time to cry. Yet there was his voice again, soft and comforting telling her that they weren't going to find her and wouldn't take her back. Why was this man risking everything? Everything for someone he hardly knew, and someone who could very well get him in a lot of trouble if they found them. "Thank you, Thank you so much." was all she could say as a few tears did manage to find their way out as she quickly wiped at them. No, she had to be strong now, strong so that she could repay this man for everything he had or was trying to do for her.
As he took charge she let him following and holding his hand as she too listened as the sound of the guard got closer. Tia blinked however at his strange question but shook her head. "No, I'm not." she said honestly. She had water pokemon after all and Phenac was known for its water, it was probably one of the most beautiful cities in all of Orre. To Tia however it was a prison, one that she was going to get out of one way or another.
"It's right around the corner!" she said pointing in the direction. Thankfully the pokemon center was close to the exit of the city. Maybe just maybe they had a chance to get out of here, and Tia could feel her chest swell up. This was going to work! Yes, she had to believe it was going to work, at least until a member of the city watch rounded the corner behind them and quickly called out. "Hey you two stop right there! Tatianna, your father is going to have a word with you when he finds out you've snuck out again." the guard said quickly calling for back up.
No no no no! They were so close, but could they really escape this now? "Go, you must go. It's okay.." she said looking up at him with a soft smile. " I'll be alright, but I can't let you get hurt because of me. Once he alerts the watch you'll never get out of here. Run while you can... " she said quickly letting go of his hand. Tia had promised herself she wouldn't let him get hurt, even if it meant her chance at freedom was once again taken from her.

Some amount of words for Titannia Heart "I will drop you :I" no you won't your too sweet ya dork. ";^;"
Oh... so that evil group thing? Yeah, Alastair knew about them. Of course he would neglect to mention how excited he was. If a city like this was setting up to fight off that group then... they must be real! Then what about shadow Pokemon? Were those legends true? The excitement had to be shoved down. There was no way Alastair was going to go all "oh my gods above they are real!" on someone in trouble... that and she could still be a mob boss's daughter. Instead, something else caught his attention. Too small? "You're never too small to have an adventure," he said, quoting his mother and father. "I'm gonna get you out of this town even if I have to scale that wall," he said. And by the gods he meant it.
He didn't like to see anyone cry. His heart hurt at the sight of her tears, but he didn't mention it. He wasn't going to mention something that might be seen as weakness in a time like this... even though crying wasn't a weakness. It was a strength. Hell, Alastair had cried a lot himself when he was younger. Even when he got hurt. Whoever said manliness involved not crying needed to get kicked in the.... alright, never mind.
He froze when he heard the guard. He shot the man a glare and picked up a nearby rock before taking aim and throwing. His goal was to hit the radio before back-up could be called. Besides, Alastair always had a good arm. It was useful against bullies. He scooped the young lady up into his arms. "Sorry, sorry, just bare with me," he said, and then he turned and darted. Who knew gym would be- oh no, he hated gym. Gym was running to his classes after waking up late. He would never be late. Despite Alastair's personality, he had to be on time. He held her loosely, but tight enough so she wouldn't tumble around. As he saw the Pokemon Center, he let out a shrill whistle.
August lifted her head from the hay bale. She had been saddled a while ago, her bit-less bridle making it easy for her to snack. She shook her head, the worker looking at her. Then she was gone, leaving behind sparks. She busted out of the stables and rushed towards Alastair, skidding to a stop when she saw who was in his arms... oh dear what did he do now?
Alastair tried to put the girl onto August. "Hold onto the horn!" he said, jumping on behind her. He looked around for the exit, and then pulled back on the reigns. "Hold on tight and squeeze with your knees! Let me know when you are ready to go, but uh... we kinda got to hurry!" He heard an alarm. August almost reared but Alastair barked at her to stop. The Ponyta shook her head. They had to go!
Tia wasn't used to people like this, people who cared about others even when they didn't know them. So it was strange, strange to hear this man speak about things, and talk about how he was going to help her. Tia felt like she could trust him, trust that he was being honest with her. She didn't feel anything bad about him, and that was a good sign. Tia didn't claim to know people just from meeting them, but having a good feeling was always a good sign right? It wasn't like she had met that many people considering she had been trapped inside most of the time. The only people that knew her were the watch and about everyone because she was her father's daughter, but not because it was just her they wanted to meet.
"No one has ever said that, but I really want to. I really want to explore the world." she admitted telling him the same thing that he wanted. Perhaps the two of them were a lot more alike than she thought. Tia hadn't really met the other, but she wanted to after all of this. He was after all going to be the reason she had a chance to get out of here. AT least, that was her thought until they managed to get caught. She had told him to leave but she was surprised when a rock hurled past her knocking the radio out of the guards hand as he yelled at them.
Before Tia could even manage to say anything, arms suddenly wrapped around her and hefted her up. A bright flush on her face formed and she squirmed a little but quieted at his words. "Ehhh?! I'm being man handled." she squealed but she wouldn't fight him. Not after she realized just where he was running. He really was trying to get her out wasnt he? There was no way he could have ran this fast with her running with him. Realizing he was trying to help still she gently clutched onto his shirt only flinching slightly when the whistle hit her ears.
A ponyta?
The girl had seen pictures and oh it was beautiful, and suddenly she was tossed onto it and given a command. Tia didn't even hesitate and grabbed onto it clutching tight as she felt the other get on behind her as her eyes fixed on the fire. "R-Right!" she said quickly trying to squeeze with her legs and knees. "G-Go!" she said after he finished almost yelping again when the pokemon started to rear but was stopped by Al. "Go Go GO!" she called again shutting her eyes and probably holding on for dear life. This was terrifying but not nearly as much as it would be if they were found.

Some amount of words for Titannia Heart shame on you, alastair. helping a criminal!
Who in the world wouldn't want someone exploring? Hell, Alastair could make an adventure going from the kitchen to the living room. He used to all the time when he was a kid. And none of that 'the floor is lava' crap. It was having to somehow swing off of a lap, land on a table, do a roll cause you'r going down a canyon, then steal the cookies. His mother gave up trying to make sure he didn't hurt himself about a week later. The first aid kit was always out. But there was no time to think about that. He ignored her man-handling commit and kept going, and once they were on August, he knew they had to get out of there.
He waited as patiently as they could before they got going, waiting for the order to get moving. At the order, Alastair dug his heels into August's sides and yelled 'YAH!' August darted forward, her hooves clicking violently against the ground as the sped towards one of the exits, her speed increasing with every stride. Ponyta were amazing creatures... Alastair wondered how fast she would be when she evolved. He could hear the alarm blaring, but the wind drowned it out mostly. Alastair spared a glance behind them and cursed under his breath. They were being chased. He placed a hand against the girl's back and tried to make her bend over a little. The less wind resistance they had, the faster they would go. That, and with two people, August wasn't reaching her top speed yet. It would take just a few more strides.
"You have to go faster, girl!" he yelled, August snorting back at him. She hit the ground hard with one hoof and darted again, pushing herself to move faster than she usually would have with the weight of two people. The wind was stinging Alastair's eyes. He wiped away the moister and tightened his grip on the reigns, but leaving August with plenty of room. They were almost there. He could see it!
He kicked August's sides again and the Ponyta had another burst of speed before she reverted back to what she was going for. Alastair could hear her panting. "We're almost there, girl! One more dash!" he yelled at her. August shook her head out and kept going. One could only imagine how her legs were feeling. Like jello, probably.
The gates were almost closed and Alastair held his breath. They passed through the large iron doors right before they snapped closed, nipping a flame from August's tail. Alastair looked behind them. They weren't out of the woods yet.
He waited until they were far enough away that the lights of the city seemed somewhat distant. He slowed August down and pulled her to the edge of a small stream. August didn't waste any time. She drunk the water, careful to not get the desert sands in her mouth. Alastair got off the saddle and held out his hand to the girl. "We can't stay here for long. Chances are they'll send people out. We have to get going soon to keep ahead. By the time morning comes though, our tracks might be covered." He couldn't believe he just help someone run away from the police. Good bye clean record.
It was exciting, frightening and exciting all at the same time. It had never been a thought process that she could possibly become an adrenaline junky. Holding on for dear life the young researcher tried really hard not to freak out on the other but after they had started running she had quickly shut her eyes. Her hands would probably be white by the time this was over by gripping onto the horn as tight as she was. This was a completely new experience for Tia and maybe just maybe she would have fun later, but right now she didnt know exactly how to feel.
Her legs were also slowly trying to give out, but she fought to hold on like the other said, leaning forward when he pushed against her back. Tia could tell that the other was saying something but the wind was all that her ears could pick up as they picked up speed. Her body was probably shaking by that point as she heard the loud closing sound of the gate sound behind them but that wasn't where it stopped as they rushed forward getting away from Phenac as far as they could until Tia could hardly believe she could still feel any part of her body. Though to be fair, she had lost feeling in her legs and hands a while back.
Finally they slowed some and the small frame of Tia slumped forward when the ponyta did to get a drink. She could feel a weight move off behind her and her blue orbs moved to the man who had saved her. It took a moment as she glanced back to her hands as she slowly started to pry them from the horn where they had been all this time. A small whimper came from the girl as she did it hurt to move her fingers if at all and they felt like they were going to be curled for a while before she regained any sensible feeling in them. "... r-right" was all she managed as her hands weakly moved to his as she pretty much slipped off the saddle with little to no feeling in her legs.
"Ahhh everything hurts." she moaned in pain. Part of her wondered how this guy could stand so much of it.

Some amount of words for Titannia Heart "Are you sure? Young, trying to run from home... like a mob boss's daughter :I"
The adrenaline was racing through his body. That was the first time since graduation he actually felt... excited? Happy? It wasn't the feeling of maybe doing something bad or illegal, it was more of the fact that holy mother of Poochyena he literally escaped the police on a Ponyta. The feeling was lost though. Alastair peered over a rock back at the city. He didn't see any dust rising from vehicles and there was nothing in the sky. Not yet. Once they get out of their jurisdiction, though, it would be safer for them both to take traveling a little easier. For now, though, they could rest. Alastair went over to August once the girl dismounted, taking off his backpack from her saddle and rummaging around in it. He took out some bandages and went to wrapped August's knees, to prevent any sort of possible infection if they cracked during their run.
"Heh, yeah. That happens. You'll be sore for a while," he sighed as he continued to wrap August's knees. All four of them. "Strengthens the muscles though." He finished wrapping up August's legs and began to rummage around in his bag again.
"Here, you'll want this later," he said, putting a water bottle on a rock for her to take. "My name is Alastair by the way, Alastair Rome." He got out his own water bottle and sat on the sand, taking a quick sip before putting it back and zipping up his bag. August lifted her head from the stream and gave a soft neigh at him, nuzzling his hair. Yes, his personal hair stylist. She licked it. "Ew, stop," he said, pushing her nose away.
As he got back up, he knew what question he had to ask next, no matter how uncomfortable it made both of them... or the girl for that matter. He put his backpack back on the saddle, making sure it was hooked properly. "So... I think you owe me an explanation," he said softly, trying not to sound accusatory. "Why did you want to leave so bad?" He thought it was a fair question. He helped her run, he got an explanation.
