Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

Some amount of words for Endric Von Ruhan short and late ;^; SORRY SORRY
Accidents lost their flare for Alastair a long time ago. After bad luck following you for most of your life, one just got used to it. So when the stranger went up in the air and hit the ground, Alastair could only smile and breathe out a small sigh. Yeah that seemed about right. The guy looked alright though. He didn't hit his head too herd from the looks of it. He peered at the stranger when the Roselia ran over, watching the two interact. Potato gave another low growl, this time it sounded like a sort of crude laugh.
Alastair looked to his dog at the question. "I suppose Potato could," he answered, "but the questions is will he?" The puppy was sweet to almost everyone, but every Pokemon and person had a dark side. Potato was no exception. He would probably find a ghost causing a scare entertaining. "You alright?" Alastair asked. The guy got his turn getting hurt, the next fourteen would probably be Alastair's time. He was already mentally prepared. Honestly, Alastair was the type of guy who could sit perfectly still and have the curtains catch fire.

The man seemed to have a rather, nonchalant response? Endric would admit, it wasn't what he was expecting and if nothing else it peaked his interest. He liked the sorts of people that didn't respond as he expected. Perhaps like was actually a little too strong a word but he certainly enjoyed having them around at least for a little while. It was nice to press their buttons and see what happened. Of course that meant he'd have to find out what pressed this guy's buttons. [break][break] "I'm fine." he rose to his feet and dusted himself off, which Ivalice took it upon herself to help with. The pokemon went in circles around him furiously patting him with her flowers before getting distracted by something on a shelf and prancing over to it. "He keeps making noises like he has been and I imagine we'd know." Endric more or less ignored her and let her do as she pleased, the pokemon was often silly and he found it easier to leave her be rather than try and curtail her. [break][break] Endric made his way over to the shelf his roselia was inspecting, shining a light over the items on it as he spoke again. "Oh, I don't think we ever introduced ourselves!" He gave the other an apologetic look. "My name's Endric." he hoped there wouldn't be any comments on the oddity of it, he hated having to dodge around the fact his name was a typo because his father didn't hear the k in Kendric until it was too late and his parents simply never fixed it on his birth certificate. [break] Alastair Rome it's fine you were busy I don't mind <3
He watched the other get up and dust himself off. Well, at least he seemed fine. Alastair has half a mind to let Tuesday out so the Lapras could clean the guy off with a Mist, but for some reason that idea probably wouldn't go off well. Oh well. Alastair glanced down at Potato when the dog let out a vicious bark at the man's comment. Huh, perhaps the guy was haunted. Or perhaps he just wasn't a dog-friendly person. Pokemon could sense those things. Alastair shook it off and decided to ignore it. He would keep an eye on his back though. Something was giving him the creeps.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Endric," Alastair said. He hesitated and then gave a brighter smile. "I'm Professor Alastair Rome." Yes. The professor was necessary. It got the point across that, no, Alastair was not in fact incompetent. He just had bad luck. He hated saying the professor part, but he needed to get used to it, especially when he returned to the labs. It wasn't that Alastair hated the title, he just found it dry and bland. Now... Captain Alastair Rome had a ring to it!
Alastair began to walk forward, Potato sticking close to his side and keeping an eye on the stranger. Low and behold, the accident happened. The floorboards almost gave out again and Alastair jumped back in time to land on his backside. Potato shined at him and licked Alastair's face. "I'm alright, boy," Alastair said, standing up. He peered down the hole. "Seems like this place just really wants me in the basement." He sighed. He rubbed the back of his head. "But I was already down there and there is nothing interesting... except those bones but who cares?" he asked Potato. The dog shrugged the best a dog could shrug.

'Professor', so he'd stumbled upon a man with a title. How impressive, if he'd been speaking out loud such a comment would have dripped with sarcasm. There was a reason it was kept to himself. The title was not impressive, titles were easily bought and put on a plaque. "Professor? That's impressive!" he'd play it as such at least. Endric didn't turn back to him until he heard the boards snapping. [break][break] Both pokemon and trainer alike snapped to attention at the same time with a look of mild surprise on Endric's face and one of exaggerated surprise on Ivalice's. Before Endric could even start talking his Roselia was already scurrying over to Alistair's side to see if he was alright. "Professor, are you okay?" He followed his pokemon after she started jumping next to the blond with a concerned look and an abundance of worried chittering. "Ivalice please, calm down" at least she stopped jumping, even if she still seemed very concerned and stared at the hole that was now in the floor. [break][break] Endric shone his light down through the gap. "Wait, did you just say bones?" he gulped. He couldn't have actually cared less but he wanted to make it look like he did at least. [break] Alastair Rome <3
He brushed the dirt off of himself. "No, not really. Just trying it out," he said. Professor was too formal. What was Al, old? Why couldn't he choose his own title? Explorer or adventurer or "just leave me along and let me work" would be great. He didn't fit the professor stereotype either. Alastair didn't fit anything actually. Finding jackets that had long enough sleeves was difficult enough. But professor felt like the jacket was too short and the arms too tight. He didn't like it. He would make a point to be called Alastair from then on out. Unless someone pissed him off. Then he expected something like "Dr.". The worry of the Roselia was adorable though. He smiled at her. "Thank you for your concern, ma'am." Potato gave a happy whine at the Pokemon, and shot a look back at the other human.
"Just call me Al," he said to Endric. He walked around the hole as delicately as possible, Potato sticking to his heels. "And yeah, bones. Not human." Alastair picked up something that looked interesting. He threw it to the side when he discovered it was a piece of wood carved to look interesting. "I was hoping for something more interesting." He got near a wall and tapped against it. "For example, some old documents, a hidden room, something like that." He took a step back and then kicked a hole in it. Just large enough for Potato. He gave Potato a nod and the puppy squeezed into the wall and began to sniff around for something of interest. "Skeletons in the closet, I guess."
Some would think one would be more worried about the fact that they were going around a house and apparently pissing off the spirits, but Alastair couldn't find himself to care. The ghost had already failed to kill him about twenty times ever since he walked in here. "So, Endric," said Alastair while he waited for Potato. He leaned against the wall and looked at the other. "What do you do?" A question of curiosity, but mostly to be polite. The lack of evidence for those rumors he had heard was beginning to aggravate him.

The Roselia's eyes seemed to sparkle when she was called ma'am. That was something she hadn't been called before but she heard the word on the TV once. It was always said to pretty ladies, something she liked to fancy herself being. She couldn't have been happier! So happy even that she followed behind him when he walked away, swinging her arms as far as they went like the people she saw on the shows. [break][break] "Sorry, first thing to come to mind." Endric put on a nervous show over having called the guy the wrong thing. He had hoped to play into the title but it seemed the guy didn't have a strong enough ego for that to work in his favor the way he wanted it to. He let himself look at ease over the bones not being human though. That would have been concerning for a man with a delicate disposition even if he had been from Orre all his life. Of course in reality Endric was a little disappointed it wasn't human bones, would have made the place a bit more exciting. [break][break] Endric watched as the other man walked away, kicking in a wall and what have you with his own pokemon moving to stand next to Alastair and watch with interest at what he and the pooch were up to. Gross. Then Endric had a bit of an idea, what if he simply got a little too close? "What would make you think the place had anything like that laying around?" he leaned over the hole slowly, as though cautiously peering in to see the bones for himself. "Place seems pretty rundo-" Endric let a foot slip and in he went, just barely catching the edge of the hole to hang on to and it creaked at his weight. "Shit, shit, shit!" there was a worried tone to his voice as he clung to the side of the hole and feigned trying to pull himself up to no avail, playing at being so very frail. "A little help here please!" [break][break] The Roselia was already running to where he was clinging to help, not that she could actually lift his weight but she'd certainly try. She was jumping from foot to foot in worry and fear he'd fall, looking back and forth between the two humans as she didn't know what else to do. [break][break] Endric hoped the other man would come to his aid, if for no other reason than it would give him a chance to try and pull them both down the hole. Discreetly of course, he wasn't about to make it obvious. [break] Alastair Rome <3

Some amount of words for Endric Von Ruhan Late? I'm sorry, I don't know that word
Potato trotted out of the hole and sat by Alastair. Only to see the man fall into the hole. Potato wagged his tail and started to trot away only to find his human was more interested in the man clinging to the edge of the hole. Potato let his tail drop and he walked back over to Alastair, giving a grumbling growl. He had half a mind to bite the man's hands and send him down the hole but... well, Alastair wouldn't be too happy if he did that now would he?
Alastair peered at the man, almost feeling pity. But once you get hurt enough times, you started to get to the point that you assumed it happened to everyone. Alastair smiled at him. "What's wrong? Never fell down a hole before?" he asked playfully. He knelled down and anchored himself before grabbing Endric's arm. Potato gave a growl. Alastair looked to him. "Honestly? You're doing that now?" Potato gave a bark and a whine. Then he gave Endric a sideways look. The dog didn't trust the other human, and the dog also couldn't understand why Alastair couldn't see that there was something fishy. Even a weakling could pull themselves up if they were actually scared of falling. It was called adrenaline and a will to live. This human apparently had neither in such a time.
Alastair tolled his eyes. "Alright, Endric, just grab my arm and don't flail," said Alastair. "I'll pull you up." He refrained from insulting the man's strength. Although Alastair assumed most people got into accidents, he didn't assume they were all strong. Not that he was very strong, but he did work out. When Death was trying to get you around every corner, you had to be quick and able to lift a wooden beam off of you. It was the only way to ensure that Death didn't win. But he did keep getting more clever.
"Thank heavens." he had a relieved look on his face, both for the show and the fact the guy played right along. Honestly it wouldn't have taken him much to pull himself up but that wouldn't have been as much fun as going on a little trip with this guy. Though he was a little disappointed in the guy's reactions so far. He was proving a tough cookie to get something out of, even now. There wasn't an ounce of panic on the guy's face and Endric couldn't quite decide if it was getting on his nerves or not. [break][break] Endric wasted no time on getting a grip on the guy's arm, making a show of getting himself at least a little steady on the edge of the hole though he was glad to hear the old floor creaking still. "I'll try." he wasn't promising anything. Of course he was paying attention to the creaks, to where it had seemed to be weaker and made a point to have most of his weight be put there as he tried to pull himself up, slowly mind you, he was quite terrified after all. When he heard a particularly loud creak though he took the opportunity to panic a little, fumbling and slipping, barely keeping hold of Alastair. Well enough of a hold that if the other wasn't able to pull the panicking useless weight of a 6ft 4 man out of a weak hole in the floor they'd both be going through it here in a moment.
Alastair Rome honestly i can't get this one to be satisfactory so sorry if it feels wanky. :\

Some amount of words for Endric Von Ruhan Late? I'm sorry, I don't know that word
That was not something Alastair had expected. One would assume that, when in danger, the body would go towards support or jump towards safety. Yet here they were, at the bottom of the hole. Alastair laid there on his stomach, organizing his thoughts. He was a seasoned man in distress. He knew how panic and shock worked before it lost its pazazz. Originally, Alastair had no problems holding him, even when the man panicked. But it was something else that got him. Alastair wasn't positioned right and ended up falling down himself. It wasn't a bad fall. Exactly like the one before. This time Alastair relaxed as he fell and let his body fall where it did. So here he was, raising himself up on his elbows with Potato jumping onto his back.
Alastair rubbed the dog's head and bumped their foreheads together. Maybe Potato was onto something. With a grunt, Alastair stood up and stretched. "Ah, yes, the creepy basement. You know, if you wanted to come down here you could have just asked," he said to the man. Potato watched the other man, sitting silently at Alastair's heels. Alastair watched the other. Something did seem off. He had felt it nagging at him before but now he was even more sure. He didn't feel threatened by this guy. If anything, Alastair was an expert at running away as well as running to. But it would be better to see if he could pry something out from this guy. Who knew how long that would take, but the idea seemed promising. If this guy was hiding something, then Alastair wanted to know.
"You alive? Or do I need to drag your corpse to a ditch?" he asked. He silently hoped the former. Dragging a body was far too much work.
There were days Endric cursed his own commitment to roles once he started playing them. This was one of those days and his mind dwelled on this thought as he lay there on his back. He was going to be sore tomorrow, he was probably going to avoid this house for the rest of his stay in Orre and a part of him was starting to hope he did not see this guy again so he would not have to play this role a second time. [Break][break] "I'm ok, that hurt though." he sighed and propped himself up on his elbows. He looked around and made note that any other daythis basement would have been fun to explore. He gulped and made a look like he'd seen a ghost somewhere deep in the shadows. "You'd really just leave my body in a ditch though?" he gave the guy a questioning look but before he could get an answer he noticed Ivalice who had stayed out of the way and was freaking out above the hole. [Break][break] "Calm down Iva, I'm fine alright? Look I'm ok." he winced as he got to his feet to show her but it didn't seem to help any, actually it just made her try to get down the hole and back to him. In a panic (one that actually had an ounce of truth, Ivalice being his world after all) Endric fetched, fumbled and managed to catch her pokeball and get a grip good enough to return her to it before she fell. The sigh of relief was genuine.
