Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

This time it wasn't Maiya that found the item, rather mason who had been rummaging through some of the piles of rubble that were sitting around the ship bottom. He moved his nose around trying to find anything that smelled suspicious. He didn't find anything smelly per say but he did find something that looked like it could be a toy and he bit down on it gently before trotting back to Maiya with it in her mouth. [break][break] Maiya took the item and found it to be a TM, much to her delight. TMs were always useful items to find and one oft he things that gave her a good reason to go through places like this in the first place. It was pocketed and she noticed her egg moving a bit. Interesting. She'd keep an eye on that. [break] mason out

And suddenly out from behind a pile of rubble came a heracross. She wasn't really a fan of the thing if she were being honest but since she'd begun dabbling in breeding she needed to catch a bigger variety of pokemon. At least it wasn't one of those kind that made you cringe when she looked at it. She refused to own a pinsir for example. Never happening. [break][break] "Leave not dead okay Mason?" the growlithe barked at her before running into range to use ember on the bug type, it was particularly potent. It waved its arms around trying to dispell the fire before using arm thrust on the growlithe. Mason's intimidating look seemed to keep it from really going for it though. He leered at the thing before jumping in to bite down on its arm. He responded by trying to use a horn attack on him but his next ember did more damage than it could handle. Tired and whimpering a little the dog pokemon backed off and returned to his trainers side. "Well done." [break][break] Maiya threw out a pokeball, she'd get the bug healed up before too long and see what she might be able to do with it down the road. [break] Mason defeated heracross[break] capture attempt made[break] mason out
When he said he was lost she thought about sending him on his way in the direction of town but of course, much to her dismay he promptly followed up with his inquiry about which way to go with releasing her pokemon so as the punish her for assuming, or rather for pointing out the obvious fact that he was lost. [break][break] Yes this was exactly how Maiya wanted all of this to go. [break][break] He started things off with a Gulpin and Maiya gave it a funny look before giving Mason a wave of approval since he seemed interested in the battle. "Try and use Ember more, those things can be nasty to touch." was the only advise she gave but she had a feeling the pokemon wasn't going to be able to uphold it completely. Poor thing had proven to not have the best move set. The dog like pokemon was already well on its way to leering at the ball of whatever gulpin's were made of before using ember on it instead of a bite just like maiya told him to. [break][break] The trainer's pokemon responded by releasing a poison gas and Maiy starting backing away, motioning for Mason to do the same. "Wait for it to disperse" While he waited the growlithe continued to leer at the blob of green, even as it released more poison gas and they stayed away from it. Leering until finally everything dispersed enough for them to try and get in close again, interrupting the pokemon's yawn attack with a bite that proved devastating after all that leering. [break][break] Next he dropped an electrike, as much as Maiya wanted to let Logan rest she knew he'd be the best choice due to his typing. Returning Mason to his pokeball she dropped Logan back out on the field, looking a little tired and quite possibly grumpy from having been woken up from his nap but oh well. He'd get over it. [break][break] The electrike started things off with a thunder wave and Logan shook it off without any care for the move at all, making some mudied sand out of the nearby terrain before throwing a mudshot at the pokemon, covering its face in goopy sand. It tried to use quick attack but ended up being off target from the sand in its face, letting logan side step and slam a muddied fin down for a mudslap. She was pretty sure the only reason the enemy didn't feint then and there was the fact it seemed to be a slightly higher level. The pokemon shook off enough of the sand to get a good look at Logan and leer at him, Logan however was still impatient. He mudslapped the electrike and it feinted. [break][break] Maiya did not bother to point the guy in the right direction now, she was too busy using a potion on Logan before then moved on to continue exploring the ship a little longer.

Not long after the battle while Maiya was busy trying to find something else to break into a little cubone waddled its way into view. They were cute, she herself actually kind of liked them, not her battle style but she liked having them around. "Play nice Logan." She stood watch over the little battle that was about to ensue just in case. [break][break] Logan blindsided the poor thing, slinging a shot of muddied sand at it from the side. The poor thing let out a cry of alarm and tried to waggle its bone around to bone club whatever had caused the shot but it didn't do much since it couldn't quite seem to find it. While it was busy getting the sand out of its eyes Logan walked up behind it and smacked it with a still muddied flipper. The cubone responded with a growl and a swinging club as it now knew which was to swing but the slap that followed was more the enough to deter it from attacking again. [break][break] "That's enough." while Logan backed off (and Maiya noted he seemed a bit calm now than he had been prior to evolving which she was a little greatful for) she retrieved another pokeball from her bag and threw it at the weakened cubone for capture. It'd make a decent addition to the growing stores of pokemon she had.

Maiya didn't bother asking how the chick ended up out at the ship she just went along with it for the most part since she wanted to get back to looting the place and that was a little hard when you had company that was demanding your attention and threatening to well... take your loot. [break][break] The woman grinned when she dropped a pineco on the field and Maiya retrieved Logan to replace with Mason and her smile turned to a frown. Type advantage and all that. Helped logan actually did know a fire type move. [break][break] The woman tried to start things off with a rapid spin and Maiya rolled her eyes telling her pokemon to stay out of range and burn it when it got too close. This went on for a little while before the girl chose to use protect instead and with a proud smirk she told her pineco to hold out. Maiya told Mason to wait patiently and he did, sat down even while they watched. Suddenly she told her pineco to try and rapid spin in. [break][break] Mason used ember at the last moment and lo and behold the pineco stopped mid spins and fell over. [break][break] Maiya shooed the lady away and returned to looting the ship, though she had a feeling her luck was getting close to running out just like it had back when she harrassed the snagem base for all it was worth.
