Long ago, the region of Orre was a place of untold danger, where two groups: Cipher and Snagem, wished to rule the region through the power of shadow pokemon. Pokemon who's hearts had been closed and were used as machines to fight rather than as partners to the trainers who caught them. These groups were defeated by courageous young trainers who wished to free pokemon from these fates and restore peace back to Orre. That peace has lasted many years and perhaps has done more bad than good for the region of Orre. With so much peach, how will the region react to the rumors of Cipher returning once again? The peace has been a blessing indeed, but with peace always springs a new enemy that wishese to destroy it once again. Which side shall you choose in this endless struggle between peace and chaos?

She'd given the little Vulpix a bit of a work out with the Roselia hunt before returning to Pyrite with Reggie, now it was time to do some of the real training and get the hatchling up to par with the rest of the team. This was especially true after Maiya made her decision to have the shiny little bugger replace its mother on her battle team. Meryl had never been that much of a battle eager pokemon anyway and didn't seem to mind letting one of her daughters take over the position. [break][break] The Vulpix in question was being carried at Maiya's hip with her little paws going 90 nothing in the air below her as though she were running around on the ground next to her. The little thing got distracted by everything and the only sure fire way Maiya had found to make sure Sage at least reached their destination, if nothing else, was to carry her from battle to battle. [break][break] It was quite the sight really, a little blond woman carrying around a matching vulpix that cooing away at everything she saw and trying to wiggle out of her trainers arms to go check everything out. Luckily Maiya was a lot stronger than most people took her for.

Maiya had no idea what the little boy was going on about when he started rambling about all that ninja stuff. Sure she knew of nijas but he was going on about something that sounded like it really had nothing to do with ninjas at all and she rose a brow and asked him if he was okay. [break][break] Apparently this made an Onimaru ally or some shit and worthy of being battled. She had to try not to scoff at the type set up seeing as that thing was going to have to be pretty over leveled to not fall to type disadvantage. She set sage down and just told little thing to let loose the fire. [break][break] Sage instead got into a play position and started to wiggle her little but in a tail whip at the sneasel and took a hit from its quick attack. Luckily she wisened up after that though and followed up with ember. Super effective and the little kid's tantrum did not do his pokemon any good when it came to its next attack so it just tried to quick attack again but this time sage jumped aside at the last moment and was simply grazed. Embering the enemy again before it could come in close to scratch at her, she was still new and getting the hang of moving around the field and had trouble getting out of the way dropping another ember on the enemy. [break][break] Luckily for Sage typing was to her advantage and the sneasal fainted. Maiya picked up sage and moved along before there could be any more trouble or temper tantrums.

Maybe if Reggie were here Maiya would have pitted him against the guy so she could watch him pose and show off his muscles. That would have made this little encounter worth it. As it was she simply pointed to her Vulpix to indicate she'd rather this turn into a battle instead since she couldn't call reggie up to deal with this one. [break][break] She had to try not to laugh and feelbad for the guy when he had a wumrple and nothing else. There was no way he was winning this and even he could tell from the look on his face but he would try. It started off with a string shot which Sage simply set on fire before well... setting the bug on fire. It shot off some poison stings but was distracted by the burning sensation a little too much and found that difficult to aim. Her pokemon shot off some more embers and the poor wurmple tried to retaliate with more sticky string shots. A little bit of fire never hurt anybody but this wurmple. [break][break] Maiya gave the guy an apologetic smile and tried to just hurry on past and let the guy clean up the mess of the fight without any nearby witnesses to his shame.

Apparently she was a dragon now and this little boy wanted a fight. She was sure how that worked out but the kid said something her long hair obviously relating her to a dragon and she decided it was easier to just roll with it instead of argue with the kid so she told him he'd figured her out and to be forewarned, dragons donvt go down easy. The kid seemed delighted someone was playing along even as he let out his mudkip and told it to do battle. [Break][break] She wasn't sure what this trend with easy to beat oponents was all about but she kind of felt bad for the kid with how easy a fight it was. All Sage had to do was a single extrasensory attack and the poor thing fainted. Maiya stuck around to give the kid a little training advice before making sure he'd get home safe and returning to the square. Though she did take the time to drop by her room and pick up the swinub egg she'd forgotten to bring with her earlier.

Honestly it was worth asking why a Numel walked out from around the corner. It was an odd thing to see to be honest. Numel waddling through the town in that way it did but then again this region was a bit odd anyway and it cities were far from the density of the other regions. [break][break] Either way there was no trainer in sight which meant it was Maiya's now. [break][break] "Have fun." she told her vulpix before pointing out its new play mate. The numel seems oblivious to the approaching vulpix until she used extrasensory on it. That got its attention and it retaliated with an expected ember attack. That was fine, Sage wasn't bothered by it anyway. If anything it made her following ember attack even stronger anyway. The numel responded by growling at the fox and trying to tackle it which almost seemed to make Sage giggle in response before using another extrasensory attack. The numel tackled again and Sage jumped to the side, using her same attack again and watching it weaken. "That's enough." [break][break] After her fox fell back Maiya threw out a pokeball, hoping to capture the little thing and take it home too.
